Strangers in the woods ( Nidae, Seliarus )

"Usually an hour or two with a game so large, but it's not the case now." Nehsmay twirled the deer over the fire again and said "The fire is powerful, therefore some parts are already ready." She took her knife from her backpack and cut off the parts she deemed ready, leaving the others over the fire. "Here you are. The chest is the trickiest to cook if you ask me, because it can simply get burnt on the outside and remain raw on the inside. That's why I keep moving the stick." She told the Kelvic what she learned from her own observation.

Noticing Seliarus who had water dripping from his hair she beckoned him to stand by the fire. "You'll catch a cold if you stay like that. Or...ummm... can Dhani catch colds?" she blushed realizing her mistake. "Anyway why don't you join us." She took some deer and started eating as well.

The Dhani nodded, walking loser to the fire. He looked at the Vantha who spoke about colds. He lightly smiled, and shook his head. "We jussst go to sssleep..." He said, hoping that she would understand where he was aiming at. He sat down by the fire, letting his hair and clothes get enough heat in them so the water could vaporize. He sighed lightly, observing the cooking.

He felt quite cold, but being near the fire was all he needed to start and feel better. He looked around for a moment, before shifting closer to the fire. He had nothing to talk about, so he stayed silent. And listened to the conversation they had about cooking.

OOC: We all going to sleep soon, or talking some more?

Nidassasyae sat back down, hearing that the deer was ready. Washing off the blood could wait until later. The leopard took some of the deer, cocking her head to one side as she examined the piece of cooked meat, and took a large bite out of it.

Smiling happily as she realized that the food was quite good. Perhaps people had the right idea, cooking their food. Of course, raw meat was very good too, and Nidae couldn't quite say that cooking it was always the best idea. After hunting, the best thing to eat was your still warm prey.

Nidae had no idea what they were talking about, but settled down to listen anyways. The warmth of the fire and food in her belly made her quite comfortable in the cool night air.

"You cook really well Nehsmay," remarked the leopard, sitting down cross legged by the fire.

"Thanks," Nehsmay laughed "but I am a very poor cook in comparison to others of my kin like those in the Winterflame Hold." She glanced at her horse who seemed to doze off and smiled "Looks like my silly colt fell asleep. Serves him right to be tired after the merry chase he made me have." She took another bite of the deer and turned her attention towards Seliarus who stood quiet by the fire.

"I'm sorry if I sound too interfering, but don't you get lonely sometimes without having someone to travel with?" She hoped the Dhani wouldn't get mad at her for asking such a question, but he seemed like a good person who didn't deserved being treated badly because of his race.

Seliarus thought about the question for a moment. Of course he did.Sometimes more than he should. But he got used on it. He couldn't take a risk with traveling, because many people who see him, would assume that the people around are bad. And then complications would happen. Besides, who'd even want to share a camp together with someone who is known to eat a whole grown up man when hungry. Without much hassle.

"My travelsss...Are usssually hunting. I avoid outpossstsss, then I could create complicationss." He said, trying to sound as cold as possible, so he'd hide his sorrow. No one wanted to be alone. But he was just a too big of a risk. "Asss everyone, I alssso feel empty. But, I got usssed on it. Ssso, there'sss no ussse crying over it." He nodded after the statement. He was telling the truth, after all.

Nidassasyae shrugged, finishing the piece of deer. It was a hearty meal for a human, but not much for a leopard. In thie form, she felt absolutely stuffed, but if she was traveling in leopard form tomorrow, she'd need to catch something along the way.

She listened to Seliarus' cold speech, wondering how he actually felt about it. "Why don't you come with us? There can't be any complications if you say you're a Kelvic." She smiled mischievously.

The Dhani turned his attention towards Nidae. To come with them? It sounded more than tempting, but, accepting the offer might put them in danger. They did nothing bad to him, so he wasn't going to harm them. He lost himself for a moment thinking about how traveling would look like. Seeing new things, meeting new people. But that dream quickly changed into a horrid display of a fight. He sighed. "You two would be in danger...I couldn't do that."

Nehsmay couldn't believe what she heard. Surely no one could resign with the fact that whatever they did they would be lonely. She glanced at Nidae smirking when she heard the Kelvic's idea. Devious indeed...

"That's an excellent idea..." she grinned and glanced at Seliarus. "With two people vouching you are a Kelvic who would ever think to believe otherwise. What do you say?"

She frowned upon hearing his answer.
"Danger? Hmph... We're hunting a band of slave traders I don't see what worse danger we could stumble upon by having you in our traveling party."

Nidassasyae nodded. "If it comes to us versus the slave traders, my money is on Seliarus. Plus, traveling would be good for you," she said matter of factly, smiling that she had used a phrase learned in Avanthal.

"Pleeeeease?" asked Nidae.

Seliraus was confused. Not only did they know what he was. More, they wanted him with them, even though they knew the risk. Seliarus more than just wanted to accept the offer, but, he had his doubts. The idea was not exactly a bad one, but what about his dialect? He didn't really think that there could be a Kelvic who looked, acted, and spoke like a Dhani. It was just confusing.

"Are you two...Sssure you don't want to think about thisss? If the cover blowsss...Not only I will be in danger. You two will be asss well. I don't think that there isss a Kelvic who hasss ALL of the ssspecialitiesss a Dhani hasss. You two would have more to worry about than ssslave tradersss."
