Closed [The Bronze Woods] Another run in with the Knights

[Suresslynn]

Suresslynn grimaced as Garland tried to dismount and got kicked by his horse. "Yeah...I'll be back." she said as she started to walk back to where they killed the Yukman. However, she was stopped by the man's question, which she paused to ponder for a moment before shaking her head. "I'm afraid not. I've only learned two herbs, and of those, one's an antitoxin, the other is largely a cooking spice but occasionally works on internal pain. But when we get back into town, we'll stop by the shop and Madame Sahfri will know something that will help. I'll be back shortly." she said, before turning away and heading to the Yukman.

When she got back to the mud creature, the birds were still tweeting, but she didn't waste any time in getting the gems off the of creatures body before getting out of that part of the woods as quickly as she could. When she got back to Garland, she handed him half of the gems she had gotten off the creatures body. "Here's your half. Do you want help getting back on your horse?" she asked, her tone curious.

[Garland]

"Yeah, let's head back. He probably won't kick me off or run into branches." He pointed his own horse. He grabbed the gems and placed in his pack. "Alright..." He pushed himself up and popped a few joints here and there. "Let's go." He climbed on his horse and waited for him to either kick him off or run headlong into a branch, but he didn't.

"Lynn, lead the way, I think I might get us lost. My heads all fuzzy." He gave a weak laugh and made his horse trot to Syliras' general direction. "We really need a name for you, bud." He pets the horse gently.

He wanted to ask Lynn something when they got back, but she probably would have done it by now if she wanted to. So he decided to ask about something else. "Where did you learn to fight like that? I mean I heard about boxing, but I don't think anyone actually practices it in Syliras. Did your parents teach you when you were younger?" He still didn't know that Suresslynn was a Dhani.

[Suresslynn]

Suresslynn watched as Garland put his gems in his pack before putting her own away and mounting her horse. When he asked her to lead the way, the Dhani nodded and started back towards Syliras. At Garlands question, Suresslynn gave him slightly surprised look before shaking her head. "No...I'm self taught. When I was younger I wandered away from my home and saw a match. For some reason, it fascinated me and started practicing on my own when I could get the time. Took me a while to get the footwork down, but I have a lot of fun practicing, so I kept at it. Eventually I got kind of decent at it and now I use at as an actual fighting style." she said, shrugging slightly.

[Garland]

"Well, that's great. I mostly use my feet when I fight hand-to-hand. I just think its stronger, I mean our legs have supported us since we can walk. So it must be strong." He poked his sore chest several times just for fun. "Ow... I think I might have broken a rib."

His gave a soft whinny, as if he tried to not laugh at his rider's pain.

"Laugh it up, you dumb mule. I swear. I wonder how I'm still standing most of the time." He looked at Lynn's desert bred horse and sighed. "At least yours doesn't hurt you on purpose... Much."

[Suresslynn]

Suresslynn shrugged slightly as Garland said he used his legs primarily for unarmed fighting. "You might be right, but I primarily rely on my speed for combat, so using my legs could potentially rob me of my speed. As a result, I don't really use my legs hardly at all when I fight." she said, before giving him an odd look as he joked with his horse before apparently complimenting her on hers.

Shaking her head, she patted her horses neck as he whinnied. "Sort of. He doesn't really go out of his way to hurt me, but half the time he dumps me on my hide, he makes me chase him around for a bell or so before he lets me get back on." she said, laughing slightly as they rode back to the ciy.

[Garland]

"Let's not give then any ideas." He gave a nervous laugh, gently pet his horse. "I don't want to walk back, okay?"

The two of them made it back on the main road towards the city. A few people here and there were tracking from the city to the outpost or vice versa, but most of them gave the two curious looks. A squire that looked like he was kicked in the face several times along with his bruised chest, he looked like he should be in a hospital instead of riding a horse.

Lynn got out witgout any visible injuries as far as he could see, and surprisingly her hair was still very well kept despite the fight earlier. He then figured out why he was still standing, the adrenaline was pumping into his system, but now that the fight was over, he felt the full force of his injuries.

He coughed up a bit of blood and his vision started to blur. He felt his arms go limp as he slipped off his horse and lie unconscious in the road.

[Suresslynn]

"Yeah, I don't want to walk back either." Suresslynn laughed as Garland said not to give his horse any ideas. She did notice that the pair caught a few odd looks, though she figured that Garlands head had stopped bleeding a while ago or he would have said something. Or at least, that's what she thought before the squire tumbled out of his saddle.

"Shyke!" she said, sliding off her horse and letting out a grunt of annoyance as she tried to stand up straight. "Gone all stiff...muscles don't want to work right..." she muttered under her breath, feeling her leather armor under her jacket. "Leather blocked some, but might have a few broken ribs." Suresslynn grimaced as she grabbed her waterskin and knife before she cut off part of her tarp and walked over to the wounded squire.

Crouching down next to Garland, Suresslynn poured some of her water over the wound to try and clean it out before she wrapped his head with the part of the tarp she had cut up. "Come on...wake up, wake up...can't have you dying on me." she muttered under her breath as she tied off the wrap.

[Garland]

Garland wasn't bleeding badly on his head, but the chest bruises, thanks to his horse, were more concerning. Even though the armor blocked most of the damage, he still had several broken ribs.

His face was bruised and bloody, but otherwise he's fine. Luckily enough he doesn't have any internal bleeding, but he was knocked out cold.

A pair of knights had come up from Syliras and looked over the boy and Dhabi girl.

"What happened? Come on, let's get him back to the city." One of the knights said and ordered the other knight to grab his arms while he grabbed his legs.

[Suresslynn]

Suresslynn looked over Garlands head as best she was able, but all she could tell was that his face was bruised and he was bleeding from the head. When two members of the Syliran order showed up, the Dhani stepped to the side and let them pick up the wounded squire. "We got attacked by a Yukman in the forest and he got injured trying to hold it off. It's dead now, but he's got at least his head injury." she said, handing the reigns of Garlands horse to one of the knights.

[Garland]

The two knights nodded and loaded the unconscious boy onto one of their horses. "You'll need to come with us, though. Get you treated and help us fill in a few gaps of information for our report on this, if that's alright."

The two knights got up on their horses and one knight took the reigns of Garland's horse.

One knight led the way while the other covered their backs. It was a basic escort formation, they'll have eyes on anything that gets close to their charge.
