Phymriszoszem (Zoszem) Appearance Race: Dhani (Constrictor) Gender: Male Age: 115 Birthday: Summer 62nd, 399 AV Birthplace: Zinrah, Falyndar Appearance: Zoszem is a virtual behemoth, much like the rest of his kin. In human form he towers at 6'4'' and weighs a full 250 lbs. He is broad-shouldered and large with visible muscle and a toned physique. Uncharacteristically pale for a Dhani, however, his skin is almost ghastly in the dark underground of Zinrah and this spreads to his nigh on platinum blonde, short hair. His face sports strong and sharp features like a protruding, square chin and pronounced cheekbones, a firm forehead and brow above a pair of narrow, clear-blue eyes. As a snake Zoszem follows the behemoth theme and has grown to his full length at just shy of 45 feet, a heavy and long reptile with a strong body. His coloring follows the unusually pale theme with his calico pattern; white scales under his belly and an uneven pattern of grey, black, brown and dark red scales atop his back and head. In his Dhani form he measures just shy of 22 feet between snout and tail and his bright colouring from his snake form persists. His face is littered with black and dark brown scales, however, framing in his bright blue, slitted eyes. Snake Information : This character has been patterned after the Reticulated Python. General Description: A very large breed of snake that generally inhabits dense jungles and prey on the wildlife using ambush tactics, hiding themselves away in the vegetation with the help of their camouflage-coloured scale patterns. Considered dangerous due to their aggressive behaviour and lethality when they attack. Length: On average between 10-20 feet, though can grow as long as 22,8 feet. Weight: Around 150-165 lbs, fully grown. Coloring: Dark brown to yellow with shifting patterns and brightness in coloring. There are some unusual combinations like white snakes, albinos, yellow tiger patterns and calico pattern. Fangs: About 100 teeth, curved back into the mouth used to grip and hold prey while pulling it into the mouth for swallowing it whole. Disposition: Unreliable and very individualistic. A general tendency seems to be aggression and defensive suspicion, though some specimen are more docile. Diet: Mammals and rodents, though they're known to be able to swallow prey up to a quarter of their own length and up to their own weight, making humans and humanoids valid prey. Defenses: The garish colouring and patterns in the diamond-shaped scales serve as excellent camouflage in a jungle setting and serve to hide the snake from other predators and conceal them from their prey. Venom: The Reticulated Python doesn't have any natural venom. Character Concept Zoszem is a quiet and reclusive man, first and foremost. He finds himself questioning the fate of his kindred and their place in the world and has turned his back on Siku, paying his respects to Caiyha as the mother of all nature and its creatures instead. Having been born into a nest that is always surrounded by their enemy, making their very homes dangerous and unsafe to those who live there, he has lost faith in the system that rules the Dhani race and has little respect for his fellow kindred as a result. His goals always tend towards the perserverence of his kin, though his methods and ideas differ from the majority in that his ideal society is radically different from how the Dhani of Zinrah live their lives today. None of this makes it to the surface, as the contemplative Constrictor knows better than to openly question the reign of his Queen and the traditions established by their mother, Siku. It's just a matter of time, and he's biding his very carefully. Character History This Dhani's past is largely unremarkable, having spent most if not all of his life in Zinrah and the surrounding jungle. He never ventured too far outside beyond the times he had to accompany his sisters and brothers to hunt. The rest of his time was spent honing his strength to pursue his goal of virtual invincibility. This could not be achieved through raw power alone, however; Zoszem realized this early on when in a close encounter with the Myrians of Taloba. The unnatural feats of battle that he witnessed have since then made him utterly obsessed with the idea of complementing his natural strength as a Dhani with the use of Djed; a resource that existed in and around him all along but that too few of his kind tapped and took advantage of. Determined to develop his physique and technique to prove to himself and his people that they could become ever stronger and harness these methods to one day burst out of their underground prison, Zoszem studied a variety of magic disciplines alongside his rigorous physical exercise and continues to do so to this day.
