Jaeden’s boots lightly clicked along the stone surface of the path within Everstone Forest, such grounds didn’t make for good places for setting up a tent, but there were still places where shallow earth could be found. In the end, it was a fascinating place to be, Jaeden had been through the area on more than one occasion, both in his own travels and his training with Olevar during his youth. A quick sigh was released as his mind became nostalgic of those times, but such thoughts were soon pushed aside as he turned his head, looking to Tasha who walked next to him, gazing around the area for a moment to familiarize herself. Red gave a quick couple of yelps, calling attention to a good sight for setting up camp. “Well done Red,” Jaeden called out heading in that direction before looking to Tasha. “A tour will take a bit of time, enough that I won’t be able to make it out of Everstone before nightfall, so I’m going to set up camp to spend the night here.”
Jaeden began making his way over towards the clearing as Red run up to him, hopping upwards as her front paws pressed against his legs in excitement, her tail wagging slightly. Jaeden slowly reached down, giving a quick pat of the hand and nice scratch of her ears. He then reached over his shoulders, pulling out a short, white dress, holding it out. “Stretch your legs a bit, Red.” Jaeden then suggested.
Red gave another quick bark, high pitch and almost sounding like a quick scream in some ways. She ran a couple paces ahead, pausing for a moment as she shook her entire body as if flinging off drops of water from her fur. Then a quick flash of golden light shimmered in front of their eyes, the light growing larger and longer, taking an upright position. It then faded just as quickly as a slender female with strait brown hair and smooth white skin. Her naked frame showed a well fit tone, but more to the point around her abdomen and torso, than her arms and legs. She walked towards the two of them, unashamed of being naked in front of them, and smiling when she caught Jaeden looking over her body as he held out her dress at the same time. “I’ll just go find some kindling for the campfire while you set up camp.” Red offered, grasping her dress lightly as she began to slip it on over her frame.
“Thank you Red,” Jaeden said, giving a nod. “Keep your nose sharp though, as you usually do. Don’t want you getting surprised by some twit out there.”
Red gave a nod as she began to disappear behind a nearby rock, moving towards an are where normal trees could be seen in the distance. Jaeden stepped into the small clearing, kicking his foot into the soft earth as he gazed over the impacts it made. He slowly looked up then, taking a glance around before a long, high pitched whistle was given. It wouldn’t be long before the subtle grunts and exhales were heard from the west, and heavy clacks of hooves landing along the stone ground as a large, black Nightwalker approached. The horse gave a quick bob of his head as he approached Jaeden, before finally lowering it as Jaeden’s hand slipped along the horse’s brow, giving him a light rub. “Find any apples Fortunado?” Jaeden said with an amused smirk on his face, the Nightwalker shaking it’s head in reply. “Well, I told you there wouldn’t be hardly any apple trees in this area.”
Jaeden then stepped up to the middle of the clearing, unbuckling a strap that ran across his waist. The straps to his pack were then pulled free of his shoulder as it landed to the ground with a heavy thud, suggesting it bore a more than average amount of weight. “Well then,” Jaeden said as he looked to Tasha, giving a soft smile, “give me about a half bell to set up camp and we’ll begin the tour. At least of the areas I know of in Everstone.”
