Ricky's face held one of curious puzzlement at first when he watched Lissa try to be the same, comprehensive to the situation with the display of courtesy that should never be forgotten. There was a slight chuckle from him at best as he struggled with the whole awkwardness of the situation as a whole, his prevail only met with the loss of what to truly say before another moment might occur. There was just that something... something that made it difficult for Ricky to act natural about this, something he couldn't shake as he tried to figure out something that made sense.
The situation was pretty clear, they were siblings after all. And while it wasn't a bad thing, it still was just a thing he still was in the process of accepting. Then the question of the bell finally popped up, and he couldn't honestly even figure out the right words to share in that regard. What do they do now? What exactly do siblings do? He never had an actual sibling to know, just a friend here or there once that allowed him to imagine. Yet those imaginations were never followed through, because at the same time he'd thought of anybody like that, something had happened to carry the them away from him. Fate was odd like that. Come to think of it... his father didn't sound too mad about the idea of that curse, rather he sounded perceptive about it in the letter because he knew his time was coming soon. He didn't know how he was going to die, but he knew that the time was finally upon him in the short time he had to spend with his son. Did he want to share it with Ricky alone? Didn't he want to spend what he could with his other child or children?
Did he want to bring his children together? To have a family worth raising under one name? Was he out of time? Was he aware of it? There was just too much to wonder about that Ricky didn't know, too much he wished he could ask his own father now all this stirred. But he couldn't, because Burten was dead. When Ricky realized he'd been caught in a trance of deep complex thinking, he had a bit of an "oh" moment and furrowed his brows as he tried to think up a solution to Lissa's first question. "Oi guess... we can spend de day t'gether. Git t' know one anot'er more while Oi visit Syliras, Oi'm definitely curious t' learn more 'bout yew." Ricky offered in terms of a supportive idea, hopeful that it was something that seemed appropriate. He was definitely bad at this whole "I'm your older brother" thing that was just thrust upon him.
