Hello Rockers! So I have two new locations for you, one which will be relevant to many new players are the Dormitories a simple housing set up with beautiful view for travelers and newcomers settled into the peak of the island. The other, prompted by Amrita's arrival is One Foot in the Grave a mostly abandoned dance studio that I am hoping Amrita will be helping bring back to life! Hello Rockers!

So Amrita was kind enough to present a very cool map making program that helped me find an appropriate shape to Dira's Isle, and I believe is working on her own version of this very map. This changes the orientation of a couple things, namely the Western Bay changing to the Eastern bay, and the location of the Black Marsh being Southernly, but other than that everything remains the same. I hope this helps folks with a better visual layout of the island, more pictures, distances, and map like ideas will be forthcoming, and this image is now in the linkmap

Hey Travy and other Rockers, I believe?

I've got a question that I thought I'd ask in public forum so that others can either contribute or find the answer to.

What is black rocks general view on magic? I imagine ones like spiritism and auristics are generally accepted. But what about other magics, for example is animation frowned upon? Is reimancy a common practice, within reason?

I'm no expert, but honestly, I think Black Rock is accepting of most everything, as there is little fear of death. Undead are unwelcome, so using animation to create Nuit would likely get you (and the creation) killed by Omens. I think Animation would be fine if it is used to create something like a Pycon. All other magics, I imagine, are accepted, though using the art of Dusting (a part of Spiritism) is also likely to get you killed or turned into an Ashl. I hope that helps.

Maro has it mostly right, I do see Black Rock as being very open to magic, much more so than most cities, the exceptions, and things they would not accept are the following: Animation in any form Summoning in any form Things unheard of on Black Rock would be Webbing and Familiary, though Familiary would be looked down upon if folks knew what it was, no one really knows what it is on the island, however Animation is seen as an affront to Kihala, and Dira (and the denizens of the island) would not approve, nor her Omens. Summoning has the very real threat of putting other inhabitants at risk, again not tolerated by the Omens. Everything else is fair game
