”Ready to go?”

Sayana smiled and then moved forward to give him a kiss on the lips. “Now, I’m ready,” she replied and reached out to take his free hand in one of hers. It was still rather chilly out, and she adjusted his jacket about her shoulders before walking briskly down the street with him. Her apartment wasn’t too far now. “Ten gold,” she repeated with a chuckle. “You’re not one to skimp on your drink. But for a good glass of wine… Oh! I don’t really have much in the ways of glassware. Just a simple cup for water. Not all that classy…” A faint blush coloured her rich brown skin. “I don’t usually have guests, but then there’s also the bottle itself. Nearly there.”

She turned into the entrance of the castle complex and began leading the squire through the winding hallways. At last they reached her apartment door. She opened it for Garland and said, “I’ll need to get some candles lit and the fire going, but make yourself comfortable.”

He smiled when she had kissed him. "Its not about the glass, its about the drink." He smiled when she had blushed. "You know, you look cute when you blush. Anyway at least we are getting out of the wind soon."

As soon as they made it inside, he felt the warmth from the torches that lined the walls of the complex. He gave a small sigh, it was warmer, but it was still very cold since it was well into the middle of the night and the middle of the fall season.

When they finally made it to the apartment, Garland placed the wine bottle on the table, he saw two wooden cups and made sure they were clean, and placed them on the table.

Sayana recalled her sweet young days when her blushes were not a rarity. She gave a soft smile in return to his comment. When they got to the apartment Sayana grabbed the candle from the side table and dug out a second candle from her chest. She went into the hallway and lit them both, then placed them on the table with the wine. She looked at the single chair with a smile. How ill-equipped she was for company. “Once I get the fire going we could move the table closer to the bed. I don’t have a second chair.”

She took off his jacked and placed it on the back of the chair before going to get the fire going. Not sure how long he’d be staying, she used several of the thicker pieces so it would last a while. After topping it off with some medium pieces and kindling in the center, she went into the hallway to grab a torch and light the fire. The Eypharian smiled happily at her work as the fire crackled in the hearth and produced a nice warm glow to the room. “Should start getting warmer here,” she said as she replaced the torch and closed the door behind her. “The table?” She pulled out the chair and put the wine bottle on it, and the other items she doubted would fall as they moved the table.

He helped with the table, moving it closer to the bed. He gave a smile and sat on the bed. "Well, this is cozy, not fancy. I hate formal events, this seems more my taste, good wine, great girl, warm fire. It makes me feel happy." He smiled and grabbed the bottle. "I'm gonna open the bottle now." He grabbed the corks and pulled it out. He poured the wine into her cup and then to his.

"There, that's good." He sighed as the warmth of the fire was getting more comfortable, and then the thunder drummed outside, followed by the pitter patter of the rain. "Well... The rain means I won't be going home unless it lightens up."

He took his cup and raised it to a toast. "Cheers! Thank you for inviting in. It'll be nice staying with a friend."

Sayana sat down on the chair across from him and raised her own cup. “Cheers!” She said with a smile and took a long sip of the wine. Now that’s more like it. A shiver of pleasure ran through her and she set the cup down, not wanting to go through it too quickly. “It amazes me how much it can rain up in the north,” she commented at the rumble of thunder and the patter of rain. “And then it all washes down the streets and into the sea.” She took another sip of the wine.

“Sometimes back home I’d go out and dance in the rain just to feel the cool droplets upon my face and the light trickle of water at my feet. It’s not quite the same here when it’s pouring down on you and you’re shivering from the cold.” She let out a laugh and finished the last of what was in her cup. “It’s nice to have a cozy place of my own though. Well, cozy when the fire is going. I’d like to add more to it. Maybe a rug, a bit more furniture, and some colour. I’ve hardly spent my time here since it’s always so damp and cold, and so colourless. You said you live in the squire dormitories? Is it your own or do you share? Company is also nice.”

"That's how we avoid floods, in summer, the rain was a blessing. Something to stop the heat but also to help the crops when it was just too dry." He smiled, thinking that he was going to stay here for the night. The hassle of being a squire was a bit much for him to take it all in, he would eventually get used to it, but right now he was still coping with it.

"Hmmm? Dance in the rain? Never thought of that before. I'll add to the things I'll eventually do list." He nodded that the room was very bare compared to the outgoing tenant of said room. "Shame that there aren't any windows here, I always loved looking out to the rain, but I understand why there aren't any windows here." He looked at the ground and the walls. "Would you need help with designing? Or setting up? You know, eventually. A nice velvet rug would look good here."

He thought about the room in his dorm. "I'm the only one in my room currently. Its just that no other squire was assigned to that yet. And I doubt anyone could stand my mess or the fact that I enjoy sleeping naked unlike other people. It really raised some concern in the orphanage."

”Would you need help with designing? Or setting up?”

“I’d be doing the designing of course,” Sayana replied. “But setting up… I could use a hand when I get a bit more furniture for this place. Otherwise I don’t see how I’d manage to carry something that big to my apartment. I was actually considering getting a second bed. It’d be nice to find a roommate so it’s not so empty and lonely when I get home.”

When he mentioned that he liked to sleep naked she laughed aloud. “Sleeping naked is the most natural way of things. Back home I had such lovely sheets and to feel them caress every inch of my skin… It can really put you to sleep quickly.” She gave soft chuckle and poured herself another cup of wine.

Then it dawned on her that he might not be planning to go home, having to go out in the rain and all. “How long are you planning to stay Garland? I only have one bed. And you made such a stink earlier when I took my top off.” She hadn’t forgotten about the earlier incident and she had tried to stay carefully aware of his boundaries since. She took another sip of her wine, but then frowned. The wine wasn’t going to be very helpful to her decision making either.

"A roommate? Well, it most definitely needs to be female then. I mean, you would drive any man crazy with your constant teasing, and you will need to keep one eye open every time you sleep... Not to mention that one could drug you if given the chance..." He decided to try and lighten up the mood by changing the topic. "Anyway, I think Saede is just staying at the inn, Herald Arms I think. She could be your roommate."

He sighed. "I just never felt comfortable sleeping in clothes, I would sleep in my undergarments but in the morning I would find them off on the floor. Again one of the reasons why people disliked me back then, it got much more awkward when they had to close off the girl's area due to refurbishments and we all had to share beds." He drank his wine and poured himself another drink. He already had a tiny blush from the drinking if nothing else from the night he was having. "Although, I do manage to control myself when I don't feel comfortable, like when I camped in the woods with a girl. I was always ready to wake up and fight if needed."

He took another small sip from his cup. "Huh? Oh, it was just from the shock of it. I would be fine now. Besides, I would probably pass out later, and I'll be fine with the floor." He downed another cup, giving a slight hiccup. "Excuse me. In fact, if you took your top off now, I wouldn't even notice, or at least try not to notice." He poured another cup of wine for himself. "And I say try to. Have you seen those things on your chest? They're huge! Excuse me."

Anyway, I think Saede is just staying at the inn, Herald Arms I think. She could be your roommate.

“Hmm, Saede. I was kind of thinking about her. She’s a nice enough woman and we’d probably get along quite well.” Sayana replied to his comment. “And I didn’t realize that she was staying at the Herald Arms. Maybe next time I run into her I’ll ask. I certainly don’t plan to have a male roommate.”

”Have you seen those things on your chest? They're huge! Excuse me.”

Sayana gave a laugh at his comment. “Oh I know my body well,” she answered with a smile. “And quite well endowed. In fact, I’d probably be rather offended if you didn’t notice.” Playfully she pushed her breasts together to accentuate her cleavage and then let them go again. When she saw that he had poured himself yet another cup she got up from her seat and joined him on the bed placing a hand gently on his wrist. “Are you that hasty to get yourself drunk?” She leaned in to kiss him on the lips. Then she let go of his arm to reach for her own cup and took a long sip from it.

Her low arm wrapped around his waist and she shifted to put her legs across his thighs wanting to cuddle up close. “My young innocent Garland,” she said as she ran her fingers through his hair. “What am I going to do with you?”

He smiled and kissed back. "I guess... A part of me just wanted to pass out as fast as possible. You know, people can't control themselves when they're drunk, and I barely think about what I'm saying right now." He blushed, though it wasn't noticeable because of his already apparent blush. He would take his time with his drink.

He gave a small smile when she ran her hand through his hair. "You can do whatever you want to me... See! I told you I barely think of what I say." He leaned in and kissed her neck while he wrapped his hand around her waist.

"Alright, beautiful~ would you like another drink?" He said. The warmth from the drink and from the fire was getting a bit too warm for Garland's taste, but Says a seemed comfortable in her position, so he didn't say anything, though he did move a little.

He tried to get his mind away from his discomfort, he thought about Saede. "She seems very dutiful, it might be a good contrast to you, it might tame this wild girl that's sitting on my lap." He smiled and took a small sip from his cup.
