Dalia.
Like glass shattering, the fog of Kol's thoughts cracked, exploding in tiny pieces leaving him struggling to clean up the mess. It was a harsh shove of reality being thrown in his face; his baby sister walking down the stairs, only ticks from seeing Kol disheveled, shirtless, and aroused. It would have been a cruel joke of fate, only amplified when Tazi accidentally knocked over the bowl. As it clattered to ground, Kol grimaced, pulling away from the female in haste. A fear of being discovered played at the back of his mind, and he held in a sigh of relief when Traya directed his sibling elsewhere. He would have to find a way to repay the elder later. For now, he just wanted to catch his breath and collect himself.
Tazi was the first one to break the silence, and he nodded at her words. Already his mind was figuring out what he would tell Dalia and/or how to avoid questioning all together. It wasn't that he was a liar, or even wanted to bend the truth, it was simply that his personal affairs were just that -- personal. He loved his sisters, but he would need her to focus on her upcoming trial, and on her medicine. If Dalia knew more than she needed to, no doubt she would tell Peia, and then their waking hours would be spent away from training, and more focused on their brother's romantic life. It was a sweet thought, but incredibly irritating.
Oh, he could just imagine how that would go. Every morning waking up to the two girls staring down at him with their sly smiles, Dalia's a bit more sheepish than the other. 'Where's Tazi?' they'd ask, Peia most likely to be dramatic and search around his room. Or perhaps she'd concoct subtle ways to get him injured, just enough to have him taken to the medicine house. 'Don't be so childish, we thought you liked the doctor'. Peia would wiggle her eyebrows, Dalia would giggle. And if the others found out... Kol would just rather keep it a secret until he had a chance to figure out where he stood, or until Tazi indicated otherwise. Kah'ri didn't need to stick her nose where it didn't belong, and the others would be too young to understand or care. The last thing he wanted was one of them was to upset Tazi. For now, he would just take everything in stride and wait to see what would happen next.
"We were gone too long."
Not that he was complaining. The Myrian male bent and swept up his shirt, sliding it back in place. He sidestepped away from her body to give her space to move, breaking out of their little haven. He turned to pick up the things they had knocked over, readjusting himself in the process. The mood was already beginning to fade, like a broken dream that left a bitter sweet taste of sexual tension in its wake. Kol was reluctant to leave, but he took a step towards the stairs, running a hand over his hair in the process. He looked over at Tazi to check her own state, and nearly had a rush to push her back in the small space and continue.
He adverted his eyes quickly and began his ascend up the stairway. The higher he went, the brighter things got, his eyes having to adjust to the lighting. It felt as though he was seeing things with more vibrancy, the memory of his session with Tazi a cloudy memory of lust and interrupted carnality.
They would need to head to the sushi house, or perhaps wait for the two elsewhere, in a less suspicious, easy to spot location. Kol waited for Tazi to lead the way, speaking perhaps the most he ever had to her. "Traya knew where we were. Why did she mislead Dalia?" It was a kind act, one most likely done more for Tazi than Kol, but Dalia's discovery would not affect the younger healer. Traya's diversion had been helpful, but Kol knew so little about the older female, he thought to ask.
Kol paused, waiting to hear Tazi's answer. Then, he continued, "Will you get in trouble?"
