Character Concept Braeth is an obsessive man. Obsessed with pleasing his father, obsessed with surpassing his brother's talents, obsessed with finding his mother. Braeth is the younger of two sons, the baby of the family, and his brother never let him forget that. It didn't help that Garaeth (brother) was an outstanding huntsman and even held some sliver of favor in Morwen's eyes. Even their father, unintentionally, showed favoritism for the elder brother and his skills, often allowing loads of praise for his firstborn, yet forgetting to acknowledge Braeth. Character History Braeth was born to an average couple of the Frostfawn hold. Braeth was a secondborn son, and his father was a skilled hunter. Being a solid eight years younger than his brother, Braeth was obviously disadvantaged when it came to acquired skills. His brother had nearly a decade of learning on him, but that didn't matter because throughout his entire life, Braeth was lesser, second place, overlooked. Make no mistake, his parents loved him with all their hearts, but it was painfully visible to see that his father favored Braeth's brother's talents. At the young age of nine, Braeth's mother disappeared when on a trip to the south. The party she traveled with, her included, were never seen nor heard from after they left Avanthal. Time slowly passed as Braeth's father grew restless, then tainted with insanity. Eventually, unable to accept the tardiness of his wife's return, he went off to find the group, hoping to hear word from someone that they were merely delayed. Years passed, and eventually everyone gave up hope that mother would ever return. Everyone, except Braeth and his brother that is. Since then, Braeth's brother had grown in skill and popularity, but he wasn't without his problems as well. He too was furious about his mother's disappearance, and a mere three days after Braeth's twenty-second birthday, he left home in search of news of his mother. Hope of her being alive might be slim, roughly twenty years later, but he still needed an answer. An answer, Braeth also would need one someday.
