A question on monsters...

Postby Raeila on May 30th, 2014, 4:33 pm

Hello all!

So I'm considering including a long term interaction with a Journeyman in my character's past and present. I know that it is quite the commitment, but it could be something that would be a tool for character development that is exactly what I'm looking for. However, I have a few questions about the creature itself;

Would it be reasonable for a Journeyman to stalk one person for over a year and over long distances?

Is it possible for a Journeyman to surrender its hunt for any reason?

Thanks a bunch!

From my knowledge, the Journeyman would likely have killed you by then. It think it leaves the body, so its not much of a hunt, more of a murder spree.

Hope this helps.

A question on monsters...

Journeymen are obsessed with learning, so if it would have pursued your PC for that long amount of time it would have found an extremely interesting thing regarding your PC. They are extremely methodical in their hunts, they try to learn everything about their prey to the tiniest detail. Then once they have learned all they did, they learn what is inside of them via dissection. The odds of a Journeyman taking that long to stalk you would most certainly attempt to learn what your insides look like. They do not give up their primary hunts as far as I know, though they might be driven back briefly.

As far as I know, unless you can kill the Journeyman you'll probably be stalked to the end of the earth and killed as soon as it can kill you.
