The voice drew Erik's attention from his hat to the woman behind the desk. Even TJ poked his head out from under the hat, curious as to who the new person was. "Single please." He grinned, digging in his coin pouch and withdrawing a handful of gold mizas. "I'm not sure how long I'll be staying, but I can pay for the first thirty days in advance. Even if it's not required, I'll likely forget to keep up with the payments I don't." He counted out thirty coins, extending the hand toward Geninsi.

Erik:

"Very well," Geninsi said as she took the money from Erik, and placed it in a small pouch she had tucked away behind the folds of her clothing. "Give me a moment and I shall return with the key to your room," Geninsi said, as she disappeared back out the door she had ever so recently entered. From where Erik stood, he could hear the woman moving things around, obviously looking for the key. It was several minutes before she returned, holding a simple silver key in her hand. Attached to the key was a slender white string, which had a small piece of paper on the end. On one side of the paper was the number "18," written in black ink. "Here you are," Geninsi said, "the key to Cabin 18."

Geninsi handed the key over to Erik with a small smile. "Hopefully it is to your liking," Geninsi said as she pointed down the hall and to the right. "Cabin 18 is down in that direction. The number is printed on the door, so you should have no problem finding it," she said, as the name Geninsi sounded through the Warrens. "Now if you'll excuse me, it seems as though someone else is in need of my attention," the woman went on, as she disappeared through the door she had once gone through to retrieve the key.

Erik waited patiently for the woman to retrieve the key, content to warm up as much as possible before making the quick trip out to whichever cabin he was assigned. He briefly mused over the possibility of the cabin being haunted by some evil spirit bent on revenge and the staff finding his body in some grotesque shape a few days later. He quickly put the thoughts out of his head. "I think of the weirdest things..." he muttered under his breath, curious as to what triggered the thought in the first place. A short while later the sounds of rummaging stopped and the woman reappeared with the key to cabin. "Number 18, Got it." He confirmed, turning the key over in his hand before slipping it into his pocket. He nodded and thanked Geninsi as she took her leave, then headed off down the hall towards his cabin, ready to unpack, unwind, and possibly catch a few winks.

Sharth-
Jennai blushed at the Jamoura's words. "It is all of the Vantha but thank you very much." Kind words like Sharth's would go a long way in Avanthal. Gennisi smiled at the Jamoura and pointed toward the direction of Iceglaze. "I am sure they would be more than happy to have you help. They are always looking for strong workers and if you have the drive to learn I cannot see a reason why they would not want to take you under their wing." Jennai spoke up again with an excited smile "I hope you enjoy it here! It is really nice that you wanted to visit us. We always love to see our Soutern Taldera friends. If you ever need anything don't be afraid to ask."

Summer 10th, 511 AV |Late Night

Mortemor stumbled in through the front doors of the Warrens office building, a gust of wind chased in after her; causing a chill to run up the young woman’s spine as she wrestled to get the door closed.

“whooo--! My, the weather is unpredictable here.” Mortemor sighed, relieved to have finally gotten into a warm room. She brushed the snow from her red locks and approached the front desk. “Excuse me? Is anyone in? I need to rent a room; I’ll be staying in Avanthal for about a week.” She announced, as she began to dig through her robes for her Miza purse.

Mortemor-

Gennisi appeared from behind a closed door, and approached the counter. "Well hello there miss," she said, in a quiet voice. "You need a room? For a week you say? Hmmm..." the woman muttered as she stroked her chin, trying to think of where to put the poor girl, depending on what sort of room she wanted. "Did you say whether or not you were looking for a single?" Gennisi asked, "since we have both those and doubles. The rate is one gm a day per single, and 3 gm a day for doubles. Which would you like?"

Day 13 of Summer, 511 Av

The young man walked behind the man who was showing him to the accommodations of guests in Avanthal. He hoped he wouldn’t be here long, and he would soon be accepted into his mother’s hold of Whitevine. He smiled, nodded his head, and put in the man’s hand a few silver Miza’s for helping him find his way safely. He then walked into the main office of the Warrens and waited to be waited on.

He was lucky that he was fluent in Vani so he could speak the language. He had procured from the man who had helped him to this location that the establishment’s name was The Savintar Warrens, he should check in and pay at the Office area of the Warrens, and that it was run by Old Geninsi, but now her granddaughter Jennai was often there doing the business. He looked around wondering where he would get his meal. Well he would just figure out one thing at a time, as he saw a shadow making its way toward him in the distance. As of yet unrecognizable at the distance they were at.

Rykker:

Jennai was certain that she heard the front door open. She finished her final sweep, pooling everything into a neat pile of dirt, before leaning her broom up against the wall, and heading towards the front of the Warrens. She reached the entry-way within a matter of moments, and found herself to be looking upon the face of a dark-skinned man. "Well hello there," Jennai greeted Rykker with a smile. "And welcome to the Warrens. How may we be of assistance today? Is it a room you need, sir? Or are you looking for a place to eat, at which point, I'd suggest the Winterflame Hold or the Red Diamond Tavern." There was a slight pause, "but if it's a room you need, then we can help you here. There are singles for one gm a night, and doubles for three a night. Do you have a preference?" she asked.

"Hello," he greeted back when he finally saw that it was a young woman that was the shadow he had seen. "Yes, I would like a room for one." He answered her question, smiling briefly. "A meal would be nice to, I do hope the food is good. Do you recommend one or the other?" A nice hot meal would be nice right about now he was thinking to himself. Dried jerky and bread had been what he had bought, and on the road he had tried to stay away from eating establishments to try to make his money that he had stretch. "Do you know how to go about requesting an audience with someone in the Whitevine hold? I would like to try to get in there. My mother is a Whitevine, and I am her son...." He wondered what type of reaction he would get from her. He knew he didn't look anything like any Vantha with his dark skin and dark gray-ish fur covering his body.

Rykker:

"Alright, that will be 1 gm a day for as long as you stay here," Jennai said with a smile, before walking behind the counter and pulling a key out from beneath it. The key was small, and silver, with only a few teeth. A small white card had been tied to it, on a white string, it read, "room 15." Jennai plopped the key down on the counter, "the room is just down the hall to our right, a few doors in," she explained, before considering his questions. "The tavern is more likely to get you a meal, but the Winteflames are the best cooks around," there was another slight pause. "And you'd want to talk to Sefarrah about getting yourself an audience, she is the leader of the Hold," Jennai explained. "Now, if that is all you have to ask, then I'll be on my way, I have a lot of sweeping to do. But please do, enjoy your stay! And I hope you find something good to eat," she finished as she shuffled off down the hall.
