x x Café Fleurs Located between the City Center and the Merchant's Ring, Café Fleurs hosts a wide range of customers- from government officials and merchants, to the common local, and harbours many a back-door deal. The exterior is partially hidden by a lush chaos of various flora, which overflows into nearby properties, as well as the canals that feed it. Throughout the establishment's pleasantly aesthetic plants, hide those that may be poisonous to the unwary visitor, which has led some locals to nickname it, "Rhysol's Garden". However, despite these perturbing flora, Darnel, the café's owner, grows a variety of edible plants which he and his niece, Azalea, use in their teas and dishes. Inside, one enters a room furnished with warm, dark woods and stones, which is kept at a pleasantly warm temperature all year round. Close to the entrance, one is bound to be wrapped in a light blanket of wondrous aromas, originating from a bar-like area. Here, Darnel brews his teas, while also managing the cash-register; one simply needs to pay on their way out. Across the room to the left, is a counter, which seems to be made of darkly varnished wood, behind which resides the kitchen. When not occupied with baking and cooking, Azalea can be more often than not chatting with customers, gleaning as much gossip and information as she can. Discrete curtains hang against the walls, and can be drawn to create closed off rooms for private conversations. Passing through into the back of the café, translucent doors open to a well-lit seating area underneath a canopy of intertwined vines, which create a sort of leafy ceiling. In the case of rain or snow, retractable wooden ceiling provides some shelter from the elements. The café sports exterior seating both in front and in the back, as well as seating inside the lowlight interior. At a loss of where to go from there, he soon chanced upon a property for sale, and soon fell in love with its unruly plants and warm interior. Deciding to open a shop, he had originally planned to sell herbal remedies, having had no staff, until he was landed with an orphaned niece, and opened a café instead. He knows the reason behind his brother and sister-in-law's disappearances, but withholds the secret from his niece, Azalea. Since her uncle hardly knew how to deal with a child, she decided she had to be a grown up, despite her young age, and took it upon herself to learn skills that would help them run a café. Little to her uncle's knowledge, it was only a short time after she moved in with him, that she discovered the reason behind her parents' disappearance- who had been 'taken care of' by the Ebonstryfe for joining a group that believed against Rhysol's goals. Azalea quickly came to terms with this, believing that her parents were fools to have shown their loyalties so openly, though her own thoughts towards Rhysol's conquest are but a mystery. For her exterior, Azalea displays a cheerful disposition, with friendly smiles and lively chatter, while a darker, more calculating personality lurks underneath. Often with a thoughtful expression, she enjoys listening to gossip, and gathering information from customers, saving it for later uses, and perhaps one or two mysterious buyer.
