And they say everything that happens at the Blade Plaza after dark is illegal. Hah!

This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

Blade Plaza

It was a habit of Adi's to take walks at night. They were refreshing to her-fewer people out and about, crickets chirping, no sun shining in her eyes. Night was her favorite time of day.

So it was no surprise that the Skyglow woman was out and about that particular night, her trusty white cloak around her shoulders. She took a deep breath as she crossed over the southernmost bridge between the west bank and Blade Island, enjoying the cool air night brought with it. Silver and green eyes scanned around Kenash, on the lookout for anything of intrigue.

It was then that she spotted it.

North of her, she knew, was Blade Plaza, which was a marketplace during the daytime. Adi had never stuck around at night to watch the vendors of the day pack their things up, and as a result this was the first time she'd ever seen the plaza at night. It was also the first time she'd thought about what she expected to happen at night in Blade Plaza.

Whatever it was she'd been expecting certainly wasn't that.

The plaza itself was shrouded in darkness. Figures in cloaks and dark clothing stood around at odd intervals, no one group too close to the next. The market stalls had vastly different selections of goods available than were available for purchase at night.

This was the seediest-looking place Adi Skyglow had ever seen.

Naturally, she was interested.

Pulling her hood up over her head to cover her hair and face from anyone who cared to look her way, she assumed a slow but constant pace. Her goal? Investigate this shadowy market. Perhaps she'd find something interesting.

[Midnight Market] Ghost Rider [Shalita]

Although she had spent most of her day, drifting through the streets of Kenash during the day, she also continued to do that through out the night, otherwise she would be stuck talking to the other ghosts at the Blacksuger Distillery, not that they talked much. One threw temper tantrums while the other one levitated bottles or possessed the human that lived there all alone. Shalita, while she couldn't complain that these ghost were dead as much as her and that she wasn't alone in her bid to stay upon this plane of existence, still mourned for her human life. So, she spent a lot of her time moving about the streets of Kenash, why? she didn't really know, but mostly to try and enjoy the afterlife that she was given, seeing as her mortal one was taken from her so abruptly.

Upon this night, however, she had taken up a spot to float about a canal that bisected the Blade Plaza and the midnight market was in full swing as people walked along the cobblestone street, occasionally stopping to view an array of goods that a store supplied. Shalita's appearance was her human appearance, although most people avoided crossing the bridge that was close to her. She wore a simple blue sundress and her black hair floated down her back, while it certainly didn't just hang like normal human's hair did, at least it wasn't sticking straight up, or floating around her head all crazy like. Some of the human women that wore their hair up in pins and some crazy hair styles, could easily be far more scary then her own hair.

The ghost hadn't only just come here to linger and watch the activities of the night time people all dressed in their cloaks. She had also come looking for a blade of her own, mostly a dagger. A conversation with a boy had made her realize that sometimes, when she really wanted to just throw something at someone, there weren't anything real handy close by that you could just throw at someone. Besides, she figured that she had the time to gain some kind of dagger skill. Practice throwing it at targets and such and who knows? Maybe one day, she would become an assassin instead. Sneaking into people's houses so then she could kill them for money, money that was pretty useless unless she bought other things like more soulmist, which was useful... To a ghost that used soulmist quite a bit. Kenash was full of slaves, perhaps, if she got a job as an assassin, she could buy herself a slave and then she would always have company. Although, she would probably have to buy a house as well, for she didn't think the human man at the distillery would approve of a slave just walking around his business.
