This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

Notable for its otherworldly appearance, Glass Beach is a favorite place for the citizens of Kenash, for both the Freeborn and the dynasties of the city. The eternal summer means it is forever favorable beach weather, and the rays of light have the added effect of highlighting the beach's main attraction: its grains of glass, which reflect wonderfully the sunlight shone down on it in a myriad of colors.

The beach is where all trade with Wind Reach takes place, which would explain from where the glass for its composure comes from. Wind Eagles carrying glasswork from Mount Skyinarta have been known from time to time to drop their wares into the Suvan below, more often than not breaking upon meeting the surface of the water. From there, the waters would dull the edges and the currents would bring the shards - eventually - to Glass Beach, where further friction with the other shards would dull each piece of glass into a smooth pebble of the beach. Farther up the beach, the oldest pieces of glass have worn down so greatly from foot traffic and erosion that they are little more than grains, similar to sand except infinitely more colorful.

For trade with the Inarta, a large boardwalk was erected on the westernmost point of the beach, jutting out slightly into the Suvan but mostly accommodated on the beach. Since it is the largest in the city, it could more than fit the boardwalk and still allow the citizens of the city plenty of space with which to enjoy a leisurely dip in the ocean. An office sits at the start of the boardwalk, merely to record the transactions which take place there and track who has purchased what from the Inarta.

Additional Info: Wind Reach's chosen man in Kenash, Verren keeps records of all transactions made at Glass Beach within his home at the entrance to the pier, the front of which has been fashioned into an office of sorts. This record keeping is equal parts for making sure that the Inarta received the full worth for their goods as well as keeping record of exactly who owned what of the glasswork left behind. He can also send commissions back with the Inarta to Wind Reach, allowing for custom glasswork for a buyer willing to pay extra.

The aging man has been stationed in Kenash for most of his life, not yet requesting a transfer back to Wind Reach. Truth be told, he has grown fond of Kenash, enjoying the great variety of goods and services available. Since his livelihood isn't dependent on running a business, he is a lot more carefree than many in the city, embodied by his love of telling tall tales that cross the line between fact and fiction frequently. He does, however, take his responsibility to Wind Reach seriously, keeping an ear open for the approach of the Endal and their prestigious Wind Eagles.

Purchasing Inartan Glasswork
Citizens are able to buy glasswork from Wind Reach every X days when the Wind Eagles arrive. Prices are similar to those on the price list, which should be consulted for self-moderated threads.

Unique and elegant glasswork can be commissioned by submitting the request to Verren, who sends the request back with the Wind Eagles next time they arrive. The commission will arrive next time the Wind Eagles return and be brought to Verren, who will only give it to the person who submitted the request. To make sure that the glassworkers' time isn't wasted, all commissions are paid in advance, and are valued at twice the listed price for a regular item.
