A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Summer 5th 514 A V
Dolce stood alert in her bird form, her eyes scanned the banks and shallows. Despite whatever was hiding in the water's depths snakes were plentiful this summer like always. A good deal of of these snakes were venomous and a danger to people who were unaware or not paying attention.
Dolce however, was made to hunt snakes in this form even highly venomous ones. While most would never know that the Kelvic did this, she believed it helped some. Plus she could take the snakes home for dinner. It was a good deal for the kelvic. She got to sharpen her hunting skills, got to earn some food, and she got some fresh air.
She trotted down the bank and took notice of a pattern in the sand. There was a snake here somewhere. Cautiously she made her way closer to the snake trail, had she been a human at this moment she would of heard her heart in her ears. Suddenly something moved and Dolce struck. Taking her strong taloned foot she stomped on her prey's head. She did this a few more times just to make sure her catch was dead. Looking over her kill she determined the snake was dead, it's skull crushed by her continual blows to its head.
Happy with the kill, Dolce picked up the snake in her beak moving it to where she would make a pile and she was off to find another snake. |

Sure enough she came to an area that seemed to be teaming with snakes, and not the good kind. Water Moccasins. Although lucky for Dolce they were lazing about on land, some even seemed to be asleep in the sun. Now she just needed a good strategy for killing them all.
Some of the sleeping ones were more on the outskirts of where the rest seemed to be. They would go first. She snuck up on them quietly lest she wake them. Eyeing her first target she bobbed her head as many birds do from time to time making sure this would go well. When she had convinced herself it would, she struck with her foot and the sleeping snake was no more. Of course she stomped it a few more times just to be safe before moving on.
Dolce had made good time on the sleeping serpents hauling them off to her growing pile. But the easy part was over all of the other snakes she had seen had been awake and moving. While she could of just ignored the active snakes, Dolce decided they too needed to be killed. Although this would be much harder than killing the sleeping snakes. |

With great caution, Dolce moved toward the actively awake snake. At a certain point she deemed she was close enough and opened her wings and flayed out her feathers. Not only was this a tactic to make her look bigger than she really was, it was a decoy to the snakes.
If the snake struck at her wings it would be getting a mouthful of feathers and Dolce would feel nothing. She made her way to the snake attempting to get a good vantage spot to go in for the kill. The snake struck, Dolce jumped back and the snake missed. It struck again and Dolce responded by trying to stomp on it. She hit it's body and stunned it, giving her a chance for a good strike and she did just that. With a well aimed kick the snake's head stopped moving. Dolce gave it a few more good blows. Although it was dead it's body still wiggled, but that happened with snakes. She waited until the snake's nerves stopped transmitting. Once it went limp Dolce picked the snake up in her beak preparing to move it to the other snakes and pack up for the day.
But she stopped. This snake had been a pain in the butt and Dolce decided that this snake was hers. Setting it down she picked it up again swallowing it. She ruffled her feathers, that would keep her full for some time. |
