Birthday: 54th day of Spring 500 AV.
Birthplace: Eyktol
Appearance: Mahkah is short compared to the other members of his family by two inches standing at 6"1, he weighs 200 lbs which doesn't show. Instead, what one sees is a muscular build.
His skin is bronze in color, nearing a reddish hue and his dark, glossy black hair falls down to his mid back adorned with feathers and beads of different colors. His eyes are black but seem to twinkle happily.
Mahkah is almost always in a permanent fixation of happiness which is shown by an ever present smile and joking manner.
Character ConceptMahkah is quite a happy person. He is forever smiling merrily walking through his tribe spreading his joy and is known for increasing everyone's mood. Around the fire at night, he is quite pleased to tell story after story, some are in a joking manner and others are tales that have been passed down and he has inherited from his uncle.
When he isn't merrily passing through town, Mahkah is sitting with his aunt whom he lives with and soaking in all that she has to teach him. His love for nature and tracking in general came from his aunt who sat sewing beads onto a string for him and spoke of all that she knew.
A man who doesn't want to be a hunter is a rare find, however, Mahkah doesn't believe in not hunting, he just prefers to do other things. Naturally his brother and uncle have dragged him out to learn hunting and riding a few times, but never has he ever learnt enough to be considered an expert or even intermediate in the skill.
Character HistoryMahkah was brought into the world and as a gift, his mother died upon his arrival. His father, dead before he had even come, Mahkah knew very little about him.
As an orphan, Mahkah was moved from house to house, or rather tents to tents, with his many uncles and aunts. Each time one could no longer take care of them, they were moved to another aunt or uncle.
When the boy was five, he moved into his uncle Ataup's house. The man took an immediate liking to Kohana, Mahkah's older brother, taking the child under his wing. Mahkah felt left out on many occasions, but he found a place with his aunt to feed that craving for an adult figure in his life.
He immediately took to religion and medicinal possibilities. Mahkah understood that this was his passion at age eight.
When he was nine, his brother went off, isolated, to find a guardian. With the lack of his uncle's favorite "son", Mahkah was chosen to fill the spot and his uncle attempted to gain his interest in hunting and riding. Though he was able to control a horse and kill an animal after two tries, Mahkah wasn't an expert and wasn't about to become a wonder in the subject.
When his brother returned, it was a huge relif to the young boy as his uncle was once again busied.
When Mahkah was fifteen, he went off to his own isolation and after many terrible nights in which he believed he would die, Mahkah believed that it was Makutsi who allowed him not to dehydrate and Eywaat who helped him through his hunger and sustained his bravery.
Mahkah came back a changed man and by the time his brother approached him at age 19 with the crazy idea to go away from the tribe, he was ready.
