Roth Windcarver Appearance Race: Svefra, Human Gender: Male Age: 26 Birthday: 51st Day of Spring, 488 AV Birthplace: On a beach between Sunberth and Zeltiva. Appearance: Standing at 5' 9" with deeply sun tanned skin and dark brown hair, Roth is lean and strong. A diet made up primarily of fish keeps him extremely lean, and he has various scars from several terrible sunburns, mostly on his arms and back. He keeps his beard trimmed but rarely clean shaven, and is almost never seen without his headscarf. Character Concept Roth has always looked up to the Svefra of legend, powerful sailors and fearsome pirates that ruled the seas all their lives. He’s trying to prove to himself and his family that he can be one of these legends, and one day wishes to hold the title of Scourge of the Sebakem Sea. He hopes that, before he dies, he’s able to prove to himself, his family and his Gods that he is worthy of their love and admiration. He’s extremely determined, thrives off of praise and stories, and will often do things simply because it will make a good story to tell later. He has a habit of overreacting and blowing things out of proportion while downplaying potential dangers he believes he can overcome with a mildly inflated ego. Character History Born on a sandy, cliffside beach between Sunberth and Zeltiva, Roth has spent his entire life at sea. Growing up in the Windcarver pod was no easy task, and he was seen as a “late bloomer” by many in his family. He was coddled because he showed potential to be great at the Svefra way, but did not learn as fast as many of the others. That is, until the age of 22. At 22 Roth had a sort of epiphany when listening to some of the stories of his elders. Listening to tales of the great Svefra pirates, he was filled with a desire to become the next great pirate and the Scourge of the Sebakem Seas. His learning became rapid at that point, having found a purpose and motivation, a goal which he had until that point not possessed. In late Summer a storm tore Roth away from his pod, his small ship The Waterwife lost somewhere in the Sebakem Sea. And that is where his story begins.
