One mans peace
may stem from another
mans suffering

“ Recently, in the years I've submerged myself in philosophy, poetry, and music.
No song haunts me more than "Regret Not" by All that remains. At first, I was puzzled and wondered what was behind the reason I went onto youtube and listened to it two to three times before playing the next song. Then I remembered. It was years ago, when I realized that those who I considered my friends were not who they appeared to be. I vividly recall blasting my room with melancholic or metal music to drown out my sorrow and pain. Back then the lyrics I memorized were deeper than ever, so I cried amongst those rifts and lingering memories.

I miss those young, teen years in spite of it all. I felt like a hot shot. There was nothing I couldn't do. I was too bad for girls and too straight for guys. The speed machine on a mission that had to go on; pedal to the floor. He who walked the edge (more like cringe). Now I'm just a little bit older, smarter, better and stronger. A lot cooler not so hot. And I'm a ladies man (No I'm not, please love me).

But that's enough for this rant brought on by an old song.
