AppearanceRace: Isur
Gender: Male
Age: 57
Birthday: 12th of Winter, 456
Birthplace: Sultros, in the citadel of the Terras clan.
Appearance: Forgos would not be out of the ordinary in any given crowd of Isur. He stands at four feet and nine inches tall, just a mite shy average. Forgos is stocky and well muscled, the result of a life of working a forge and hammering metal for days on end. His left arm is a deep purple, and silver veins cross most of his skin. He keeps his light red hair tied back in a ponytail and keeps himself well shaved save for a thin line of hair along the jaw. Moss green eyes and the bony ridge running right above them give Forgos a look of perpetually intense focus. His usual attire consists of a sturdy pair of leather boots, slightly patched linen breeches, and a simple linen shirt with the left sleeve cut off.
Character Concept"If Izurdin wanted us to keep our gifts locked in our mountains, I do not believe he would not have granted all peoples the knowledge of blacksmithing."Forgos is an oddity, a rare Isur outside Sultros. He seeks to learn from the other races of the world: while he takes great pride in his race, he knows other peoples must have something to offer, some knowledge that he might someday bring home to the betterment of his clan and people. In turn, he hopes to offer the gifts of Izurdin and Isurian talents. Besides, there must be some demand for Isurian craftsmanship, a chance for a young worker to make his mark in the world. Above all, he seeks to improve and expand his skills as a craftsman, be it in the smithy or anywhere else.
Like many Isur, Forgos is very reserved. He tends to keep conversations short and businesslike unless he's discussing crafting of some sort. He'll consistently reflect or ignore questions about his personal life and history, though he'll be a bit more open about his homeland or Isur in general- after all, he left his home both to teach and to learn.
When working or planning his next creation, Forgos takes on an almost trance-like focus. He pays no mind to anybody around him, neither speaking nor giving any sign of hearing anything said to him. He'll disappear for days into a forge, appearing only rarely for food and water. There's nothing he enjoys more than the feeling of pride after making a particularly fine piece, with the possible exception of seeing that piece put to good use.
Character HistoryForgos lived the typical childhood of an Isur, albeit one of the few men born into his own clan. His father, once a Coglias, had married into the clan. His mother, a talented armorsmith, trained him in her own trade. From the moment he was strong enough to hold a hammer, Forgos developed a passion for smithing. He would spend long days in his parents' forge, practicing on scrap metal and any other bits of iron his mother would give him. His father had often been tasked with guarding the trading posts further down the mountain, and would tell him tales of the outsiders who came in search of Isur-made goods. Maybe he spent too much time wondering what they might have in their own halls, their own homelands, or maybe the fumes of the forge had gone to his head. Perhaps it was a small streak of wanderlust, or it could have been a bit of all three. Either way, at fifty six years of age he packed up his few possessions and some raw materials, setting off with no particular destination in mind. Eventually he found his way to Syliras, and it seemed as good a center of commerce as any to set up shop.

PossessionsHeirloom: When Forgos left home, he took with him the first shield he ever aided his mother in crafting. He had been just a child, given simple tasks such as fetching tools or helping to keep the forge at the proper heat, but he remembers the process vividly. His mother gave him the shield as an example of proper craftsmanship, and the day he can match it is the day he considers his journey complete.
