“Lately I’ve been starting in the late afternoon or early evening,” she answered. “I mean, there are customers for lunchtime and also just to socialize, but for the most part I’m not the type of entertainment they’re looking for. Instead I earn my way by staying out really late. And getting those folk to keep their mugs full and drink heartily away.” She paused, trying to remember what time it was when they had left The Bean. “There’s still time enough if you’d like to stay a little longer. But I’m getting hungry.”
She gave him a brief peck on the cheek and then got up to rummage inside the large chest. She pulled out two modest sized buns and offered one to Garland. “They’re a bit stale. Usually I’ve been eating at the tavern since I don’t cook much. But these I got from the bakery a few days ago.” She took a bite of her own and a bunch of crumbs fell onto her top. Brushing them away, she leaned forward so as not to face the same problem for the second bite. “If you’d like, we could head over a bit early and I can show you around. Though you’ve probably already been to the Rearing Stallion – having lived here all your life.”
OOCTada, we did it. Got all the posts up.
