Tanell Race: Konti Age: 37 years Birthday: Spring, Day 11, 478 AV Birthplace: Mura, Konti Isle
Appearance Blue-green eyes peer out of a pixie like face, framed by long blonde locks that all but cry Konti. Furthering the look, Tanell stands at just over five feet two inches tall and weighs in at ninety-seven pounds. Her posture is impeccable, the gentle shape of her back formed by muscle memory, lending her a regal air in all but the worst sickness or the lowest of moods. Further markings of her heritage are plainly visible in the delicate lavender hued webbing between her fingers and toes. The color is mimicked in the opalescent scales that mark the top of her feet and climb tenderly up her calves. The same scales grace the back of her hands, line the shapes of her cheek and collar bones, fall down her back, and dance across her torso. Her hair is gold touched blonde, not the lovely white of some Konti, but she quite likes the kiss of Syna's color in her locks. She allows her hair to grow long and wild, wet it falls nearly to her hips, but dry it holds a natural wave, nearly a curl that brings the length higher, just above her waist. She combs her hair often, preventing tangles and knots as best she can. Despite her careful attention, her long hair is the most wild part of her appearance, the rest of her, down to her shoes is carefully groomed into a proper appearance. She has yet to fall into the fashion of the city, keeping to her clothing of Konti make and pastel colors. Character Concept We never outgrow our parents, regardless of time or distance, and it holds true for Tanell. Her mother pushed for propriety in all aspects of life. From the gentle ways of the Konti, to the habits and pursuits of a lady, her mother has shaped the way Tanell attends to most of her life. From keeping good posture and tending to her appearance no matter the time of day, to her treatment of others and her daily tasks. All of it was shaped by her mother, and Tanell grows to appreciate these things ever more the longer she is away from home. Always welcoming guests with a smile and an offer of tea, she is more than happy to host even unexpected guests. Curiosity shaped her childhood, leading her to pursue many interests away from her family. Now that she is away, she strives to be closer to them. The steps she takes towards family lend her to religion as well, and she holds her gods close to her heart, saying morning and evening prayers, as well as greeting any god she comes across with another prayer. This doesn't halt the slow changes that come over the Konti as she ages and grows familiar with the world. Lust is a constant sounding in her mind, whether her own or another's, and she always appreciative of a compliment, although she attempts to keep from coming across vain in her daily conversations. It is common knowledge that Konti are beautiful, and that causes even the godly woman occasional bouts of vanity. As her time in Lhavit grows, so too does her vanity, and the glistening diamond of Kalea has had other effects on the woman, frivolity, freedom, and friends shaping her new existence. History Tanell grew up with two elder sisters, a darling niece, and a loving mother. In Spring of 509 AV, Tanell was Called. Lhavit her destination. She gathered supplies and set out with the first ship that would take her. She arrived in Sunberth on Spring 40, 509 AV. Quickly finding travel to Zeltiva, she couldn't pass the opportunity. She left arriving on the 20th day of Summer. In Zeltiva she joined a small band of travelers and journeyed with them to Lhavit arriving there in 514 AV after seeing many cities along the way. Her final destination left her with little money, and less than trustworthy sailors as her only hope of keeping in contact with her sister. Her arrival in the city, however, sent her forward in her plans, she was Called to join the people in their lifestyle. Her seemingly random assortment of childhood interests became relevant to her new task. She was to become a fortuneteller in the city, but beyond that, The Call nudged her to begin a study of herbs and plants, medicine and religion, crafts and tools. She would put these things to use in a shop centered on wonderful eccentricities from medicine and potions, to charms and trinkets. |
