Kelski was on her day off. Usually the Kelvic used the time to gather food stores and work on her home which was coming along nicely in her estimation. Cave living in Lhavit wasn't all that glamorous. People in the city lived far better. But being Kelvic, Kelski didn't mind the rudimentary accommodations. Things would get better. But she needed time and to be able to settle into life in Lhavit. That would come, and most of it would come with her getting better at her chosen profession.
However, her Master at the Shining Diamond had indeed charged her with gathering some natural stones, things she could do some practice jewelcrafting on and so the Sea Eagle had headed to The Tranquil Port. She'd bypassed where the docks were and moved further out, onto the extensive arms of the bay. Here, her Master had explained to her that pearls were sometimes found in oysters that dwelled under the sea. He'd even gone so far as to show Kelski what an oyster looked like. That made Kelski long for one until she realized that the best way to find them was to dive deeply and hold ones breath for a long time. She couldn't even swim well. So the Sea Eagle had resorted to walking along the receding tideline and picking up tumbled stones along the shore including sea glass, which she'd amassed quite a bit of.
Her belt pouch was nearly full and she'd been at it for almost an hour before she finally turned to retrace her steps down the beach and return back to the cave to sort her loot and decide which she'd present to Li for him to decide what she'd make of them.
