The Mhakula Teahouse is a well-known establishment on Zintia Peak. Run by a family of expert tea makers and martial artists, it is famed for its delicious array of teas and treats, as well as for the underground lessons in unarmed.
Domed and gilded, this teahouse is settled farther away than the cluster of towers that usually surround Zintia Peak. It sits nestled on a large patch of land, surrounded by its own garden, easily noticeable from any position in the Surya Plaza. Statues of Zintila herself decorate the large garden, along with the occasional small gazebo; in nice weather, these small gazebos are usually outfitted with chairs for those who wish to enjoy the outside while they drink their tea.
Inside, the establishment creates an atmosphere of comfort. A server will lead the guest at any of the tables, cushioned with green fine wool pillows upon the seats. The walls made of the typical light stone of most Lhavitian homes, but intricate yellow designs have been painted on the walls to make the interior appear richer and warmer. Near the back of the building is a small room in which to brew tea. To the right of the entrance are the stairs leading into the lower chamber of the Teahouse; the training center for those wishing to study unarmed combat, or on some occasions, the dao sword.
The tradition of underground training lasts from the dark days. Although the Shinya are not terribly worried about the Mhakula Teahouse teaching the citizens of Zintia Peak combat, the tradition still lives. Atsuya will willingly teach anyone should they ask.
The Yhavao family runs the Teahouse and has been for nearly two hundred years. The proprietor, Guzo Yhavao, and his grandchildren all work diligently to give their customers the best tea and the best service. The Mhakula teahouse is not the largest teahouse on the peak by far, and there for all the tea is locally grown and brewed; the prices are slightly higher than elsewhere due to the attention, care, and effort Guzo puts into brewing the tea. Anybody who's had a cup will agree that the slight difference is worth it. For those seeking a restful mug, they can inquire to get either medical or narcotic herbs added to their tea for some extra Kina.

Atsuya is the granddaughter of Guzo Yhavao and notoriously, a very intimidating woman at that. She is widely respected for upholding the family honor and teaching skills the family has handed down for generations, although she may not be so good at tea as she is with her fists. Atsuya is known to be incredibly strict, with a fiesty attitude and a dictator's outlook on instruction. But she is incredibly effective, having several students mastering techniques in mere seasons. Publicly, Atsuya is known more for her care of the garden plants than her hand with the tea, but the calm medative state she adopts while gardening fools no one.

Name: Guzo Yhavao
Race: Human
Birthdate: 453 AV
Birthplace: Lhavit
Occupation: Owner and tea-brewer at Mhakula Teahouse
Skills: Botany - 55, Cooking - 50, Herbalism - 70, Medicine - 65, Philtering - 85, Rhetoric - 35, Unarmed Combat - 70, Weapon (Dao Sword) - 53

Guzo Yhavao is an old man bearing a wide grin on his face and a shock of grey hair. He trained hard under the guidance of his parents to brew the best tea in Lhavit, as well as in the art of combat. He once taught the practice, but since retired in 513AV because of age, and has passed the role onto his granddaughter Atsuya. Now he simply serves tea, engages in lively conversation with most of his patrons, and occasionally moves all the tables to one side of the domed establishment to allow an okomo to come in for a treat.

Menu
Black Tea
Cinnamon
Cocoa
Earl grey
Jasmine
Regular
Spiced
Vanilla
Black tea is highly oxidized, with a relatively high caffeine content. It has a strong flavour profile, lending itself to bold flavour additions. It is sometimes served with milk and/or sugar if requested (no extra charge).
Green Tea
Ginger
Jasmine
Lemon
Lotus
Mint
Regular
Green tea is less oxidized than black tea, with a moderate caffeine content. It has a strong flavour profile, but is more delicate and slightly more floral than black tea. It is said to have many health benefits, and is a personal favourite of Guzo's.
Herbal Tea
Blueberry
Chamomile
Elderberry
Ginger
Juniper berry
Lavender
Lemongrass
Mint
Rose
Rosehip
Strawberry
Herbal tea, in reality, is not really a tea at all; it has no tea leaves in it, and thus no caffeine, and flavours vary based on the ingredients. Herbal teas are brewed from fruits, herbs, and spices; despite not being an actual tea, it is incredibly popular due to its wide variety of flavours.
Matcha Tea
Peach
Regular
Vanilla
Matcha tea is a type of concentrated green tea that has been ground into a powder; it is traditionally served in a bowl, and whisked until frothy. Milk may be added upon request (no extra charge).
White Tea
Ginger
Jasmine
Peony
Regular
White tea is usually made from younger plants than other teas, and is the least oxidized, with a low caffeine content. It has a delicate, floral flavour profile that is easily overwhelmed; it is also very easy to burn white tea and turn it bitter if the water used to brew it is too hot, due to the delicacy of the leaves. Of course, this is hardly ever a problem for Guzo.
Guzo strongly believes in the true taste of tea, and so rarely crafts his own blends, instead sticking to the basics; however, up to 3 flavours can be blended together per type of tea upon request at no extra charge.
