This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

The Gamboling Bridge is a classic stone bridge, funded by the Sitai dynasty, built between Dry Island and Sun Island in the year 405AV. It is a simple, non-paying bridge able to withstand both flooding and storm and decorated with pretty lights, but otherwise unremarkable in itself. What is remarkable however is that which goes on there for it is a lively place, both at night and in the day, where all manner of peddlers gather to sell their wares and where there will always invariably be a busker or two. A couple of times a year, a carnival or fete tends to take place there too, and at these times, a toll is usually set up to deal with the invariable influx of people. Due to its proximity to Midnight Market, however, it has been known to be a prime spot for pickpockets, so those crossing (or sticking around) are advised to keep their purses close to them.

The name "Gamboling Bridge" is what it became known as when "Sitai Bridge" did not really catch on. It was dubbed thus due to its reputation for frolicking and being the site of many secret meetings between lovers, who think it a romantic place to meet, but also because it is rumoured to move, as detailed below. Oddly enough, the Sitai Dynasty gave in to pressure from the people of the city, and decided to officially change its name in the year 443AV.

An rumour states that the bridge sometimes moves upstream between the twelfth and first bell of every day with a full moon, but the Sitai family have proven this story completely false. Still, the rumour persists and many insist that the reason it hasn't been proven is because the bridge is simply too clever to be caught in the act (Naturally, those who insist this for too long are usually taken to some sort of healer to check for possible mental issues) and, though nobody minds this really, anyone professing this theory will undoubtedly be met with good-natured chuckles or eyes rolling in derision.

Information: Officially speaking, written permission by any member of the Sitai family needs to be granted to peddle or busk on the Bridge and those who go without will incur a fine. However, in practice, there's nobody really bothering to check for illegal peddlers.
