Fire leaped to Evalin's fingertips as she turned, tilting her head back to avoid the stroke of flame thrown at her by her own mirror image. Hissing Evalin completed her rotation, sending her own flaming projectiles, four of them, scorching through the air directly at her opponent who simply sidestepped, res flowing from her fingers in a sudden burst of wind and air that displaced the last of the missiles slightly to the side where it sputtered and died in the dirt.
Your skills are improving... Evalin noted through their link, her next spell already tingling through her body as more res poured out of her palms to twine between her fingers.
With our growing bond and link together, my skills grow. What my Master knows, I know as well...
"Hakin." Evalin commanded her spell, sparks flying from her fingertips as she pointed at her Familiar in replicate form, Duly noted, but it will not help you now. With a crash of thunder a bolt of blue electric energy arched from the nuit's fingertips, striking at Tsenrika as he turned once more, res gathered along his left side transformed to air as it burst outward, giving him a sudden push to propel him sideways, avoiding the lighting which cracked and crackled against the trunk of a large tree. The spell was not especially powerful, but it did leave a blacked mark upon the wood.
The Familiar rolled, coming to his feet and clapping his hands together. The leaves about his body began to move, swirling in circles around him as he mumbled a stream of words beneath his breath, activating the spell as his eyes of red watched Evalin and her coming actions.
The nuit was curious to note that the Familiar, despite wearing her body and holding many of her skills, still decided to use the element of air more often than not. Perhaps it was a simple matter of preference, or did the fire actually harm the Familiar despite his flesh form? Whatever the case, it was a question and a curiosity for later. For now, she had to prepare the next spell.
With her mark flaring within her Evalin moved with all the speed she could gather, sprinting toward Tsenrika with all of her supernatural speed as res trailed behind her, flames licking the leaves and limbs around as she summoned the fires of her passion and hate to give birth to this next act. as she moved though, she could feel it. The strain, the pressure on her mind, the dwindling power in each and every spell. This fight, this dual with her other half... It wore on her more quickly than fighting any other opponent. She knew it was because they both drew upon the same source, her djed. Tsenrika and Evalin were linked, and neither could really hurt the other because to do so would be to injure themselves. Still... Evalin would not hesitate.
A step away Evalin planted her foot, bringing her arms together to clap directly in front of Tsenrika, mere inches away. Around her, her res gathered in a large sheet, wrapping her like a cloak, trailing behind by just a tick but long enough to make this last spell successful. As Evalin clapped her hands together the res around her ignited, forming two fiery wings which collapsed around Tsenrika, encircling him in fire so that his body disappeared. She knew he was alright, she could still feel him. She could feel his draw upon her power, felt his intentions. Time seemed to slow... Then, all at once, the world burst apart in fire and hot air as she was thrown back, sliding in the underbrush and into a large tree.
Touching her head, Evalin slowly sat up, shaking off the fog of her mind and the weariness of her body to stand. Pushing aside brush and limb Evalin found their combat arena, a large pat with a diameter twice her height were broken limbs and birth green could be seen. The spell had lost its fuel half way, however, and perhaps it was for the best for the combination of wind and air often caused more damage than Evalin could reign in. For once, the lack of strength may have aided the nuit.
From the brush her mirror image emerged, cold and uncaring was his expression, never changing despite the situation. Evalin crossed her arms, looking around at the space before her eyes fell on the Familiar once more, "Let us end this for the time being. The forest needs not to be burned to cinders by careless casting, and my power grows weak."
Tsenrika bowed slowly, "As you command Master..."
