Acinonyx Appearance Race: Kelvic Gender: Male Age: 3 years old Birthday: 29, Spring, 511 AV Birthplace: Syliras Appearance: In human form, Acinonyx is a relatively small person, only 5' 7". While he is only 3 years old, he has the appearance of a young adult. He is of slim build - a necessity if he is to match his cheetah form. This gives him a body that is shaped through intense sprinting, and looks fitter than most humans, though is weaker in raw strength than say a 6 ft bouncer. He is, however, a little stronger than to be expected from his physique; this comes from the predator side of his character, so he can successfully hunt down prey when needed. His skin his slightly tanned (just a shade darker than fair) and his mid length hair is light brown and falls straight down, so that the fringe brushes his eyebrows. His hazel eyes harbour the subtle difference between Kelvic and Human - the region just outside the tear duct is marked black, as if there was permanent eye-liner. This black mark flicks outward just a few millimetres. His teeth are unnaturally straight and slightly sharper than usual too, not noticeable at all unless pointed out and compared with someone else's set, although why you would do that I have no idea. He also has dark freckles spotted randomly on his face then less frequently around his body. When in his Kelvic form, he takes on the form of a cheetah. His original mark of the tear duct can now be seen as two full lines originating from the corner of the eyes and passes alongside the nose and ends up at the corner of the mouth. Though he is small as a human, he is perfectly average in cheetah form compared to other cheetahs, with all the physical conceptions of one, such as his wide chest and narrow waist, his semi retractable claws and of course the black spots that grant him partial camouflage in the fields. Character Concept His mother was a hamster and his father smelled of elderberries! No, not really, but his mother, Taira, was too a Kelvic who could transform into a hamster and his father, Leosarr, was a Kelvic too, who could transform into a lion. Acinonyx gets all of his dominant, predatory traits from his father and the loving, loyal side from his mother. Leosarr always wrote poetry and even a novella. Aci never really followed his father's interest in that sense, he couldn't understand how a hunter could like poetry. But music on the other hand, well that is just Aci's cup of tea! He was never taught to follow a religion, however, he is aware of it, particularly when it comes to worshipping Tyveth. Acinonyx is a straight forward, no messing, kind of cheetah. He is always prepared to go to lengths to protect his idea, his territory or his friends, as a natural male cheetah would of his mates. He tries to appear confidant and alpha, however, his size limits this characteristic and the large, looming tower of authority that he has as a cheetah is not carried over in human form, purely because of his little ol' body. When this is the case in social interactions, he has learned (the hard way) to keep his mouth shut and show humility, so he's not a jerk to everyone else just because he thinks he should be leader of the pack. He is a great appreciator of patterns, such as those in music and those in nature - to Acinonyx, there are one and the same, and also a great appreciator of the female human form. He admires the shape of it, maybe a little too much, making him susceptible to manipulation by seduction. Since he loves music, he will always find time to enjoy it, and so will make an effort to attend many events where music is featured. Acinonyx is also a perfectionist at heart. He is a bit anal about things, like patterns, and it gives him great satisfaction to find them or to create original (the more complicated the pattern, the more satisfaction gained). Obviously, this feature is not radicalised in any way; he doesn't shout out in pure excitement whenever he sees a house that is perfectly built with all those damn bricks that are just perfectly in line. What this characteristic does do however is affect his mood when he has a hunt for example and achieves a success rate of less than 50%. He will also strive to improve himself in any way that he can, not unlike the Akalak, if he feels like it is important to him. This has enabled him to be a talented hunter and now, he is starting to learn how to play an instrument. Which one? He has no idea, but he needs to play one! Being a natural predator, he enjoys meals consisting of meat. Being a natural human, he also likes alcohol. Offer him the two together and Aci will definitely prance at your door. His idea of a good time involves these things, women, music and a good atmosphere in general. He is very sociable but does not let anyone too close, unless he feels drawn to them as a bondmate. Even though he is sociable, he is sociably awkward, and struggles to learn the proper behaviour of human society. This is another concept he strives to learn about and put into practise. When he is not doing anything he wants to do, he becomes very lazy. Very. You will not budge him. Just forget it. Character History Aci was prevented from forming bonds with other people until he was a few days from turning 3, this is when his parents were abruptly taken from him. His father had always had a feud with a clan of wild beasts from the Bronze Woods. One day, the three of them were all out in the woods, Leosarr was teaching Aci how to hunt properly, which was always fascinating to him, while his mother was there to watch over. She smiled as Aci killed his first rabbit, back in the day. Anyway, Aci was in full chase, reaching his top speed and was quickly away from his parents watch. This was not uncommon in his hunts, after all, he is the fastest out of all of them, but this time, when he returned his parents were missing, save a small smudge of blood. Aci tracked them and found his parents massacred in a small gathering of these beasts. Later, Aci learned these 'beasts' were really just big wolves, but he grew up looking at them as monsters because of his father's rivalry with them. Long story short, Aci jumped in at an attempt at a one cheetah ambush, killed one, leaped away, and resumed hunting. Although a kill of a hunt is always satisfying, this time it was much different. He felt this overpowering need to murder every single one of these wolves for such an act to his parents. After only ten minutes of careful and deliberate stalking, he returned to Syliras, and mourned the loss of his parents privately. To do so in the woods would be considered weakness to other animals. Other than that tragedy, his entire life was completely normal. He now aims to fulfil his need to find a bondmate and further improve himself as a Kelvic.
