Thank the gods for sand (Lynx & Sheaya)

Postby Sheaya on September 13th, 2014, 4:22 pm

Fall 20th
Late morning

Staying still had never been an option for Sheaya; as long as there was daylight and will to move, she felt as if she needed to be doing something with herself. As she had nothing else to do for that time of day, Shea got up that morning with the sole goal of teaching herself to ride that ridiculous beast of a horse. She had only tried once before to ride an animal back when she was carrying her first son, but after a near fall she had yelled at her husband for making her get onto the beast in the first place and had refused to get back on.
Her situation had changed since all those years back. She no longer had someone to teach her, and if she ever wanted to get back home in a timely manner unlike what had been spent to reach Riverfall she needed to learn to ride. Thankfully she had such a beast to help herself with.

The stubborn grey beast that had carried the burden of Shea's items to the city in the first place was in fine form this morning when she collected him from the stables. She was happy to see the young stallion was in good health and that the stable hands were seemingly taking good care of him, but she did not enjoy the animal's attitude when she tried to work with him. She was able to put on the simple saddle and blanket that she had as the straps seemed easy enough to figure out, as well as the reins. The horse seemed to enjoy none of it though and constantly moved and whinnied at her, leaving her to scold the animal in her native tongue. After spending more time then necessary on just preparing the horse she lead his through the streets of the city, heading for the shoreline.

Shea pulled her shawl closer around her shoulders, hoping to block out the chill in the air as they drew closer to the sandy shores as it was easier to feel without the buildings to block the wind. It felt good to be walking on the uneven surface and feeling her feet sink into the loose terrain, and Shea could only imagine her companion enjoyed the feeling of home as well, but some thing she could do without was the cool breeze that went right through her.

"Okay horse, just stay still." she whispered to the nameless animal, steeling herself to resist chattering her teeth at all cost as she stood ready to mount. She examined the stirrups and tried to recall how she had seen people get on as last time she had simply been lifted onto the horse.
While standing by the right flank of the horse she instinctively tried slipping her right foot into the stirrup and pull herself up by holding onto the horn, realizing quickly that it did not look or feel right and getting down once more. She tried once more using her left foot this time and had more success getting on, but sitting upon the saddle she froze, unsure what to do when she realized she didn't have the reins in reach, the still hung down as if she was going to lead the animal.

She tried reaching over the top of the saddle and hugging the horses neck as she reached for the strip of leather, but the combination of the stubborn beast turning his head away and her short arms left her still unable to reach them while on.

[color#990000]"Quit being a child and work with me. She scolded, but the animal still gave her a hard time. Finally the Benshira just had to give up trying to reach for the leather strap and told herself that she would just ride without it as she did not want to get back down after getting on being a mild struggle (one she was almost positive would be harder to accomplish again if she dared to get off again.)

Insisting to herself that this would work, she gave the horse a light kick to see if he would go. Instead it gave her a small whinny and snorted, refusing to move.
"So help me... Move!" She gave another kick with her hands firmly on the saddle horn, but once again the horse only shuffled on his feet without moving in any real direction.
"Go?" She held onto the horses mane this time and gave it a small tug as she kicked once more, and much to her delight there was a response. The horse started trotting and she felt a sense of pride fill her, but the longer she remained on the horse at this slow pace the more the straps on the underside of her seat started to give with her weight added on.

"Stop now! Shea ordered the horse with some fear when she realized she was slipping. Against better judgement she gave a sharp tug on the horses hair as she said this, an action the young stallion did not seem to enjoy as he gave a loud noise and started breaking out into a gallop. [color#990000]" No! NO!" Were the last things heard from Sheaya as she saddle slipped almost completely under the horse as she lost her grip on the mane, and before she could register anything else she fell off, face first into the coarse sand. with a loud thump. Shea gave a low moan followed by a string of Benshira curses as she tried to ignore the soreness she felt from that one drop and found herself thankful that this was only sand and nothing harder as her horse slowed down and seemed to give a triumphant neigh that he was free of the weight of his rider.

Lynx had decided to take a break for the rest of the day from her job of copying pages from books, for her mind was elsewhere, it was not focused upon her job, nor the loops of the letters. Blotched after blotched letter appeared upon the pages that she was working with and her frustration got so bad the other day that she had torn the page by accident, as she had applied too much pressure with the pen knife. So, after she had blotched the page multiple times and had to gently use the pen knife to remove them, she decided that a walk was in order before she tore the page again today. The ethaefal had stopped by her room to change into her purple tunic and black pants before she returned to walking along the streets, her pair of black silkena dogs following closely upon her heels. They were still growing and were still fairly leggy, so they were at a medium height, their growth spurt having slowed down. Slowly, they were beginning to listen to her, but occasionally they had selective hearing. A problem that she hoped that they would grow out of, eventually, but for the moment, she was content that they followed some of her commands.

As she reached the beach, she paused to brush back her white hair and her violet gaze drifted towards the sky, her hand lifting to shade her eyes from the glare as she scowled at Syna. While its time was slowly growing shorter by the day as it edged further towards the season of winter, she still wished that winter would come around sooner rather than later. Although, Lynx knew that she could not deny her father his lover and so she tolerated the sun goddess, for the moment, even if she did wish that the world would be plunged into a darkness that stretched on for a good many seasons. Drawing a deep breath that expanded her lungs, she dropped her hand and her gaze to view the stretch of the beach, Snipe and Shadow had already taken their places beside her form. A raised voice reached her ears and her violet hues peered down into the distance to see a figure on top a horse. At first, it appeared that she was struggling with getting the horse moving, but when it did, the rider would slip before falling face first into the sand.

The galloping horse had seemed to slow down and gave a neigh, but Snipe and Shadow had other ideas and they launched into a run chasing after the horse with yaps quick to their maws. The whole event, while serious as it was, had the lethafal laughing with amusement and she pressed a hand to her stomach. The pair of black dogs took this as encouragement and continued to snap at the horse’s hind legs and she watched as the horse bolted, lunging forwards into a mad dash back towards its rider. After a moment’s pause in her laughter, she finally decided that perhaps it was best to call off her dogs, after all, they could very well hurt the beast and she cupped her hands together to call to the Silkenas. ”Snipe! Shadow! Here!” She used a firm tone in which to call them back with, otherwise, the medium sized dogs would not listen to her, especially when they became immersed into a chase. They came to a sliding halt, their heads turning to look back at her and then they turned upon their heels, racing back to her side. Silently, she would begin to walk towards the rider that had taken the fall, a smirk settling upon her lips.

Thank the gods for sand (Lynx & Sheaya)

Postby Sheaya on September 15th, 2014, 5:22 am

There were more curses flowing from the woman's lips as the horse's sounds were joined in by that of barking. She wasn't sure what she was expecting, but when she looked up she had not been expecting to see two canines yapping and snapping at her stallion. Quick to her feet she pushed herself up with a faint jingle and was going to try and scare the dogs off,
"Knock it off!" Was all she was able to call out, unable to move before the dogs started chasing the horse towards her. With her eyes wide in surprise she held up her hands in front of her as if to try and grab hold of the horse or to protect herself from his hooves as he charged. In reality she wasn't even sure what she was doing as she acted out of reflex.

The grey mount ran past his owner, fleeing the dogs with somewhat success. Sheaya could feel her heart racing that the horse could have stomped her down or that the dogs could have gone after her next. If her experience with horses was bad, her work with dogs was even worse. There were only wild wolves and other beasts of the same family in the desert, and there had only been few dogs she had ever seen in the walls of the cities she had visited so most of her experiences with such animals had never been exactly positive.

As the animals all ran past her in a mad flurry, Sheaya started running after. She started burning with a focus of giving the over grown mutts a piece of her mind and to save her horse as he was her ticket out of this city, not even thinking that the dogs belonged to anyone. For once since she had entered the city had she wished she had her slingshot with her to give these mutts a piece of her mind.

"I will end you mongrels and skin you with my bare hands if I get my hands on you!" She yelled at the dogs, never dreaming how comical this whole goose chase might look with the horse circling around to outrun the dogs with the Benshira lagging behind the two dogs who appeared to be having fun with this game. Shea felt her side splitting with pain by the time a voice called out words she couldn't quite make out at the moment and the dogs returned to a figure who slowly started walking her way.

Sheaya was gasping for air and holding onto her sides even from such a short run around, not use to such physical activity in these colder conditions. Taking her eyes off of the now apparent woman walking towards her she looked over at 'Horse' as he seemed to be settling down again now that he wasn't being chased but was still stomping and neighing loudly in either fear or irritation, neither being moods Shea could read in the animal given her limited experience.

By the time the other woman was close enough for the Benshira to make out that she was smirking Shea rose to her full height and straitened her shawl, the cold no longer seeming to bother her now that the blood was really flowing through her.
"Are those your dogs?" She asked in common tongue as she nodded to the two black, gangly beasts as she stood there with her hands on her hips. Her breathing was still more rapid then normal, but she did her best to hide how poor she was at sprinting as she had been doing.

The whole incident with the rider, horse and dogs had made the woman laugh with so much humour that she didn’t even think was possible. The rider had obviously yelled with anger at her dogs, the dogs of course did not respond to the strange woman’s threats, nor her commands. They mostly only responded to Lynx’s commands and so, it made the situation even more humorous. As Snipe and Shadow returned to her side, they seem pleased as punch with their small fun, their tails wagging as Snipe jumped up to receive a pat from Lynx. A pat which she gladly gave, making sure to rub the dog’s ear as it seemed to be a sweet spot that he loved so much. Once she had done that and the dog had jumped down, the both of them falling into step on either side of her form and Lynx silently approached the stranger, coming to a stop a couple of feet away from her.

The young ethaefal watched as the strange woman rose to her full height and straightened a piece of material, whatever it was. Lynx took a silent note of the rapid breathing from the run and a soft chuckle rose to her lips as the two dogs promptly moved to sit themselves on either side of their owner. The moment that the question was heard, she angled her head and looked to Snipe, the black silkena dog with the white blaze trailing down the front of his face, before glancing at Shadow, who was just a straight black. Her violent hues lifted to take in the woman’s posture, noting the hands on the hips and the smirk soon returned to her lips as she lifted a hand which had scales upon the back of it, gently shimmering a pastel colour as she brushed back her white hair from her pale face. Normally, she wasn’t out and about during the day, preferring to remain inside her room or within the library, however she had made an exception due to her frustration and impatience building with her work. Snipe lifted his nose to press to her leg as she gave a nod of her head. ”Well I would hope that they were my dogs, otherwise I may just have to have a talk with the person that I bought them from.”

Silently, she lifted a hand to gently run it over Snipe’s head, the dog’s tongue sliding out the side of its maw as it panted. Shadow was more focused upon the woman in front of them, following her every movement like a loyal dog would do. Lynx’s hand slid to the Snipe’s ear, rubbing it as her gaze shifted to the woman. ”Aren’t they adorable? Very loyal.” Her smirk widened as she nodded her head in the direction of the horse that her dogs had been chasing, ”Is he yours?” She inquired as she would let go of Snipe’s ear the dog now completely satisfied, moved to lay down, his head settling onto his front paws, but his beady greens eyes were completely focused upon the woman in front of them. Lynx moved to straighten up her own form, the smirk still flitting across her lips as she spoke again. ”It seemed like you two were getting on quite well, although I’m still trying to decide as to whether you falling off of his back was a part of the act that you were practicing for, or whether it was a mistake on your behalf.” She angled her head then, lifting a hand to fold all of her fingers except for her index finger as she gently tapped at her chin, this giving off the appearance that she was pretending to think about her own words.

Thank the gods for sand (Lynx & Sheaya)

Postby Sheaya on September 16th, 2014, 4:01 am

Sheaya took in the towering woman's features, noting her white hair and pale eyes. She had heard of the Konti from travelers in the past when they shared her family's tents while wondering the desert, about the women who always birthed women with the exact same pale features. From just seeing those two features alone and not quite noticing the scales she had to wonder if she was one of those people as she had never seen or spoken with one before. They didn't seem to travel to the desert, or at least not that she had ever seen, but she had heard her uncles joke with her brothers by telling them that they would be seduced by a Konti if they were naughty boys. If she had thought back on that she would have had to agree with her uncle that it would have been possible as this woman did have very appealing features, and the fair skin and hair had always been a hit with the boys she had grown up with.

"The horse is mine."She confirmed with a small nod after glancing at the still unsettled horse who had taken to trying to find something to graze on in the sand. "Your dogs are very loud and annoying actually. Do they normally terrorize other people?" She held back no punches with her words, keeping her hands firmly on her hip bones as she spoke. She might have been the shorter one here, but she would stand like a woman twice her size, making her thoughts known as she saw no need in holding back her honest opinion, especially now when she saw this particular case harmful.

She glanced at the dogs once more with more bitter thoughts, knowing she would have to check her horse to see if they had hurt him any or if it was just mental trauma of being chased that had upset the steed.
" Barals... She called them in her native tongue, thinking them nothing more as monsters in the night save for the eye color. The one that kept staring up at her with the green eyes could have nearly given her chills if she had found him actually intimidating.

" I was practicing riding the horse, we're still new together. I did not intent to fall, that saddle is the problem." Her accent was lingering heavily in her common which was easier to hear the more she spoke, the words coming out rushed and certain vowels having more drawl to them then others. Sheaya lifted her gaze from the two dogs and read the pale woman's body language and realizing through that that she was being mocked. She felt a stab at her pride, insulted that this woman thought of her struggle as a joke rather then acting concerned or offering her assistance in righting the problem.
"Does this strike you as funny? That I fell off my horse and that your dogs harrassed my horse?"

Lynx listened to the stranger talk before she turned to her left and took a couple of steps, her arms looping back so then her hands could clasp behind her back. Patience had not been her strong suit of late and she had to wrestle with herself to ensure that she wouldn’t rush into this and so she paused looking out towards the sea. Her violet hues watched as the waves softly rolled up onto the beach before retreating, Syna was reflected off of the salty surface. She drew in a deep breath, the oxygen slowly expanding her lungs before she exhaled. A technique that she had developed during meditation to help still her thoughts, or in this case, to still the building impatience. Snipe and Shadow remained where they were, almost as if they knew that she wanted them to stay there. Her gaze continued to watch the waves as they rolled in, allowing the sound to wash over her, to calm her movements and her mind, for she needed to be one hundred percent focused upon her next task. ”Hm, loud and annoying huh?” She paused for a moment, giving off the appearance that she was thinking about the woman’s words, when in fact, she was preparing herself for the use of hypnotism.

She would draw upon her DJed and slowly layered her words with it, DJed that was layered with a hypnotic emotional response with an intent to induce shame. She would also use a chastising tone of voice as she spoke, turning to view the stranger. ”You say that my dogs are loud and annoying, yet you seem to bark like you one yourself.” She smirked then before her gaze drifted passed the woman to view the grey horse for a moment, more interested in looking for something to eat rather than its owner. She chuckled softly then as she angled her head slightly to the right, her gaze flickering back to view the other woman. She had to admit, using hypnotism upon the woman made her want to use the skill more often and she bit down upon her bottom lip then, before the smirk returned to her lips. It would appear that humour had indeed infected the woman, especially after their little stunt. ”Oh I can very much tell that you two are still very new, your mount hasn’t even bothered to come back to you, nor have you actually inspected your mount for any nips that my dogs may have gotten in.”

The lethafal would cross back to her dogs, gently resting a hand upon Shadow’s head, the dog that continued to stare at the strange woman. ”However, I find it mildly… amusing that you blame the saddle for your fall. When chances are, it is your incompetence at being able to actually put the saddle on.” Lynx had no knowledge of how a horse should be ridden, nor the process of how to put a saddle on a horse, so she wasn’t going to explain to the woman as to how someone might properly put a saddle on a horse. She just enjoyed taunting the woman, almost daring her to attack with the dogs present. She was mostly attempting to push the woman’s buttons to learn from it, to watch the body language and listen to the tones used so then she could better use her hypnotism in future circumstances. After all, no one got anywhere without practicing and learning, one just had to sometimes push other people to gather the desired knowledge. ”Indeed, I do find this funny, you falling off your horse, my dogs chasing your horse and the highlight of it all, is you blaming your saddle for incompetence.” She lifted a hand so then she could press it to her lips as she giggled, ”So yes, it is funny. I suggest that you get a job that entertains, for your bark is very entertaining.”

Thank the gods for sand (Lynx & Sheaya)

Postby Sheaya on September 17th, 2014, 6:30 am

"Yes, loud and annoying. Sheaya repeated after Lynx when she seemed to be musing over the words, "They yap too much, you should teach them to only do that is you have an intruder in your home." She instead suggested, as if it would make her words a little more gentle; after all it wasn't that she hated dogs, she was just irritated about these two in question. The fact that their owner acted as if she couldn't be bothered with an apology bothered her the most, she would have let the whole thing drop as long as the dogs owner would just acknowledge there had been a problem there in the first place. The longer the other woman took to process her though the deeper Shea's scowl grew.

It only took a moment for the DJed powered suggestion to settle in and work it's magic on the Benshira woman. The harshness in her features melted away at the accusation and a sense of shame washed over her, having no will power to fight off the Djed implanted emotion filling her and changing her thoughts.
"You're right..." She said slowly as she dropped the gaze of soft green eyes as that shame took root inside her, "I have been acting worse then your dogs, forgive me." She added, feeling abashed. Even after saying she had been wrong she felt no better, but she had no reason to believe she was being controlled to feel this way, that it was Djed in work here that spoon fed that emotion to her. Her tents she had lived with had never had Djed wielders, her family had only spoken of it in grand tales but never had spoken of what it felt like or the effects of the different branches of it or how to defend against it. She had been completely defenseless against the other woman's Djed.

Sheaya never caught the other woman's satisfied smirk or the simple fact that she found Shea's response to the control funny as she still had her eyes down cast. Thankfully the change in the conversation was shifting her away from the guilt of badmouthing the dogs, and restored some of her spirit to lift her eyes again.
"My horse is not trained to come back to me yet, and I very well have not had the chance to return to him to check." She spoke with a wave of her hands towards the horse who was still grazing on weeds that had taken root in the sand. "He has been scared and deserves respect and space." She gave a small scoff and rolled her eyes, feeling once more irritated by this other woman. "Ugh, Rakva.

A breeze moved the air once more with a chill, drawing attention to the facet that the days were drawing closer to winter. Shea tightened her shawl around her arm once more, trying to keep the goosebumps down, but if this woman kept up her insults she could easily just keep the Benshira's blood boiling from listening to the inconsiderate ignorance.

"Are you a horse expert and know how to put on the saddle?" She asked as she raised her arch shaped eyebrow questioningly, not standing for taking any flack from this woman who had her on the defensive. "Please, since you appear so wise about the saddle, go show me how I was suppose to put it on, mount, and ride Horse." She gave another hand gesture towards the horse with a roll of her wrist as to dramatize her point. The giggling of the pale woman was starting to really get on her nerves, and she felt ready to knock down this other woman mocking her a few levels. "Go on, go. I want to see this, I want to see dog girl teach me how to put on the saddle and ride as suppose to. She requested, wanting to see if this woman was putting her mouth where her mizas were or just blowing hot air; something she would not be as forgiving for.

As the other woman tried to get Lynx to show her how to put the saddle on and ride a horse, Lynx couldn’t help but burst out in laughter. Her hands curled around her form as she doubled over with this laughter, her violet hues closing. Snipe sat up then, his tail wagging as he looked up at his owner, his ears also pricked forwards at this. Shadow glanced at Lynx, only to look back at the stranger. After a good moment of just pure laughter, the lethafal straightened up, brushing back her white locks as she attempted to stifle her laughter. Indeed, this stranger before her was trying to better herself by trying to prove herself better than someone else. Lynx pretended to wipe away a tear as a smile graced her lips, her gaze glimmered and reflected the humour that she felt within. Oh this walk was indeed proving to be enlightening, for it helped her burn off a bit of frustration at least. She would then hold up both of her hands as the smirk fell into place upon her lips. ”Oh dear Leth, do you know how childish you sound right now?” DJed was channeled into her presence's aura, pushing forth a hypnotic subliminal suggestion to the woman, maybe I am being a little childish.

Lynx began to feel a little tired after using the hypnotism and she decided that that would be the last she would use the skill for the moment, although it was tempting to keep using especially seeing as the lethafal had managed to make the stranger feel shame. She had known when it had originally worked, because the woman’s eyes had dropped and she had promptly asked for forgiveness. No one spoke to Lynx about her dogs like the strange woman did, Snipe and Shadow were like her children and no one bad mouthed her children. Slowly, she drew in another breath, almost as if she was appearing to calm the humour that had originally welled up inside. ”I won’t show you how to saddle and ride your horse, because I know where my talents lie and riding is most definitely not one of them.” She paused for a moment to run a hand over Shadow’s head her violet hues watching the dog that seemed to always be constantly watching the woman before them. ”I just find it somewhat funny, that you could blame a saddle for your fall. I mean, if your…” She waved her free hand above her own head as if indicating to the woman’s shawl. ”Thing there, blew off, are you going to blame the piece of material for falling off your head? Or are you going to blame the wind for blowing it off?”

She paused for a moment as her gaze then shifted to view the woman, ”Or are you going to accept the fact that you should have perhaps tightened it around your head?” The woman angled her head to the right, ”Human error, I think is the term for it. Personally, I find it silly that people would blame a natural occurrence for blowing something off of their head. What do you think Shadow?” The straight black silkena dog that had been like a statue for the better part of the whole event, stood up and gave a yap in response, his green eyes staring up at Lynx as he wagged his tail. The woman giggled and gave the dog a pat upon the head before he moved to sit back down again. She had been trying to teach the dogs that trick for a good month, but half the time they had scattered and been more interested in each other and their play. So for him to speak when she had asked ‘What do you think?’ Was a small achievement that she was proud of, although she was fairly certain that he wouldn’t do it again, for his gaze had drifted towards Snipe. Lynx then angled her head to Shadow as she smirked, her gaze clearly focused upon the stranger, ”See? Even Shadow agrees with me.”

Thank the gods for sand (Lynx & Sheaya)

Postby Sheaya on September 18th, 2014, 8:07 pm

"Yes, loud and annoying. Sheaya waved her hand to dismiss the other woman at her laughter, seeing her as a waist of her time. This woman was just trying to make a mockery of her and she did not see her as beneficial for her to be dealing with, this pale woman was apparently just a very bored individual desperate to find something to laugh over and was using the first person she ran into.
"If you have nothing constructive to criticize then you are welcome to go, I have no time for people just to make mockeries of other people." She waved off.

She folded her arms across her chest and shifted her weight to one leg so her hip popped a little bit, waiting for the white haired woman to go, giving a roll of her eyes at the childish comment. She would have just ignored the comment as she normally wouldn't take any stock in the words, but there was something in her that made the words echo in her head; was she being being childish? She had to pause and once more her confidence etched features crumbled away with that moment of doubt as she lowered her gaze once more in thought. She didn't verbalize her thoughts this time, but that feeling lingered and added to some some extra concern on her mind that she would most likely have for the rest of this conversation.

"Perhaps if you know it is a subject you are not strong in, then don't preach on it or mock for the ones trying." She suggested, being a little nicer with her phrasing now in hopes it would appear a little more mature, "If you have something to suggest say it, but do not laugh if you can not do any better."

She listened to what was being said by the pale woman, not understanding what the issue was here with what she had said. Had the woman not seen what she had experienced? The saddle had not stayed on as she had said, it had slipped off and slid her off with it. Perhaps there had not tightened the saddle on correctly, but it was what slid. The rest of the speech and even the dog trick were lost on her as she was too focused now on just trying to understand why this woman was so insistent that the hardware on the horse was not the issue here, never realizing she was misunderstanding the concept here.

"How is it a natural occurrence? If it is intended to stay in place and then id doesn't that would not be natural. If the saddle is suppose to stay in place and hold me, it is suppose to do that. If my shawl blows off, that is not natural as it is suppose to stay on." Once again she motioned to the horse to draw focus to how the saddle was hanging on. "I fell off because of the saddle, it is sideways so I fell off it. I blame the saddle because it did not do what it was suppose to." She explained as calmly as she could, taking it easy on the attitude as she was curious if that was what made her feel so unusual speaking to this woman. She wasn't trying to come off ignorant that she wasn't catching onto the point as intended, but this and the woman was frustrating her and she wasn't realizing her understanding of the common tongue was what was confusing her on this. In her eyes the saddle falling off was not natural like the wind blowing off her shawl. She had tightened it as she had understood she was suppose to, like she did with her shawl after all. The saddle was suppose to stay on, but it didn't. What was this woman meaning that she was in the wrong?

Lynx could no longer help the laughter that once more returned, the laughter erupting from the inside and bubbled to her lips. Her arms laced around her stomach and she doubled over, not for the first time that day. During this encounter with this woman, she had laughed more often than she had expected to, especially seeing as she had originally been frustrated. When she had first started out on her journey to the beach, she had expected that some kind of calm from the sound of the waves would help her find some kind of happiness. Never did she expect to run into someone who was as stupid as they appeared to be. The stranger just couldn’t seem to be able to blame herself for her own actions. Now, Lynx wasn’t an expert on saddles, but to stay on the horse, it would have to be tied on somehow wouldn’t it? If it was then tied on, wouldn’t it have to be tied on tight so that it wouldn’t fall off? Snipe and shadow jumped up, to dart around their mistress before running off towards the gently rolling waves. Shadow plunged into the waves first, like normal, as he was generally the fastest out of the two. He snapped at the waves, while Snipe soon joined in on the fun.

The lethafal soon straightened up her posture, brushing back her white hair, her violet hues watched the black dogs for a moment, a gentle smile curving her lips. Ah yes, she had almost forgotten about the entertainment that her own dogs were able to provide her. The loyal beasts were always bringing a smile to her lips, whether it be Shadow and his small little adventures or Snipe, cozing up to her for pats and to rest his head upon her lap. They were the opposites of each other and it humoured her to say in the least. Lynx would never regret the mizas she spent on buying them. She angled her head as her violet hues flickered to view the woman to the right of her. This woman was ignorant, she most definitely could not find fault in herself, it was as if she thought that she was so perfect that if something happened, it was most definitely not her fault. Those type of people tended to irk Lynx something shocking and she hated it with a vengeance. Why couldn’t people just realize that they were the problem? The ethaefal was beginning to realize that no matter what she said, the stranger’s head would remain buried in the sand. While she did feel the pull to use more hypnotism upon the stranger, she could also feel the tired feeling, pulling at her was well.

Angling her head, she turned her gaze back to her dogs, watching them as they darted away from the waves to run back over to the horse, their tails wagging as they barked at the horse. A giggle rose to her lips as she shook her head, they were very persistent. ”Snipe! Shadow! Come back here, that’s enough!” Shadow gave one more bark directed towards the horse before the two ran over towards her, circling her form before sitting back on their haunches, their tongues rolling out to the side of their maws as they panted. To Lynx, they appeared to be mocking the girl themselves, but she couldn’t be too sure, for she couldn’t read the minds of the animals, even though she had found on numerous times that she wished she could. Lifting a hand to rest upon Shadow’s head, she angled her head to the side, before a shrug of her shoulders was given. ”I can see that there is no point in trying to get you to see the error in your logic, for you would rather that your head remains buried in the sand.” A smirk would curve her lips then, as she looked back towards the city. ”I have a job to do, one that does not involve trying to reason with someone who is too bull-headed to see.”
