Spring 10
At the bright morning hour, Xen yawns in loudly in his dhani form, displaying his long fangs and ruby-red tongue. He was the first to arrive at the job, knowing that Kihlissorayls would be somewhat impressed by his dedication and diligence. He was comfortable with waking-up early in the morning; he did not like to miss the things that happened during the early day, night being the time he received his precious rest. The red rooms coloring and lighting made Xen’s scales standout, causing him to glow slightly with a kind of surreal grace.
Xen slithers over to the hot pools, dipping a finger into each of them to check their temperatures. He was certain that each was a soothing temperature, Kihlissorayls was a careful constrictor dhani, he knew that much for sure and she would not want dissatisfied customers spreading bad rumors about her business.
Xen clenched his hands, forming them into fists. He was excited, possessing an adrenalized vigor that fueled the burning fires within him. This was his first time on the job, his first time in a public place where some constrictors gathered. He has never spoken casually to a constrictor before, Kihlissorayls being the only one he had a full conversation with.
Xen looked forward to having many conversations with his customers or with those just looking to rest. He slithers across to the smallest hot spring and checks the stones boiling in the water. Xen saw that everything was fine—the water was crystal clear and the stones were free of moss. He goes and checks the massage beds; they were soft, smooth and felt pleasant to the touch. However, Xen checks everyone of them twice, making sure that the red room was flawless when the customers did start showing.
“Now, time to check the mossst important male in the joint, me.”
Xen slithers towards the calmest pool in the room and looks into its reflective surface. He checks his face and scales that he could bring into the pools view. Xen wanted to make sure his looks were just as appealing as the red room itself. He couldn’t be outshined by the red room; it would hurt his pride over and over again with each visit to the red room. Xen now felt satisfied and slithers into the center of the room, where he sat in a coiled position—arms folded with the two black ocelli patterns on his chest exposed.
“I'm looking flawlesss”
