[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Jubilee looked at the man in front of her. He was happy too, but she wasn't. Looking back at the mug of Ale on the counter, she guessed it depended on the amount you consumed. Jubilee looked back up at the man, thinking back on what he had said.

"Uh, yeah. But I don't think I will be having another one of these drinks again." Jubilee laughed nervously. "You like this stuff?" She asked, wondering how anyone could enjoy the taste of this. Retaking the mug of Ale in her hands, she gestured towards it. "You can have this… if you want. I'm not going to drink it." Jubilee offered with a weak smile.
If I want anything from this cruel world we live in, It is to see the beauty in even the ugliest things. And until that day comes. I will not die. I refuse to die. And you can count on that.

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Postby Rose Heckleburg on July 28th, 2014, 4:46 pm

(So I got everything all sorted out)
Rose smiled lightly at the man. She took a seat in the chair he offered and answered his question, "what brings me here? Hmm. Probably the life involved. It's so much. More lively than Mura ever was or had been. So many new things and people. There's just so much to learn. "

Pushing her ale to the side of the table she smiled. "So what bring you all here. "She asked politely two the men. She pushed her ale a little farther away still deciding if she should drink some or not. ' I will try some later' she decided in her head. She studied each of the men carefully, but without bing rude. Having the hard upbringing of a Konti childhood she had learned all about manners and how to politely act while at home and in public. She always hated the manners that she was forced to learn but now they all stuck like glue on her brain.

Seeing the girl choke in her ale she narrowed her eyes slightly. The girl had to be around the age of 13. Maybe 14? At least she looked the part. Wasn't she a little too young to dink ale?

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

ResponseThis was my response to Rose's original post, just to keep that going. I had removed it and saved it from my previous post.
My response to Rose's Original post :
Before Aerion could say another word, a young woman walked over to their table. He looked around the small tavern, and saw that it was indeed full, the only chair being the one she asked for. Aerion struggled with the strangers around him, his mistrust for other people forcing its way almost to the surface and he just wanted to run from the Tavern before anything happened. Teren reached out to him and calmed him, saying these three were no real threat to either of them, A drunk, a calm man who seemed wise, and a quiet young lady who had a mug in her hand, not drinking. Aerion calmed down and forced a smile on his face under his hood saying and motioning to the other two men, and then to the chair, "I do not have any objections, and as long as they have none, go ahead and sit down."

Aerion smiled as the young man stumbled over to a young woman by the counter, thinking what it would be like to be young again. Teren's amusement rippled over their bond, and he told Aerion that he was still young. Aerion felt his own amusement ripple back to the horse as he agreed, but still felt old compared to the drunk.

His gaze shifted back toward the woman who had sat down at the table, feeling as if he should recognize something about her. Then as she said Mura, he realized that she must be a Konti. Having already met a Konti, he smiled and inclined his head to the young lady. Still fighting off his mistrust of the people around him. He decided to say, "I came here to better understand the workings of Taverns, as well as those inside them, and find the reasons people drink ale."
"The kind find it hard to write rude words, the opposite is also true, the rude find it hard to write kind words. Once you understand which you are, make the decision of who you WANT to be."

"We all know that the good guys win, but it's how they win, that makes the story."

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Sudden commotion forced him to look around. His drunken friend had stood up and was heading towards young girl. At last something worth attention. It took some time until man reached young women. His steps were still wavering.
‘It’s no big surprise. It’s his first time after all’ he thought. Feonr’s first time was unforgettable too. Or rather, he didn’t remember anything from that time. The next morning he found himself in stone laid room with bars. Ahhh…the good old days.
He was deep in thoughts when his companion started to pester young girl.
He then smiled at the words, blond girl addressed to them and then said:
‘Good companionship and mug are what you need after difficult day’ he said in oracular voice. ‘But to be honest I and, I guess everyone too, simply enjoy spending time with people. That’s why after sunset many people are coming to the inn. To talk, to laugh and of course to enjoy good food and drink. I would say that some people choose to be alone. But it is really hard to bear the solitude. ‘‘And so people gather together, and drink ale to forget about loneliness. ‘He needed and smiled to the girl.
Indeed, this inn was a good place to stay. There weren’t any seats left, and the people were laughing, talking, shouting and even quarrelling.
‘It is hard to remember about solitude in the place like that’

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Postby Naiomi on July 29th, 2014, 2:41 pm

Naiomi

Barefoot as she always was in warmer weather, Naiomi stumbled into the Rearing Stallion. She hadn’t been drinking. Rather, she was like a puppy who hadn’t grown into its feet yet, even though she was full-grown. Stopping for a moment as her feet came into contact with a sticky spot on the floor, she reveled in the sensation, one of her favorites she had encountered in her short life, and remembered the Rearing Stallion seemed to acquire more and more of these spots as the day went on. She loved the feeling, the way the floor seemed to try to hold on to her skin as her heel peeled away from it and the light tickle this caused along the arch of her foot.

She looked around and realized that every table was occupied, but this tavern was like a second home to her. Even if she couldn’t find one of her friends, Naiomi was sure she could make a few. She spotted a small group around a table that seemed like they wouldn’t mind company. Several of them didn’t have drinks, and if she had learned anything from her time in taverns, there was no better way to make a friend than by buying someone a drink. It was also the best way to stop a fight from starting.

Tossing a few copper mizas on to the bar, she sampled the ale and decided it was to her liking. It wasn’t a pale ale, and she was thankful for that much. Naiomi bought four and took them over toward the table. As she approached, Naiomi thought that there might not be enough chairs for her to have a seat and decided to snag one from the full table close to her destination.

She gave her prettiest smile to the men there, most of whom were focused on other parts of her than her face. “Excuse me, gentlemen. I was hoping to sit with my friends-” she nodded to the table with three around it “-but I think I’ll need a chair. One of you wouldn’t mind standing, would you?”

Immediately or as close to that as a drunk man could manage, one of them stood and pushed his chair toward her, either convinced he was going to get lucky or just because he decided to be a gentlemen. Naiomi flashed him her smile again and spun one of the legs of the chair so that it faced the table where her soon-to-be friends were sitting.

“It’s hard to remember about solitude in the place like that,” one of them said.

Pushing the chair up between two of them with her foot, she stepped up behind it and offered them all a friendly smile. “It’s easy to remember solitude if you’re a person without a place to sit. May I join you?”

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Turning her gaze to the man she smiled slightly, "yes that's a great reason to come to a tarven. " she curiously looked around her eyes lighting up with the life around her. She smiled a small yet joyful smile looking at all the people. " I usually. NEver go to tarvens. I don't know why" she says looking at the men.

Rose turned her attention to the other one. She listened to the others mans reason to being here. "Yes. That was really deep. I totally agree a lot of people need socialization. And solitude is really hard to bear. " she agreed her voice stated in a friendly matter. Deciding to finally take a small sip of her ale she took a tiny sip. It was delightful. Warm flavors stormed up her mouth and she closed her eyes inhaling the scent of it. As soon as it came it was gone. Sighing she was afraid of what could happen if she had to much. Pushing it away she looked at her hand.

She heard for steps and looked behind her. She saw a girl. Rose politely smiled, " sure I don't mind. Where'd you find a chair?" She asked curious to where the girl found her chair. The girl couldn't have been much older than Rose maybe a year or two? Shrugging she smiled and motioned next to her.

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Postby Naiomi on July 29th, 2014, 4:41 pm

Naiomi smiled again, glad for the young woman’s acceptance. It was good that Naiomi was concentrating on not dropping the four beers she had precariously balanced in her hands; otherwise, she may have dropped them upon seeing that the young woman who had greeted her was a Konti. The Kelvic had always found the Konti’s ethereal beauty to be quite captivating and, whenever she ran into one on the streets, would follow them around for hours on end.

Setting down the drinks, she slid one toward each of her new friends and kept one for herself before answering the question. She motioned with a flick of her head. “I bought it for a smile from the gentlemen behind us.”

She was about to make a toast to her new friends when she finally looked at the man who had been speaking of solitude. What she saw made her complete dumbfounded in awe. The man had a twisted horn growing from the top of his head. It was one of the most majestic things Naiomi had ever seen and, having never heard of the Ethaefal before, was curious as to how someone could manage to grow something like that.

Naiomi had little, if any, concept of personal space. Reaching toward his head, she blurted out, “That’s amazing. May I touch it?”

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Postby Aerion on July 29th, 2014, 5:06 pm

Aerion stayed quiet as this new young woman walked over, her body movements seeming awkward and it seemed as if she would topple over at any given moment as she carried four mugs and pushed a chair along. She talked with the other young lady sitting at the table and then sat down. He responded to the young Konti by saying, "Yes, it can get quite interesting, as tonight has already shown us." Aerion then decided to watch as these three conversed, content to sit there beneath his hood and listen to others speak as he conversed with Teren over their bond.

As the seemingly unstable woman reached up to touch the mans horn, Aerion couldn't help but put a hand over his face. Removing the hand a few seconds later, he decided once again not to drink, so he pushed the ale in front of him across the table, into the middle as he frowned at it.

Aerion looked up over at the two at the bar, smiling to himself, feeling Teren's amusement as well.

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Postby Rose Heckleburg on July 29th, 2014, 9:20 pm

Rose nodded to the lady, smiling a little. She than looked over to the man and nodded her head as in agreement. Deciding she was full she sat up straighter and pushed her ales father away. Deciding to see what would happen she looked around noticing a small fight of two drunk men. Shaking her head she looked the other way. 'Men.' She thought to herself. Looking at the young 15 year old girl she smiled remembering her youth. She missed not having to worry about things. But reality had caught up to her. Looking at the girl who had just sat down she realized she must be a kelvic. Rose smiled. She always loved kelvics how cool it would be to turn into an animal.

"What's it like? Turning into an animal?" Rose asked curiously. She wondered what animal she changed into? So much to learn. She stared at the man and forgot she hadn't introduced herself to anyone. Did she want to? Could she overall trust these people. Deciding to see how it played out she stayed silent. If they gave her a reason to trust them, she'd give them a reason to trust her. Plus she just met these people. Looking at them all she tried to identify what they were. She looked at the one in a hood. He seemed rather quite. Yet...so was she. Shrugging it off she decided to see if she could use her Konti power. She only found out she could tell ones favorite animal by touching them a couple of months ago.

[Rearing Stallion] To drink, or not to drink.

Postby Feonr on July 29th, 2014, 10:14 pm

Secret :
To Naiomi : I'm assuming that it is evening or even night. That's why my character looks like normal human now. And so for now, he doesn't have horns :)

More and more people were coming to their table. It seemed like this certain place was tempting in some way. Of course it wasn’t bad at all.

It was quite an interesting bunch. The man in front of Feonr was still siting with his face hidden beneath the hood. Only sometimes you could catch a glimpse of his eyes. The other man had already left the table and was happily flirting with the young girl. Feonr laughed at his thoughts. ‘What a straightforward guy. Or maybe he is just heavily drunk ?’ he tossed this thoughts aside and looked at the blonde girl. Altouhg she seemed quite cherfull , something was definetelly bothering her. ‘Well ..It is true about nearly everyone. Also it isn’t good to stick your nose into someone troubles’.
Suddenly he felt someone intense gaze.

One of the girls was carefully examining his hair. ‘Isn’t something wrong with my hairstyle? ‘He thought and recalled his morning attempt to comb his hair. ‘Well I guess it couldn’t be helped’

He then thought of something else. They were sitting together for a while now but they didn’t know each other name. It was high time to change it. Feonr cleared his throat and spoke
“Since we are sitting together at one table it is good to better know each other. So …” he paused for a moment “My name is Feonr. Let us have a good time together” he concluded.
