Svefra Oceanus Gnosis

Hello!

I was reading through the lore and rules and saw that Svefra are usually born with a Gnosis mark, and also that for a pre-50 post Gnosis, it should have a story outlining how they received it. Does that also include the Svefra? If it does, that would be a story around his birth, correct?

Svefra don't need to write a story in order to get their gnosis: they'll be approved for an Oceanus mark automatically, as a cultural perk. However, you do still need to submit a request for the gnosis mark to the Help Desk to make it "official", so that it can be approved and added to your Storyteller Secrets thread.

Also, if you submit your Character Sheet for approval before your request has been processed by the Help Desk, make sure to pop a quick note on your CS so that when it's getting checked over, they know you've taken all the necessary steps.

Okay, thank you! That does help. Is submitting a request for that simply starting a thread about it? Or something else?

I'll keep that in mind. Not sure how long before I finish the CS. I planned on it today, but classes kind of crushed me.

Sending a request is just saying, "I'm a Svefra, I would like Oceanus, because it's my Svefra birthright." , at least, for Svefra, Isur, and maybe some other one I can't think of.

This is true for Svefra, Isur, Konti, Iyvess and Myrian. And there a quiet a few races that are easy to get gnosis marks from their patron Gods through simple faithfulness (Benshira, Chaktawe, Symenestra, etc.). These can be gotten through a story about how you got the gnosis mark, submitted to the help desk before you reach 50-posts. All other gnosis marks must be gotten through game-play and you are only allowed to receive one pre-50-post gnosis (which included racial gnosis), before waiting a year to earn more in-game.

Okay, thank you! That clears things up very well. I'll go do that while I keep tinkering with the character sheet.

I do request it by starting a thread in the help desk, correct?

Yes. But, all it has to say is, "As a Svefra, can I please have the Gnosis Oceanus?"
