Birthday: 17, Summer, 512 A.V.
Birthplace: Lhavit
Current Location: Zeltiva
Appearance: Torian stands a haughty 6’4 with a lean, powerful frame. Weighing in at about 210 pounds he shows the elegance and majesty of his feline counterpart. In human form, his hair takes on the appearance of a speckled gold, darker at the roots, tapering out to a wispy, waved mop on top. There are a few dark freckles that spot his cheeks and chin, with a few hidden from view on his upper chest and forearms. The rest of his hearty skin is a light tan with an almost golden sheen in bright lighting. Large brown feline eyes take the spotlight as his most standout facial feature.
Nudity, like to most Kelvics, brings no shame, and Torian often prefers in hotter weather to go with as little clothing as possible. However, as he has been raised in the city, he’s learned the cultural morals of society and actively seeks to respect them, saving those times of bareness to privacy. While in public he wears simple garbs of neutral colours. In times of Fall and Spring, while the weather is slightly cooler than what’s comfortable, he is adorned in a cream coloured, loose, long sleeved shirt. Year round he can be seen wearing simple brown pants. If the weather is fine and dry, Torian will walk around bare footed, as his feet are thickly calloused. Though during the Winter season he bundles up in a large coat and boots.
Character ConceptTorian is a very analytical man. Torian strives for power in sync with his animal form, however he is not blinded by it. While he is instinctually driven to achieve dominance, he is intellectually driven to use it to help others. He carries himself with pride that could be taken as over confidence or a snotty attitude at a glance, but once engaged in a conversation it becomes evident with the amount of attention and respect he gives every individual that there is a caring and gentle soul hidden beneath the prowess, regardless of how he struggles to effectively show it.
While attentive and caring, Torian often struggles to show affection and relay deep feelings. For example he might tell a friend that he enjoys their company, but would struggle to ask to see them again, or tell a person that was comforting him, he appreciates the gesture, but wouldn’t be able to tell them that he relies on them heavily for emotional support. Torian frequently speaks bluntly, which is both good and bad depending on the situation. If he found a female to be attractive, he would have no qualms with simply telling her, “You are attractive.” In reverse, if he found a female to be unattractive or chatty, he would tell her, “You talk too much,” or “You’re voice is unpleasant.” Along the same line, Torian doesn’t understand the concept of lying, and thinks that society would be better off if it were cut out completely.
Torian keeps a regular diet of mostly raw meat, though he does enjoy it lightly cooked, with a lot of water. On occasion he’ll partake in bread and a mix of berries and fruit, though its rare and used to help cleanse his body. He sleeps for about 16 hours a day, and is by far the most active in the evening around dusk like most of Lhavit’s natives.
Torian is deeply faithful to Zintila, like his mother, and has a shrine dedicated to her. He regularly studies astronomy in his fascination and devotion to the goddess. He strives to be close to her in a similar fashion as he strives for a bondmate, but with less need or urgency. He is content and understands the relationship between follower and deity, and merely wants to serve her as wholeheartedly as he can. He also celebrates Caiyha. While he is not as devote to her, due to limited information provided by his mother, he does recognize and appreciate her impact on the flora.
Character HistoryTorian was born of two other Kelvics in the city of Lhavit. His mother was a humble Moose and his father a large Wart hog. He grew rather quickly and was matured by the age of two. His mother Eva was naturally nurturing, and kept him close by her side as he grew. She taught him to enjoy the beautiful things in life, giving him an appreciation and love of the sky and Zintila. His father however, had lived the much tougher life of slavery, and taught Torian to fight and be strong. Unfortunately his father, who was bonded to a human male, died protecting his bondmate’s daughter from a Symenstra that had raided their home in search of a surrogate. He was successful in saving the girl, but sustained heavy wounds from the fight and died a day later. He brought home his gladius and bestowed it to Torian before passing.
Torian left the home of his parents shortly after to seek his own bondmate and shape his own path. He’s moved on to Zeltiva for the time being. He currently resides at The World’s End inn.
