Killian, Allana's father has a father of his own, and a twin brother Rory.
Her father was born in Ravok. He has no real residence since he's prone to sailing...and pillaging with his own ship, his father Fion handed down to him. Fion was born in Zeltiva where he learned how to build, and sail ships. After Fion got his own ship there was no stopping him. He traveled throughout Mizahar visiting most all of the cities he could. Fion made a point to dock his large ship near Nyka, having heard about Ravok and how the city was floating on top of a huge lake his curiosity got the better of him, and he wanted to see how people could make a city float.
Fion being a strong sailing man made the 400 mile trip in about 30 days which wasn't bad for a 40 something year old man. He had joined a traveling caravan to get himself there safely which is why it took three extra days for the children sake. After he made his way into Ravok he was swept up in the whole experience, he learned much about The Black Sun, Rhysol. He even found his way over to the House of Immortal Pleasures. While there he found himself a woman and the consequence of that drunken night was Killian and Rory. Fion being the traveling man he was didn't stick around to see the twins grow into two fine young boys.
The boys' mother sadly did not make it though the childbirth
Their mother had a friend she intrusted her boys onto another working girl just like she had been. Iona had agreed to take care of the boys and promised to quit her ill-famed job. After fulfilling her promise Iona started working hard at The Spot. Earning enough to keep a livable residence as well as provide for her two newborn, even though these boys weren't Iona's she still loved them like they were hers. Even when they were toddlers Iona the boys' mother could tell that there was something slightly off with Killian. He would bully his slightly younger brother when they were around the age of
five cats and dogs around the area that people had been keeping as pets were coming up missing or had either been found dead. Iona bless her heart tried to deny the fact that it was her very own Killian killing these poor innocent animals. Alas when she found a collection of three bloody knives, she was no longer able to deny the facts. What Iona didn't know is that the knife set in actuality didn't belong to Killian, but none other than her own beloved Rory. Iona had tried to parent Killian the "correct" way and try to teach him how to be caring about other people, and what not. Sadly none of it took...
By the time they had reached their
teenage years Rory had delved into the teachings of the Black Sun.
While Iona urged Killian to take to the docks to begin learning all he could about ships and sailing all he could. Iona thought that maybe if Killian had an outlet that he could use his hands with that maybe just maybe Killian would develop a kind and caring heart like Rory had or at least she thought Rory had.
On the outside yes Rory does seam to be a much more caring person than Killian.
Rory had developed a great love for the God of evil and as such began spreading the "joyous" teaching of Rhysol making sure chaos would follow in his wake wherever he should go. While Killian is outright with how cruel he his Rory is calculating and careful in how he spreads his caring love for Rhysol which means his mother Iona is none with wiser and thinks he's out praying at the temple most days. After a few years of praying and going about the Rhysol way he obtained his first Gnosis mark. Adding two more years onto that he got his second. At the age of 17 Rory had finally discovered that his "mother" Iona wasn't exactly who she said she was. Iona suddenly died of a tragic accident later that same night. He then decided that he should travel about spreading the chaos that is Rhysol. Rory left at the age of 18, where he was going he didn't know. Killian had no idea he was leaving they just woke up one morning and Rory was gone. With Iona dead Killian was left with no family to support him, he lived on alone now.
By the time the boys hit 30 Rory had gotten his third Gnosis mark, and Killian had found their father who was teaching him the finer ways of being a sailor.
Rory had taken back to his home town of Ravok where he did the bidding of The Black Sun as they see fit. After learning all he could from his old man Killian simply killed him one night, having no remorse he dumped the muteness crew of on some island. Still having enough men to sail he began a traveling man. Offering passage to any civilians(and non-civilians) who had enough Miza, and enough wits to survive the time across with such a dark crew as well as a ruthless captain. With the time with his father Killian had learned how to hide his dark side, much like Rory had years ago. Which makes it much easier for Killian to sucker in more clientele. Running this business is how Killian met Orla, the mother of his daughter Allana.
