Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

FALL, DAY 10, 13TH BELL
The cool autumn air was fresh and crisp. The smell of trees were peaceful to the overworked knight in training. He was getting a bit stir crazy, being coped up training all day for a week or so. Training to become a knight was hard, but he wouldn't want to change it for anything. Though he hates staying in one place for too long, and eventually he would want to be stationed in another city.
The leaves cracked underfoot as the muscular squire walked through the woods. The Yukman he fought earlier this season was a tough fight, and he ended hospitalized for the rest of the day and maybe a bit more. Usually Yukman traveled in groups, and he was a bit worried that there were more, but the knights reassured that there weren't any more Yukman about. Though he wanted to make sure and have a reason to get out.
He felt like he was being watched though. The feeling was unnerving, like something in the trees. He moved cautiously but never daring to look up or turn his back in case he's actually being followed through the woods, and he feels like there really is.
He had to admit, after his riding and archery training earlier with his patron for half the day was exhausting, he wasn't at the top of game, and he didn't want to ride his way here with his horse. Since he was the wildest horse in the stables, and he did not want to get juggled around a horse's back all day.

Small bear-like creature was sitting perched on a thick branch of a small tree. The leaves on the tree were hiding her from view in case someone or something appeared among the bushes. The creature, Morgan the Kelvic in her animal form, was breathing hard from her previous run.
She had been running through the forest for the whole morning – jumping, climbing and searching for food. Although she was more of a night creature, sometimes she enjoyed the daylight.
A while ago, a noise had startled her, like snapping of a twig, so she quickly climbed on a nearby tree, which was quite small, but Morgan was grateful even for that. She was quite small and the leaves were dense so it would hide her quite well.
She crouched down so that she was almost lying flat on the branch and waited. There came a rustle of leaves from a bush below her and she looked at it, ready to flee. Another shake of the bush and…out came a small brown bird, carrying something in its beak, completely unaware of the anxious creature above it.
Morgan breathed a sigh of relief, then carefully stood up and, with the help of her claws, she scrambled up on one of the higher branches. It was thinner than the lower one, so she had to be more careful not to slip, because it was slightly moist and therefore slippery.
There she lay down, throwing her legs on either side of the branch as if embracing it and closed her eyes, feeling safe in the tree. |

His caution was misplaced as a brown bird flew pass his head, he was startled and instinctively drew his sword and stumbled into a tree hard. Then something fell from tree and into a bush. It looked like a small red animal of some sort. He sheathed his sword and rubbed his head from hitting the tree.
He walked over to the bush to check if the small animal was alright. He pushed the branches of the bush apart and then peered in. There laid a small red striped animal, it didn't look hurt but he couldn't be sure. It looked like a red panda, he had heard about these things, they were rare, and if he did injure this cute creature he would feel really guilty.
He poked the little red panda to see if he'd react or she'd react, he wasn't sure about gender. It looked like she was breathing, so that's good. "Sorry about that. You alright?" He picked her up gently, it was really nice and soft, but since Garland had gauntlets on, he couldn't feel it it very well, but he could tell from the fur.

Her peace was disturbed when the tree jerked hard. The tree branch, where Morgan was resting was very thin, so when the tree jerked, the branch started to sway up and down and to the sides and before Morgan could sink her claws into the wood, she found herself tumbling to the ground even though she was flailing her front paws repeatedly in front of herself, which must have looked very comical, to try to catch the branch and stop her fall.
But the fall was inevitable and she hit the ground rather hard, but she was grateful for the grass and bushes under the tree that slowed her fall so that she didn't hurt herself.
And before she could run away, a hand poked her. 'Ouch!' That was quite painful and she turned her head, ready to bite the person who did that, but then the hand grabbed her and lifted her from the ground. She struggled a bit, but then gave up and looked who it was.
It was a man. Looked like a soldier. She struggled a bit more and then the man spoke. He spoke in a gentle manner and looked like he was concerned. So he wasn't dangerous, or was he? Was he the one that threw her of her resting spot? 'Well, if so, he’s right feeling guilty,' she thought, irritated.
The man certainly didn't know who she was. What she was. 'If that's true, he is in for a surprise,' she thought mischievously, her long furry tail moving from side to side slowly.
She once again started to struggle in his hand, hoping that the man would take the hint and put her on the ground. She didn't like being held like this. |

He smiled at the adorable little red panda. It seemed like she wanted to get off of her unexpected ride. Though Garland wondered about this one in particular, he did know of a red panda that frequent the orphanage a year ago or so, he wondered if this was the same panda.
He carefully and gently placed her on the ground. "Alright, seems like you wanna get going. I ain't gonna stop you..." He paused and looked at the tiny red panda. "I'm taking to a panda." He sighed a bit. "Its not like you can understand me."
He sat down beside the tree he accidentally hit earlier. He had a small rucksack that had a few necessites, a water bottle, a few medical supplies and a cloak and jacket to keep warm if he needed to. He took out the water bottle and unscrewed the cap and took a long sip. The woods were filled with sounds of birds and insects, a nice contrast from that other time he went into the woods.

As soon as the man put her down, she ran away a few metres to put distance between them and then she stopped and turned to show the man that she wasn’t going to run away. Although he seemed nice, she didn’t trust him that much yet, so she kept eyeing him carefully, as he reached into his bag and took out a water bottle and began to drink.
She thought about giving him a good scare, so without further thought, she shifted back to her human form in front of the soldier. Naturally, she was completely naked.
She had hidden her clothes under one of the rocks near the edge of the forest before her trip and she planned to retrieve it when she would be returning back to the city. It was too far from the place where she now was and she didn't want the man to escape so easily.
Walking around naked was natural to her, but she knew from experience that people were uncomfortable when seeing her like that. 'Serves him right for disturbing my rest,' she thought slyly.
She crossed her arms on her chest, trying to look angry and said accusingly: “You threw me off that tree.” |

Garland spat out the water he was drinking onto the ground. He paused and blinked his eyes, blushing a bit. "S-Sorry I was just, I mean... I wasn't looking!" He fumbled with his words, he had been on both sides of the law before, but he had never seen a naked woman before so naturally as a teen he was flustered.
Idiot, she's a Kelvic, this is how she naturally looks, don't act like its weird for both of you. He thought to himself as he stood up, trying to hide his blush.
Though something about this Kelvic seemed familiar. He shook the thought away, and grabbed his rucksack. He pulled out his coat and jacket inside said sack. "H-Here." He offered the coat and jacket. "I'm Garland, nice to meet you."

Morgan watched gleefully as the young soldier spat out his water, blushed and looked uncomfortable when she shifted in front of him. She smirked and then tried to look still angry, which was quite hard. A smile threatened to appear on her face.
“Oh, I am so sorry, mister.” she said sarcastically. “Did I scare you?” When he started to search through is bag and took out a jacket and a coat, she looked at it, again trying to look confused and then, as if she only then noticed, she looked down at herself and exclaimed in a surprised voice:”Oh, that’s very kind of you, thank you!” Then she chose the coat and put it on.
She was looking at him for a few moments. Finally, she wasn't able to keep her face straight any more. She burst out laughing and said in her normal voice:”No, really, sorry. I did it on purpose for, you know, throwing me off that tree. It was you, wasn't it?" She looked around quickly, but then settled her eyes back on him. "You should have seen yourself. The look on your face!” She put her hands on her knees and laughed hard for a moment.
There was still laughter in her dark eyes, when she calmed down. “Ah, nice to meet you, Garland. My name is Morgan.” She grinned, then cocked her head to one side, studied his face for a moment and looked curious.“Haven’t we met?” |

Garland rubbed his blush away, and laughed a bit with her. He took back his jacket and folded it back into his rucksack. "Pleasure to meet you. W-What are you doing in the woods anyway? Do you live here?" He asked and got up from the ground.
He wiped off some of the water he was drinking earlier. "Hmmm You do look familiar. But I can't place my finger on it." He looked closer at her face, the dark eyes, red hair, the small nose and the fact that she can turn into a Kelvic, a red panda at that.
"Did you say your name was Morgan? Hmmm were you born in Syliras per chance?" He asked and unslung his bow from his other shoulder, some of the younger squires would say he's over prepared, but his mentor drilled the lesson of being over prepared is better than being under prepared. "You were... In the orphanage last year, correct?"

Morgan was still grinning at his slowly fading blush, and then she replied. “I don’t live here, of course. That would be silly, wouldn't it?“ She shook her head and ran her hand through her long hair, which got a little bit tangled from her earlier antics.
She leaned her left shoulder against a nearby tree, feeling a bit tired. Being awake for such a long period during the day was not usual for her. The usual routine was running around and foraging mainly at night and then sleeping for the most of the day, although today was a bit different. She was awake much longer than usual and she wanted to curl up on a tree and sleep. Sadly, Garland had disturbed her intended nap.
She yawned and then answered his questions. “No, I live in the city.“ She motioned vaguely towards the direction of Syliras. “And no, I wasn’t born there. Probably.” She muttered, shrugged and looked down, suddenly interested in an ant that was crawling beneath her feet, feeling embarrassed. She wasn't very interested in discussing this topic with a stranger, but then he asked about the orphanage.
She looked up at him suspiciously, feeling awake and alert at once. “And what if I was?” She frowned at him. She eyed him warily, as he took off a bow from his shoulder and held it in his hand. “Are you going… hunting?” She asked uncertainly and took a few slow steps backwards, ready to run in case he wanted to hurt her. |
