Redd's Plotnotes
Excerpt from Resurgence:
"She had lost an eye, an eye that had been half of her sight. It jogged a memory however, of a man teaching her to use her other senses. She could remember this lesson, for he had boldly snatched the scarf from around her neck and he had wrapped it over her eyes, cutting off her sight. She remembered it well, because it was a time that he had offered to give her an escape, to cut the collar and be free again.
Wakefulness came again and she stirred. Voices could be heard all around her, raised ones and ones that issued authority, barking out orders to other people. Her one eye rolled to attempt to view the room that she was in, but then darkness swept her under once again, being pulled back to her previous thought. She had been given an escape, but she chose to remain within Ravok, because she thought that it was the best thing for her to do. She thought that maybe, just maybe her previous master would notice that she was trying to be human, to be normal like he wanted her to be, but it seemed that it wasn’t meant to be.
It felt as if she had failed him, because she had failed to be normal like a human. She couldn’t be human and she knew this, because she didn’t know how to act like a human. The young wolf felt as if she was still that wolf pup from three years ago, being chased from society because she was who she was. She was something that most feared because of their natural instinct to hunt, to kill and survive even on the smallest morsel of food. She was, what they called… A beast."
