A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

"I want the shooting star from last night in the sky, so it has to be night. But not too dark, understand? Like, bright as day with all the colors but still obviously nighttime. Oh! Oh! And I want a shadow of the monster in the canal behind me! I need to look like I don't care about it though, like Rhysol is granting me strength to not be afraid. But I don't want to look like I should be afraid either." The young woman, more girl than woman if Luciana was honest with herself, continued to inanely babble about what she wanted her portrait to convey, seemingly oblivious that the artist had long since stopped paying attention and was responding with nothing but polite smiles and slight nods of her head.

As far as subject matter went, the young woman was at least aesthetically pleasing. Her features symmetrical enough to grant her enough beauty that men would overlook her inability to compose a meaningful thought, her bright blonde hair giving enough contrast to what would now been an evening skyline in the painting, and her blue eyes would easily reflect the waters that ran through the canals surrounding her. The fact she had offered Luciana enough mizas to make the enduring her presence for a few bells worthwhile while creating the majority of the painting that afternoon had nothing to do with her actually accepting the job, surely.

A small laugh left the painter as she shook her head at the thought. No, the mizas only helped. It was the fact the girl was some cousin to the Lark family that really sealed the deal. While Luciana doubted the woman would ever manage to spout out any useful information, the portrait she had commissioned would hopefully garner enough attention that others in her family would seek out the same artist.

As Fateena, as Luciana learned the girl's name was, moved on to other topics; mostly her opinion on the recent events around the city, the artist sketched out the rough outlines of the scene with a stick of charcoal. At least the girl had chosen a decent enough area to frame herself in as she sat comfortably on a bench just outside of the Studio of Yae Varone.

The yammering girl became only another object to sketch for the moment, a mass of meaningless shapes that only when compiled together did they form a human figure. The pose was the important thing to capture at the moment, which unfortunately her subject couldn't quite seem to decide how to present herself.

"Madam," Luciana begrudgingly spoke up, bringing the rather vacant stare of the young woman to focus upon her. "I'll need you to sit still for a moment. Just a small one."

Luciana emphasized her last comment by making a gesture with her fingertips and attempting her best apologetic smile, as if the girl's constant fidgeting and shifting positions was purely the fault of the artist rather than her client. Rhysol, grant me the patience to not shove her into the water. Fateena squeaked an apology before suddenly sitting up straight and as ridged as if she had a board stuck to her spine. It was hardly her best look, but nothing that couldn't be slightly altered now that she was at least still.

It didn't last long before the young woman once again began her running commentary on the situation with the monster. Luciana was glad for the canvas between them, it allowed for the artist to roll her eyes in an over dramatic way and mouth another prayer to her God to just make it through the day without having her intelligence completely sapped by the girl.
