This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

ImageWhen one thinks of gambling in the city of Kenash, generally images of Towery's Casino and the man himself are brought to mind. Realizing this, Anessa quickly realized the need for there to be another in the city. And she monopolized upon it. Where Towery's casino could be called an everyman's casino, where those who can taste the finery of Kenash but only just, Anessa knew that it was only in the miniaturization of her customer base and appealing to a higher-class, wealther and more powerful patronage that she would truly make her profit. And of course, to appeal to this base, her passion had to find deep pockets and draw from them.

ImageLike all properties in the Pavilléon, the Lucre Pavilléon is comprised of only the finest of finery. Extravagant, elegant, the themes shift in conjunction with the rest of the Pavilléon, but breathe their own air. Ovek's sixer runs upon a banner at the front of the building, two solid silver sixer sculptures present just inside of doors made of rich, treated oak. Going into the Lucre Pavilléon, one finds the scents of Rajor cigars and Morealis rum deeply ingrained into the air. The sounds of rolling dice and jangling chips fill the air, Music can be heard over the movement in the casino, breathing life into it. Different rooms in the casino play different music. Silver sculptures line an entrance upon a checkered black and white rug, is accented by the quiet playing of a harp, grace freely given to Ovek. Where sculptures end and the door to the main casino meet, there is a twenty foot space that sculptures are not present.

Image.Instead, two fountains hug the walls on each side, each with a miniaturized sixer placed at the top, where one can pray to Ovek for luck in their gambling ventures. The games that make themselves are limited by nothing save for the imagination. Card games of all kinds, roulette, dice games, and riskier, dangerous games can be played in some of the many 'back rooms' that can be found in the Lucre Pavilléon. Though the main attraction of the Lucre is the gambling, there is also another. Performance. Be it dance, magic, or illusions, the Lucre is renown for its tendency to hire on acts that astound and amaze the crowds. Primarily, the Lucre's theatre deals with the art of the Inverted, Illusionism, with two of its permanent performers employing its use; however, there is also a full-time acrobat who has his own, long-standing act and miscellaneous acts fill in the day to allow the performers some reprieve.

Emblazoned upon the tapestry of paint and artwork that lines the walls of Lucre Pavilléon, the words 'Come What May' are emblazoned, though none save for Anessa Radacke know exactly why they are there.

Proprietor
Image
Name: Anessa Radacke
Race: Human
DoB: 24th of Spring, 481
PoB: Kenash
Title: Proprietor of Lucre Pavilléon
Skills: 72 Business Management, 56 Mathematics, 54 Negotiation, 31 Persuasion.
Gnosis: None.
Additional Info: One of the few truly business-minded souls in the Radacke Dynasty, Anessa quickly saw the rest of her family as a hindrance to her success. Cruel, unnecessarily so, she was inspired by her cousin Kiala's flippant disregard of human existence to free herself from the binds of her family. With the waning health of Micah Radacke, she saw it fit to invest her resources (given to her by the Radacke family itself) and orchestrate her severance from Whiplash and the people in it.

Anessa lives in the Lucre Pavilléon and rarely, if ever, leaves. Managing the business has become her life and she leaves the details, such as who and when performances are, to her husband. She works endlessly to satisfy her desire to wrest true independence and return the Radacke investment to her family. Until then, she realizes that the Radacke name continues to loom its shadow over her, and she despairs in this.

Anessa is very fair to her slaves and offers them allowances of freedom, such as a five chip per ten day allowance to spend exclusively at the casino. If they win at the games, she allows them to keep the chips and use them however they desire (including to, if they save enough, buy their freedom from her.)

Performers
ImageName: Mario Radacke
Race: Human
DoB: 31st Fall, 475
PoB: Alvadas
Title: Master of Illusions, Husband to Anessa
Skills: 66 Rhetoric, 58 Musical Instrument: Flute, 55 Hypnotism, 32 Persuasion, 25 Negotiation.
Gnosis: Ionu 2
Additional Info: Mario Radacke knew from a very young age that he was to dedicate his life to entertainment. Born in Alvadas, the city of Ionu, he earned his first blessing by proving himself to be a mischievous soul, one perfectly at home in the midst of illusions and at one with the heart of the Trickster. Once a member of the troupe known at the Inverted, he caught the eye of Anessa Radacke at a performance in Kenash and the two fell into marriage not a year later.

Though Mario and Anessa are tied together, there is very little love in their union, and Mario seeks out his pleasures and affections elsewhere. He chose Melissa, a fellow Illusionist and a soul who once aspired to be one of the Inverted, and brought her to Kenash, instead. The two now share the stage with Il Phantasma and perform for the patrons of the Lucre Pavilléon together.

The relationships Mario keeps are kept a secret, though a hint of mischief in them and an almost fervent desire to be caught keep Mario on the edge. After years of marriage, the man pities his workaholic wife and though he does not touch her, he paints her life with illusions when he is not with Melissa or performing, seeking to have her 'lighten up'.

Mario's performances tend to have him employing Illusionism through the medium of sight while accompanying his grand illusions with sound and tastes that bombard the senses with delight.

ImageName: Melissa
Race: Human
DoB: Unknown (Year: 491)
PoB: Presumably Kenash.
Title: Assistant to Mario Radacke
Skills: 42 Musical Instrument: Flute, 40 Musical Composition, 37 Sleight of Hand, 36 Acrobatics, 32 Juggling.
Gnosis: Ionu 1
Additional Info:Dedicated. Diligent. Mischievous. Most who look to Melissa see not a seductress or the enabler of an adulterer, as some have taken to calling her. They see a vibrant soul. Melissa does not often speak, but one can see the joy she carries with her in every aspect of her performance. This, of course, is not limited to the stage.

She is an instigator of mischief and will sometimes use her abilities with illusions, both magical and perceived, to her advantage. For example, one will often see her taking an item from a person, only to make it 'vanish' before their very eyes, only to giggle as it falls from the top of their head.

Diligent in her stage presence but light-hearted when off-duty, Melissa is the direct opposite of Anessa, and one can guess that it was that quality that drew Mario Radacke to her. Together, they draw crowds to the Lucre like a moth to the flame, which is most likely why their relationship is tolerated in the first place.

ImageName: Il Phantasma
Race: Unknown (Presumably Human)
DoB: Unknown
PoB: Unknown (Presumably Kenash)
Title: Il Phantasma, performer extraordinaire
Skills: 78 Acrobatics, 68 Acting, 66 Unarmed Combat, 60 Weapon: Quartertaff, 54 Dance, 37 Stealth.
Gnosis: Unknown.
Additional Info: Faceless. Unknown. Enigmatic. The last word, more than any other, is what can be used to describe Il Phantasma. There is not a single person who can lay claim to having seen the performer's face, for in all aspects of their life, Il Phantasma ensures that he or perhaps she keeps it hidden. They claim that it is to add an element of mystery to the flair for the dramatics that they already possess, but some suspect that there may be a more nefarious reason for the hidden identity. Phantasma's voice is androgynous in nature, the performer having mastered the art of leveling their speech and even throwing it to add yet another element of surprise to their work.

Il Phantasma, unlike the majority of the Pavilléon 's acts and public figures, is never seen outside of the stage, for it is a simple manner to hide from the world when it has never seen one's face. Though, from all accounts, Il Phantasma is a very active individual, for their room in Bijou Pavilléon is rarely used, which can lead one to assume that they do not live in the Pavilléon itself, but in Kenash proper. Speculation has arisen and gossip regarding Il Phantasma's identity is limitless, but this only works in his and by extension, Lucre Pavilléon 's favour.

When one watches the performances of Il Phantasma, they immediately note his mastery of the workings of his body. He seems to nearly fly in the air, seamlessly moving from lead to leap, his use of the quarter staff as both a performance weapon and a sort of ladder to climb upon seen as one of the most inventive acts in Mizahar. Further speculation has arisen in regards to whether Il Phantasma's disguise is his own or the work of Ionu or Illusionism, but as the performer has no visible skin, a gnosis has never been identified. Most assume it is merely a customized cloth that he drapes over his skin.
