Droth Appearance Race: Jamoura Gender: Male Age: 153 years Birthday: Day 56, Summer, 360 AV Birthplace: The Spires Appearance: Droth is a Jamoura. He greatly resembles a gorilla because of this. He is not as large as most fully grown male Jamoura, he stands a bit over 7 feet, 7 inches. He is just as bulky, though, weighing in around 580 lbs. Dorth's stature overall is a bit more rotund than the average Jamoura. His fur is a dark black, save for a rust-colored patch on the top of his head that extends to form a sideburn-like appearance. His face is soft and friendly, sporting the same black color as his fur and chest. His eyes are the same milky black as most other Jamoura. Character Concept Like most Jamoura, Droth seeks knowledge above all else. However, as he grew up hearing about the past and training to one day achieve Reminiscience, he became bored of seeking out greater understandings of what had already past. Droth decided he wanted to seek out the secrets of the future, see if it is possible to achieve some sort of Reverse Reminiscience. He knew this was not the destiny his parents wanted for him, so he hid these thoughts from them, not wanting to hurt them. Despite this, his sometimes rebellious nature revealed his secret yearnings to those who knew him well. They could see how his eyes glassed over when they talked about the past. Droth knew The Spires or the Hahk'maghtar would not help him achieve his great goal, so he left the path that most Jamoura faced behind and decided to explore the outer world, to see if he could find some secret of Reverse Reminiscience elsewhere. Character History Droth was born to a fairly average Jamoura family, where he was raised by his three mothers and father on tales of the past and memories of their lives. He dutifully fulfilled what is expected of a young Jamoura, absorbing their lessons and learning all that he could, despite his yearning for so much more. He spent much time out in the forest, thinking of all the possibilities that Reverse Reminiscience might be able to bring his people and the world. When he reached the ripe age of 150, he decided it was time that he leave The Spires in search of knowledge elsewhere. His family knew that nothing could keep him there, and trusted that he could find greater knowledge outside, so they did not stop him. Droth wandered through the wilderness, using the gifts given him by Caiyha to survive, until he arrived at the city of Syliras. It was in Syliras that he took an interest in Astrology as a possible gateway to discovering Reverse Reminiscience. One evening, wandering the city streets, he took special notice of the stars and the patterns they formed. Recalling what he had heard from his family, Droth realized that the heavens were not something regularly discussed amongst his people. Logically, then, they could hold secrets he had not yet discovered. The stars and celestial bodies being such a mysterious thing, they undoubtedly could hold some key to Reverse Reminiscience. He has since devoted much of his time to studying the art of astonomy.
