Jamoura / Spires Question

Hi folks,

I'm just starting out on the site and I fancied playing a Jamoura. I see from their background that the Jamourans are mostly based at the Spire and that according to the City List there is no current Storyteller for The Spire.

It's my understanding that as this is the case I shouldn't base a character there. I still wish to write a Jamouran, this being the case can the character still have been born and raised in the Spire but have left some time ago to advance his skills and talents?

I was considering Zeltiva, heading to a seat of learning to compare notes and techniques. I would welcome any other suggestions and I am really looking forward to writing here.

What type of skills are you considering? Magic you want Sahova. Criminal skills means Sunberth. Trade you may want Kenash? And for rather Scholarish skills you want Zeltiva.

Herbalist and potioncrafter was what I considered.

I don't know if there are Potions in Mizahar, But there are many places that might be good for that skill. Alvadas is right by the Unforgiving, the wilderness of Kalea. Taloba is surrounded by jungle. Endrykas is literally never in the same place twice. There are a lot of places. Try Alvadas.

After considering the concept I had and having now read the majority of the wonderfully extensive background materials on the site I think perhaps I should think again on my concept.

I shall try something a little more adventurous rather than studious, which will fit the site a little better and maybe inspire me a little more until I find my feet.

"Philtering" would be the equivalent of what you're calling "potion crafting".

Thanks Brodon Windriver. As above I think that I have now read most of the wiki articles available and I agree philtering is certainly along the lines of what I had initially meant.

I did see a lot of healers though when I was looking through some Characters.
