Whitevine Healing Center

When someone gets hurt in Avanthal they are taken to The Whitevine Healing Center. The Healing Center started out at first in the Whitevine Hold. Members would treat patients from small offices in the lower level of the Hold. Soon the need for healing space was too high and Iceglaze was commissioned to build the Healing Center. The Healing Center is one of the largest buildings in Avanthal standing at four stories. The Healing Center is very comfortable and visitors and patients alike say it is as nice as a Hold. It is often nicknamed the eighth Hold of Avanthal for how comfortable it is. The main level is mostly for visitors and there is a small place to eat if people get hungry. It is one of the few places in the city where two Holds work together so closely. Those two Holds are Whitevine and Winterflame. While the healers of Whitevine take care of medical issues the cooks of Winterflame keep everyone fed.

The Healing Center is also guarded by a small group of Icewatch members. There is a lot of power be it healing or ice reaving that is contained in this building and it is the Icewatch's job to keep it safe. There has never been a problem yet but the Icewatch is kept around just in case by order of Seiled Whitevine, the healer in charge of the Healing Center.

(NPC) Seiled Whitevine :

Name: Seiled Whitevine
Race: Vantha
DoB: 473 AV
PoB: Avanthal
Title: Head Doctor and Healer of the Whitevine Healing Center
Skills: Herbalism 60, Embalming 30, Dentistry 35, Leadership 50, Medicine 80, Organization 55, Philtering 65
Gnosis: 1 Mark of Morwen, 1 Mark of Rak'keli

Seiled is a temperamental fellow. Some would say he dislikes younger doctors, but others claim he is simply awaiting their mistakes. Seiled himself would say he wants the younger doctors to take their job as seriously as he does. With patients, Seiled is one the polite, kindest people in the Whitevine Healing Center.

For bells upon bells, Seiled can talk and not a single word of it would be unimportant. Seiled has a dryer sense of humor, but easily adapts to others' humor. Though it is difficult to earn the respect of Seiled, once an individual does they find themselves trusted by Seiled. Like any Vantha, Seiled enjoys telling stories. But the person must first have Seiled respect to learn more about the man's personal side.

Seiled is unmarried and people claim it is because no one has earned enough of his trust and withstood his high expectations of individuals. Others say Seiled fell in love with a patient who died and vowed to never love again.

Seiled is a skinny fellow. No one would dare say he does not have muscles, however, if they had seen him lift patients with ease. He stands at five foot nine and weighs around a hundred and forty pounds. Loose hair falls to his shoulders in natural curls and is highlighted by dark amber coloring. Seiled has a light beard and mustache, more because he forgets to shave than because he enjoys the facial hair. Worry lines crease his forehead and he can be seen wearing a serious expression almost constantly. There are rumors no one has seen Seiled truly smile, not even the patients.

16 Day of Winter 511 AV

Taithrosa had inquired about the local healing center when he had first arrived in the northern city, and was the custom he had gained the Gnosis and joined the opal order. He would visit with local healers and see what knowledge of medicine practices and herbs he could learn.

His silver eyes looked up at the large building, and thought this place was promising given the effort that had been expended upon it. So viewed healing with suspison as the realm of witches and such, but here it appeared they took it seariously.

He stood only a moment before he contiuned onward into the building to see if he could find any healers inside who would be able to talk to him. His body moved with a grace that surprised most people who saw him. Given his size they thought he could move dexterously. Taithrosa was an interesting case. Large and physical there was a great mind behind that face. It was deceptive. As an Ethaefel his abilities were far beyond that of other mortal races. He just wished he could remember more of the knowledge he had learn in his past life about healing.

Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”

OOCI'm sure your post is in 511 AV but can you please put a year on it? Thank you!
The tall man was noticed quite quickly, although there was little surprise in this. Vantha were by far a more short race overall. The Whitevines were welcoming people though. One got to be that way when Rak'keli granted her gift. If one needed help, they would receive it. Did this man need help though? That was the question that sat in Seiled's mind as he approached him.

"Hello sir. Welcome to the Whitevine Healing center. Are you in need of any assistance?" Perhaps the man was looking for medicine for a trip or even some assistance with treatment. He did not seem to be in an urgent situation due to the fact Seiled had needed to approach him first. The offer was open, despite the matter though.

Taithrosa looked at the man before him. He appeared to be an older human of the Vantha race. He was also short and then add to that Taithrosa's own seven foot height and the height differences was extreme. He turned his handsome face with its silver eyes towards the doctor.

"Greetings" He said his voice strangle accented. It was the language of trade and comerse, but it had a littling like the speaker had learned an more arcaic version of the language. "I am from Mura and my ship stopped her in Avanthal for a few days. I wanted to visit this healing center to see what I could learn while I was here."
