Had another weekend of flying. It was interesting to say the least! It had rained on Friday night here, making the ground a bit soggy. For some reason we didn't think it was that bad and ended up going down a level B road with a truck and trailer. It was NOT a good idea! We managed to get down the mile long road as we went to get the balloon from a nearby field but it took quite awhile. After the long struggle we were packing up the envelope of the balloon and noticed that there were two huge rips in the fabric. We managed to scramble out to a family friends place who actually has a company building hot air balloons. He was about an hour away from where we were, so we drove out there and he blessedly patched up the holes so that we could finish giving our sponsors their rides for the weekend. Saturday night we did night glowing. Sunday we were hoping to fly but the winds were really brisk so we decided to sit it out and not risk ripping the seams on the repairs.
It's kind of difficult to get pictures of the balloons while your working so it was nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the view so I took some more pictures for you guys!
