Ricky's face held one of curious puzzlement at first when he watched Lissa try to be the same, comprehensive to the situation with the display of courtesy that should never be forgotten. There was a slight chuckle from him at best as he struggled with the whole awkwardness of the situation as a whole, his prevail only met with the loss of what to truly say before another moment might occur. There was just that something... something that made it difficult for Ricky to act natural about this, something he couldn't shake as he tried to figure out something that made sense.

The situation was pretty clear, they were siblings after all. And while it wasn't a bad thing, it still was just a thing he still was in the process of accepting. Then the question of the bell finally popped up, and he couldn't honestly even figure out the right words to share in that regard. What do they do now? What exactly do siblings do? He never had an actual sibling to know, just a friend here or there once that allowed him to imagine. Yet those imaginations were never followed through, because at the same time he'd thought of anybody like that, something had happened to carry the them away from him. Fate was odd like that. Come to think of it... his father didn't sound too mad about the idea of that curse, rather he sounded perceptive about it in the letter because he knew his time was coming soon. He didn't know how he was going to die, but he knew that the time was finally upon him in the short time he had to spend with his son. Did he want to share it with Ricky alone? Didn't he want to spend what he could with his other child or children?

Did he want to bring his children together? To have a family worth raising under one name? Was he out of time? Was he aware of it? There was just too much to wonder about that Ricky didn't know, too much he wished he could ask his own father now all this stirred. But he couldn't, because Burten was dead. When Ricky realized he'd been caught in a trance of deep complex thinking, he had a bit of an "oh" moment and furrowed his brows as he tried to think up a solution to Lissa's first question. "Oi guess... we can spend de day t'gether. Git t' know one anot'er more while Oi visit Syliras, Oi'm definitely curious t' learn more 'bout yew." Ricky offered in terms of a supportive idea, hopeful that it was something that seemed appropriate. He was definitely bad at this whole "I'm your older brother" thing that was just thrust upon him.

Lissa Maze

The idea of siblings at all was...distracting. Very distracting. Lissa had gotten used to being not just an only child but an only-person, if such a thing existed--the only child or adult she had to worry about. Sure, there had been others when she lived at the Welcome Home, but they weren't really hers to worry about or not. They were just others there--and she was sort of one of them, she supposed, who someone else worried about. Family hadn't happened for...for a full half of her life.

A full half of her life. The thought of that was surprisingly painful to have--fully half? And to think that for most all of it there'd been a father out there, a perfectly living father, who could've...who could've been a father. For her, not just for this brand-new brother sitting in front of her. Lissa tried to ignore the slight resentment welling up inside of her, that Burten Maze had chosen not to come see his daughter.

It wasn't Ricky's fault, she reminded herself. Just glancing at his face again told her how much of a surprise this--she--was to him. Maybe he didn't like hearing that his father had been with a woman other than his mother, having children--not just her, from the letter. He looked as uncomfortable as she felt.

She reached the end of her thoughts rather before Ricky (she wasn't used to calling him anything, let alone her brother, yet) and sat, quietly, waiting. Her brother. She wasn't sure she could see it, but he was after all older than her and a man, and their mothers weren't the same person. Still, there was some resemblance. She knew her mother had been an odd mix, mostly Vantha, a bit of Inarta, maybe something else in there--but they had half in common, a father. They had to look a little alike, somewhere.

She had yet to be sure how they looked alike when Ricky returned to the world of conversation. His response made her smile--it was a good plan. "Okay," she agreed, and the smile grew a bit. The idea of a real live brother was growing on her. Maybe an older brother was a nice thing too. "Let's do that. Wait. Tell me about you, too! You have a son, you said! I'm an aunt!" She laughed at the idea, pleased. "Is he here with you? Could I meet him? Do you have a wife?" So many questions bubbled up, the types of things you were supposed to know about your siblings that she wanted to know. Just the basics, for now. Later things like growing up and everyday life could fill in the gaps. "Oh! Do you know our other siblings? The letter said there were others, I'm the younger daughter so there's gotta be an older one....did you grow up with her?" she asked hopefully. So many questions, and all at once. There was a lot of day left, though. Not nearly enough time, but more at least.

oocLoved your post all the way till the end! In fact reading the questions Lissa had to ask gave me an idea with moving this thread along in an interesting manner. ;)

He had to admit he thought she might've thought it rather strange or unorthodox to just go about getting to know someone you just met, and the fact that they were siblings had to at least have made it all the more weirder for her to handle at her age. Yet when she agreed to the idea and thought it a good way to learn more about one another, Ricky's heart felt a strange but welcome sense of joy for a moment as part of him, the brotherly part, felt that deep sense of acceptance for who he was. Did he actually want to be her older brother? He didn't know at first, but after meeting her for the first time, and getting to know a little bit about her in turn... he wanted to. He had no idea how older brothers were suppose to act at all, yet even so he felt ever so inclined to try and set the best example he could, just so he could try and see if this girl may for once feel happy in her life.

When she in turn mentioned that she wanted to know more about him too he couldn't help but laugh a little, her curiosity made him feel even more lighthearted when she had asked about his wife and child. Her energy and spirit made him feel all the more at ease, as he felt himself more relaxed about interacting with her altogether. He needn't worry about being her older brother to begin with, because even the fact that they were born with the same blood didn't have to get in the way with him treating her any different from others. As far as he knew he could treat her however he so wanted to, just as he could with everyone else come to think about it. Yet deep down he felt something he was missing finally fill just a little, and that was the idea an actual family. Not a family he created but a family he was born with. Lissa being his sister couldn't be such a bad thing at all, in fact he could consider it something worth appreciating seeing as how he wasn't the only born Maze left in the world after all.

"Okay okay! One question at a time!" Ricky laughed cheerfully as he gave her a humble smile. "Oi do 'ave a son yea, but Oi 'ad t' leave 'im wit' a close friend back 'ome. Martin's not even a year old yet, thus he's t' young t' be brought out in de dangers o' de wilds so soon." He explained with hope she wouldn't be disappointed, Goddess only knows he would've loved seeing her meet the child for the first time. "Me wife did come along t'ough," He pointed out with a finger brought up to underneath his left ear, with the Cheva Mark that rested there proof that he was in fact married, "Oi... was de only child he raised or so Oi believe. Oi lived in Zeltiva all me life not knowin' Oi 'ad a sis, or more sisters fer dat matter. Gods only know 'ow many siblings yew an' Oi 'ave." He mused with a chuckle, his expression a little less lively than before, now that he thought more about what his father hid from him when he returned to Zeltiva last year.

"Say," An idea popped in his head which made him smile once more, "Me wife actually came wit' me, she an' anot'er friend o' mine. Yew can meet dem both roi now if yew like, t'ey 're likely just relaxin' in our rooms at de Traveler's Row." He pointed out after the offer, hopeful that she might actually want to meet her would be sister in law. Ricky knew the whole sibling thing would surely come as a shock to Telion for sure, but nevertheless she would be excited to meet Lissa all the same, of that Ricky felt absolutely sure of.

Lissa Maze

OOCThanks! I quite like how Ricky's handling it...and I think this will be a really interesting way to go. Just confirming--was Hannah the one who gave Lissa her letter?
Lissa grinned, forcefullys topping the tide of questions trying to push out. "Okay," she agreed, shifting. a twinge from her knees reminded her that they didn't like their current position and she acquiesced, drawing them up with a slight wince.

It didn't matter, though, because she realized that he'd laughed. Just a little, but it was something. Lissa realized that in the back of her mind, she'd been more worried than she'd realized. A big brother was after all probably a nice discovery than a little sister. Maybe he thought she'd try to be dependent or...something. Big brothers usually seemed to think that little sisters were annoying and rather more of a burden than anything, at least in her experience. Admittedly, in her experience, the siblings had known each other their whole lives and been rather closer in age, but still. She didn't want to be that kind of little sister, and she didn't want to scare off the new brother quite yet. Usually, people took at least a whole conversation to be scared off by Lissa.

She couldn't help but to be disappointed by the lack of present nephew. The Welcome Home didn't have many children quite that young, but sometimes they did. That little was cute, not old enough to be the nuisance that some (not all, but some) smaller children were. She did find herself secretly missing some of them, though, now that she lived by herself. Still, she had to admit that he was right about travel, and nodded.

His expression fell a bit at the idea of other siblings, and hers mirrored it without realizing. So he didn't like the idea--but was it about fathers or brothers and sisters? She knew that she wanted a sibling. Unbidden, childhood came to the front of Lissa's mind. The imaginary ghost brother, who'd been with her ever since...ever since her mum told her about the twin, the one who hadn't lasted. She'd wished with all her might for a long time after that to have a sibling, somehow--a twin, an older one, a younger one...the wish had been a secret one, never discussed. Not even with her mother. Now, in front of her, there was...a rother. He wasn't like the one she'd imagined--older, Zeltivan, and most of all, a stranger. The imagined sibling had always known her since a baby. And yet, a brother was quite a thing to find. It just didn't happen every day. You had to make the most of this kind of thing.

It took Lissa's brain a moment to catch up with her ears. Meeting his wife--wait, her sister-in-law? No,, that was too weird a term. Ricky's wife, though, and a friend.

"I'd love to!" came the eager reply, as lissa made to stand up. "I'm living there myself for now, until somewhere permanent opens up." It didn't occur to her that a surprise relative might not always be welcome or normal. It just sounded like...like the right way to get ot know a family she'd never seen. Maybe make it all normal, or at least within a city of normal.

oocHannah was indeed! That's why moving this along to where Lissa meets Telion and Hannah, again, would be most interesting to see happen. ;)

When he watched and waited for Lissa to give her answer on his offer, he literally felt his stomach roll nervously. Not because he didn't want her to come nor was he afraid of everyone meeting one another, but more along the lines of her not wanting to or thinking it best if they didn't. He was of course being plain silly then, and realized it too right after she quickly seemed to announce her answer with a bit of enthusiasm to back it up. When it came to learning that she too happened to live there for now, it made all the more sense for Ricky to bring her along and introduce her to his wife then. Why? Because he no longer had any doubts that things would turn sour, he felt absolutely sure that everything between his family and Lissa would go well. In fact his gut told him it would all be wonderful, once the surprise seemed to settle at least. Seeing as how she was quickly up and about, ready to get on with the meeting in her own energetic way, Ricky too rose to his feet and kept the lute he bought close by.

"Good t' hear lassie, yew an' me wife'll get along great Oi just know it." He assured her with a confident smile as he felt the excitement start to settle in, at first it was he who started to lead them back until he felt pretty sure that they were about to get lost. He wasn't at all very acquainted with the streets of Syliras still, so Lissa was the one to take over from there as she guided them onward. It would be a little bit but they would finally find themselves in sight of the Traveler's Row, and then from there Ricky would be able to pick up where he left off to point out where it was he and his travel party was staying at.

Location: The Traveler's Row, Ricky's room.

They were in front of the door now as Ricky gave Lissa look and smile, the pleasant walk they shared on the way here still on his mind, she was definitely someone he could think of as a sibling. After their talking and odd mannerisms that somehow started to occur between brother and sister, which though foreign somehow grew quickly on Ricky before they even arrived at the Row. Now that they were here it seemed that the moment of the day finally came, and what better way to make the day better than introduce your wife to the sister you just met. Alas when he reached to open the door the knob already turned as someone from the other side was about to leave, thus the fisherman took a step back as to not surprise whoever was on the other side.

Hannah. Of course she inevitably jumped at seeing his size at first, her eyes shot up in a roll as she cursed a couple times before she finally spoke loud enough to Ricky. "Dammit Ricky you scared the shyke out of me. What's that you got with you?"

"Ehh... a lute? Nevermind Oi've got someone Oi want yew t' meet." He brought a hand over to direct the redhead's attention to Lissa. "Dis is Lissa, Lissa dis be me friend-"

"Hi, I'm Hannah. Don't listen to him, he can never same my name right." She teased nervously after she recognized who Lissa was, oddly enough she started to bite her lip as though she were shy all of a sudden. "Can't stay and chat though, I've gotta go and... do something important. Excuse me." She was quick to wiggle her way between the two, hopeful that she might make a quick escape before Lissa might actually recognize her. Ricky of course just looked completely dumbfounded with a furrow brow, as he watched her walk on as though she were in a hurry.

"Huh. Weird. She ain't usually like dat." He muttered as he started to feel bad for Lissa, seeing as how she might've only got a few if little words in before the ginger stormed off the way she did. "Sorry 'bout 'er lack o' manners, Oi'll be sure t' git on 'er bout dat later." He gave her a sincere look then, hopeful that her feelings weren't hurt by the sudden evasive brush off. "Telion's better at de whole 'meetin ot'ers' t'ing anyhow, yew'll like 'er Oi promise." He encouraged as he offered for her to go in first, he would wait for her to enter first before going in himself to shut the door. However should she have had second thoughts he would try and convince her things would be be better, that there wasn't anything to be worried about. On the other hand if she had a secondary topic to bring up, Hannah's sudden need to leave for instance, he was alright with talking about that before they went inside as well.

Lissa Maze

Lissa nodded, smiling. She hoped she would get along with his wife, now that he mentioned it…she got along with most people (or at least, she thought she did). It would be just like the world if one of the few she didn’t work with was her brand-new brother’s wife.

Contemplating these such deep matters, Lissa strolled through Syliras, heading towards Traveler’s Row.
At Traveler’s Row
Lissa was surprised to find her heart beating faster than normal. She wasn’t related to the people behind the door technically but brother’s wife was really a relative, and someone else…well, the other person she wasn’t sure about, but she must be important to the family to come along on a trip to Syliras.

It finally occurred to Lissa to wonder about the trip. It had seemed so natural that anyone would be in Syliras, to the native Syliran, that it had taken rather a lot of time to wonder why a Zeltivan fisherman was visiting her city. Lissa had no more time to wonder, though, because the door opened—apparently to Ricky’s surprise.

The woman there acted as surprised as Lissa felt. She saw the face, the hair…and took a step back, shocked. She knew that woman—didn’t know, but knew…to Lissa, she was the Mysterious Woman. It wasn’t a creative name, but it was the one that had stuck in her mind. She remembered the woman.

They’d only met once, and it hadn’t been much of a meeting. They’d never been introduced. Clearly the other woman knew Lissa, knew who she was. It had been only two seasons ago, winter of 513 AV, when they saw one another in Syliras. The woman had given Lissa a letter and left—left as if she hadn’t just shaken a base of someone’s life. The letter from her father, delivered by a stranger.

Except, she wasn’t a stranger, suddenly. The woman was right in front of her, amiably cursing at Ricky…and then talking to Lissa. The girl knew that she should reply, be friendly, stop staring with her mouth dangling just short of closed, but it was taking all of her energy to keep herself standing there, thinking. By the time she had her wits about her once again, the woman—Hannah—was on her way out.

”Wait! You—“ she paused, glancing wildly at Ricky and then back at Hannah’s departing back. ”How well do you know her?” she demanded, turning back to the man. ”She tells you things? You trust her, hm?” Anger and hurt had burned any thought of manners from her mind. ”No need to introduce me to her, Ricky. She knows all about me, I bet. Hannah? That’s her name?” She didn’t wait for a reply confirming or correcting. ”Remember that letter I showed you, from our da? Know who’d gone and given it to me? She did. I thought she was a messenger of some sort, but turns out she could’ve told me all about a family.” Breathing hard, Lissa leaning against the wall, sitting slowly. Her head was spinning. As if a family wasn’t already rather a lot… ”Is family always like this?” She didn’t look up as she asked her question, staring at her knees. Her mum hadn’t been like this. She was inconsistent and and not particularly good as far as mothers go, but she usually made sense—drunk, or just a bit less interested in a daughter than a shopping trip, or whatever else she was. This didn’t make any sense. ”Maybe I shouldn’t meet your wife right yet. If she doesn’t already know all this, that is.” The last sentence was said with unusual acidity for the girl, who didn’t react well to this kind of confusion. If Ricky had tried to reply or interject before she was finished, she wouldn’t have paid attention.

If there was ever a single moment in Ricky's life where he would've been seen as completely dumbfounded to the point of stupidity... it was this particular moment right here. His sister's reaction to the brush encounter with Hannah led his mind to fall into a loophole so deep the void itself was put to shame, all because of what he had just heard his alleged sister say as she fell into a fit of her own. "Well Oi- Oi mean yea- w-where-" Each time he tried his best to answer her question another piled on, her furious state only vexed him further as he came to learn that the two had somehow met before. Sure Ricky could've connected that since Hannah came to Syliras, but when Lissa mentioned that it was Hannah who delivered that letter.

Hannah... needed a break from Zeltiva this past winter, and went to Syliras to get just that. Lissa. She received letter recently or so she established, and said Hannah was the one who carried and delivered it. Secretly? What in the petch just happened? Something about this made Ricky grasp at straws when he tried to figure it out, but given the reaction Lissa displayed just now he hadn't the time to really focus on putting the pieces of the puzzle together just yet. "N-no no Lissa! Listen t' me fer a tick would ya?!" Ricky pleaded as he hoped to try and calm her down, but it didn't seem to work as she looked to ignore him or refused to listen by covering her ears. That was when he knelt down in front of her, his eyes intense with longing and sincerity as he tried to get through to her. "Please listen Lissa, Oi 'ad no idea yew met 'annah, not a single clue dat she played part in yew gettin' dat letter."

"Ricky?! What's going on?!" It was Telion. Just as Ricky was trying to make something better, his wife heard the whole commotion and decided to investigate in turn. When she came to the door to look and see Ricky had knelt in front of some younger girl, surprise quickly filled her expression as she glanced between the two. Now for Lissa this could've very well been a strange situation to be caught in, the wife of her brother who was wearing but a white cotton shirt and blue cotton shorts present to see that both her husband and a little girl were practically sitting on the floor next to their bedroom door. How amazing this day turned out to be. It just kept getting better and better apparently, Ricky practically gave up on all expectations as he wasn't sure if things could go better or worse. Hopefully better though, that was the more preferable option. "Who's-"

"Telion! Dis is Lissa, she's uh... she's me sister!" There was the nervous awkward chuckle there, as Ricky watched Telion's face fall into a state of disbelief. She had to have wondered if he were kidding, pulling her chain with a fib as well as a prank. But she caught on with it and fast, given he seemed pretty serious about it. Hence her expression changed to one of amazement as she looked at Ricky thoroughly, and in turn at Lissa to see what possible similarities existed. They hardly looked anything alike of course, but given that Lissa's words and Ricky's persistent need to calm her down, there wasn't a lot of time to have a quieter discussion about it just yet.

"Oh?! Oh my Goddess!" She knelt down next to Ricky, her eyes filled with interest as she tried her best to smile. Hopefully she might've encouraged Lissa to come back out of her shell, in turn leading them to thoroughly discuss the situation with Hannah later when she returns. "Lissa? I'm Telion, Ricky's wife. Can you hear me?" Telion softly prodded the girl to see if she could help bring Lissa back into reality, since it seemed as though the girl was determined to space out into her own little world for the moment. If there was one thing Ricky and Telion could easily pick out that was similar between him and Lissa, it was how stubborn the girl seemed to be given the circumstances. A trait the two definitely shared. "I'm pleased to meet you dear, do you want to come inside so we can sit down and have lunch together?"

Though Ricky really hadn't any idea what to say or do to help out in the situation, he definitely followed along with the idea Telion had in mind. Sitting down and eating lunch together would definitely make everything better, and given he had few words at the moment he found his mind more or less wrapped around the fact that Hannah was centered in all of this. According to Lissa it was Hannah who delivered the letter, and if that was the case then Hannah... she'd have to had carried it with her here. The letter did mention Burten knowing that he might be dead soon, and Hannah did leave the following season after his death... No! Not possible! Could she have intentionally carried that note with her the whole time and in turn lie about it to leave for Syliras? The thought alone buttered Ricky up a bit, but he couldn't let that happen to him just yet. First was helping Lissa find a better sense of peace between him and his wife, and then from there a real serious discussion with Hannah was in order later on.

Lissa Maze

Looking back later, Lissa was a little embarrassed by her outburst. It had been a bit of tantrum, really, and in the following days she would wish she had not let herself get so emotional. In the moment, though, Lissa felt like the world was spinning. For over a season, there'd been a new character in the story in her head. A mysterious woman with red hair, delivering a letter. There had been more than one version in Lissa's mind. In one, she was a courier, a messenger of some sort--someone who traveled, bearing secret news, as her whole life. Lissa had rather thought she would like that life.

In the other version, the one that made her less comfortable, the woman was a friend of...a friend of her father's. She was delivering the letters as a friend--maybe on a trip to Syliras, maybe a resident who'd received them from her friend and been asked to distribute. She wondered if the mysterious woman had met all her siblings--the one in the letter, the one who was now standing in front of her (talking, it seemed, but in her daze Lissa didn't seem to notice); the others, for there was at least one other, an older half-sister, for Lissa was the younger daughter, the letter had said...in this version, the woman knew everything secret about Lissa's life.

She hadn't liked the second version much. Mysterious strangers were more fun when they were distant. Now, the stranger had a name, and...and it was the second version, at least in part. She'd come with Ricky from Zeltiva, so she'd known Burten. Confused, the girl began to wonder. Perhaps it would have been better if she'd never met this brother, if she could have just been left imagining about the letter. But that wasn't what happened--so she would have to deal with it.

Lissa had been dimly aware of a new figure emerging from the room, but staring into space, she didn't really see, too busy thinking in a haze of panic and daze of confusion. She didn't come back to reality and the present until she felt a touch, and looked up.

She blinked, seeing the new figure, crouched down beside her with a smile on her face. It looked a little strained, but anything was...nice. That was a word for this new woman. She looked...nice. Friendly, pretty, and warm. Something in Lissa responded and she tried to smile back, with what may have been somewhat limited success, as confusion still threatened to overwhelm her.

The nice woman (Telion, she'd said--the name had drifted through, with a little effort to retrieve it) was saying something now.

"I'm pleased to meet you dear, do you want to come inside so we can sit down and have lunch together?"

That settled it. Lissa liked Telion, liked her right off the bat. "That would be n-nice," she said, nodding shyly. The woman must be confused as she was, at least. Sisters of husbands didn't usually just grow out of nowhere all the sudden. She started to stand up, and cautiously offered and hand to Telion, to do the same. Perhaps this day could might not end up all bad.

To all my threading partners: So many apologies for my major slowness, I'm being absolutely crushed by a college/health combo right now. I will be back as soon as possible and will try to keep up with any group threads. For one-on-one threads, I'll try to get back and catch up soon, but am not sure when exactly that will be.

Unexpected Ties

It was times like now Ricky couldn't help but love his wife all the more for her loving and nurturing spirit, given the fact she automatically had a way of helping Lissa find a way to settle down once more. Maybe it had something to do with her gentle nature, or that caring smile she could so easily give, either way watching her when she helped calm Lissa down made Ricky's heart flutter all the more as he suddenly found a soft smile formed on his face all on its own. "There there," It was only for a moment but Telion used the back of her fingers to wipe away the tears on Lissa cheeks, "we can talk about this whole family deal inside. You must be really confused about all this, at your age its understandable to fall into a temper such as this."

Telion definitely looked to be a bit motherly in Ricky's eyes, probably because it'd been such a long while since they'd seen their own son of course. Either way to be able to watch as the two were so quickly able to get along, to see the doubtful fear that Lissa had practically melt away after seeing how wonderful Telion was, it never felt so uplifting for Ricky to be reminded that this beautiful woman was in fact his wife. The both of them started to rise to their feet and Ricky did so along with them, a hearty grin directed to Telion when she glanced at him with a quick smile of her own. "You like tea Lissa? We're having it with some bread and cheese from the market, it'll serve as a belly filler until supper I'm sure." As she asked this Telion went ahead and brought an arm around Lissa's shoulders, a gentle nudge to guide the girl inside as she shepherded her into the room. When the three were all finally inside and Lissa was brought to the small table they used for eating, Telion was the first to go about setting up their plates while Ricky took a seat next to Lissa.

Silence. Though it was only for a brief couple of chimes as Telion was more or less focused on setting up the bread and cheese, all while she silently encouraged Ricky to reach out to Lissa and see if he could help make her feel better. "Oi uh... didn't know 'annah carried dat letter Lissa, Oi promise ye t'ough Oi'll find out why. She's gotta 'ave a good reason fer doin' so wit'out lettin us know 'fter all."

"She does. She's always been so secretive when it comes to things like this, a nasty habit she can't seem to break it seems." Telion joined along with a light chuckle to add into the rhetoric, hopefully Lissa might've found it as humorous as intended. "Aside from that let's focus on the actual important matter." Her emphasis on the word actual was done so with a smile as she rested their plates on the table, there was bread and cheese slices for all three of them to enjoy, as Telion finished pouring their tea and took a seat at the table with them. "You two are siblings. Which means you have family outside of Zeltiva Ricky, and you Lissa have family outside of Syliras. So the way I see it is that Burten definitely had a few more regrets than he let on, and probably wanted to think of a way to bring you two together."

"Lissa," Telion looked curiously at the girl, "what is your life in Syliras like? Are you happy where you are? Do you need any help or anything?" Telion didn't intend to flood the poor dear with questions but she had already proven to be concerned, not as a mother absent from her child but as a would be sister-in-law that genuinely cared. Ricky looked a bit surprised at first but when the thought behind these questions finally crossed his mind, he looked to Lissa curiously with hopes that all seemed well for her here in Syliras. He remembered her story. Orphaned and recently released to try and make a living for herself, something Ricky was almost familiar with given that he too had to struggle by himself for a while. He was determined to make sure that they could help Lissa, be it financial or moral support if she needed it.
