The unassuming den of the Constrictor Dhani, it is truly a pit of snakes. Travelers should take care, because the Dhani are always hungry... [Lore]

Buried Treasures

Most shops make it easy for the wandering Dhani to slide into and look around. Buried Treasures, is no such shop. In order to enter the store one has to crawl directly downward into a large fainlty glowing chasm, all but forcing the wanderer to be in human form or risk scratching their scales severely in the process.

Once down a wide, but jagged passage leads one into a narrow shop, surprisingly dry, light, and warm. Overhangings and ornate shelves hold scrolls of all kinds, enough odds and ends to make one wonder if this is actually a hidden corner of the Fence shop, and various glyphed objects.

A long flat slab of marble acts as the table for buying as well as a work station for the eccentric Constrictor who spends most of her life down in her strange peice of Zinrah. She once had a name, but now everyone simply calls her Glyph, and it is the only way to get her to respond to a potential shopper.

Despite the climb and strange location of Buried Treasures, Glyph boasts reasonable prices for her scrolls as well as maker fees for those who wish to have her construct something of their own ideas. She is also an expert calligrapher and can construct beautiful looking notations for those looking for more mundane items.

Race: Dhani, Constrictor
DoB: 375 A.V.
Position: Owner of Buried Treasures
Skills: Glyphing 60, Calligraphy 50, Reimancy 26, Shielding 26, Morphing 30
Gnosis: 2 Venenum
Additional Info:

Glyph is a shut in and a perfect example of the mental stress and fatigue that magic can exact upon the mind. Occasionally she will come off as quite lucid, take orders simply and precisely and get back to her customers on time. These occasions are rare, however, and it is far more likely she will talk in cryptic patterns, never complete orders on time, or charge far too much or far too little for her products. Rumors circulate that she bartered with Siku herself for her second Venunum, though no one knows what the Goddess got in return for her gift to the strange Constrictor.

In human form she looks rather like a Myrian except with eerie green eyes. In Dhani or Snake form she is forest green with ivory and light green patterns down her head and back.

Lissandra
SPECIAL NOTE: If you are utilizing this location after the 90th of Fall 513 A.V., you are dealing with Lissandra, not the real Gylph.

Position: Owner of Buried Treasures
Skills: Glyphing 60, Calligraphy 50, Reimancy 26, Shielding 26, Morphing 30
Gnosis: 2 Venenum
Additional Info: Something has changed about Glyph. Her appearance has not changed, yet the female is frequently seen going to True Beauty, and anyone who has come by the shop after the Fall of 513, has noticed a startling difference in the Constrictors demeanor and the way she carries herself. Firstly she is lucid, and takes great pains to keep her physical appearance intact in all of her forms. Secondly though she somtimes fumbles with her works, she always completes her orders in a timely manner, and is almost overly polite to those she serves within Buried Treasure

The information below cannot be known unless properly discovered through threading and came about through this thread

Lissandra is actually an ancient Dhani, her mind or perhaps simply her memories trapped in an intricately glyphed Collar that is now bound around Glyph's throat, rendering the loopy Constrictor's mind inert and giving control of her body to Lissandra, who was a Priestess of Siku in a time before Constrictors were forced underground. She goes to great length to conceal the tightly bound collar around her neck. Since it is easiest to hide in human form with long hair and makeup that can match it to her skin this is the form she most often appears in now.

Wares
Glyph's wares are scattered and largely unorganized, but the majority of her goods are scrolls which are organized into 3 categories: Morphing, Reimancy, and Shielding each of these scrolls which are her standard cost 75 GM apeice and have different effects like temporarily turning someone into a tiger, releasing fireballs on command, or shielding against a specific element. Though the Constrictor is a wingnut, her scrolls are always good solid quality.

You can also buy surprise scrolls for 25 GM with mixed and random effects!

Glyph also specializes in glyphing old weaponry she collects, and has barrels filled with swords, axes and daggers that are glyphed so that when the bearer is in mortal danger they will become alight in flame. This of course then ruins the weapon after the fight, but they remain a popular seller, and cost 100 GM for large weapons, 75 GM for medium weapons, and 50 GM for small ones.

She also sells her calligraphy work for 3 GM a bell.

If you're looking for something more specific simply inquire within, though custom jobs always cost more.
