Arima

Appearance

Race: Inarta
Caste: Avora Caste.
Gender: Male
Age: Eighteen
Birthday: 15, Winter, 496.
Birthplace: Wind Reach

Appearance: Arime is a muscular young man. He has long, rich crimson colored hair that when let down reaches his lower back. He usually wears it up, many thing braids combined in one pony tail. He always has one braid, stray from the rest, hanging over his shoulder with the secondary feather of his bonded Wind Eagle, Nuelle, weaved into it. His eyes thought are the most striking feature of him- they are an almost pure gold color. Uncommon for the Inarta Race, but not unheard of, he is one of the few who has these colored eyes.

For his race, he is tall. He stopped growing at 5'11”, weighing just over 150 pounds. His pale skin has very little visible marks except for a scar on his left forearm, from a knife fight he got in with another person in Wind Reach. He is always walking with an air of confidence, but also with ease and little formality.

Character Concept

Arima is an intelligent man with high ambitions, and a drive to prove himself. His lack of social status, due to the caste of his parent, always drove him to do more that anyone else- which tended to get him in trouble. His thirst not only for self-redemption, but also for recognition of the rest of the Inartas, has proven to be a dangerous thing. It brought him to try challenges from older Inartas that would most likely leave him to die- but he did his best. His insightful way of looking at each task helped him learn the big picture of each task, and he was able to develop plans. But even with such good insight, determination, intelligence, he was still stupidly brave. He risked his life many times, and without his Eagle companion he would have died on the last one.

His basic belief in life is “If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always been.” He takes it to heart, letting that control his way of life.

Character History

Arima was born of a Dek woman who stopped striving for something more. At one point the woman was of Avoran caste, a skilled blacksmith who had a good bond with her Eagle. But on a flight he Eagle died, and since she has never been the same. The only reason Arima knew this, was because he did stay with her for three years, until she passed away.

He was put with the other family-less children, going through the motions of learning the culture, learning the different skills available and so on. When he was seven, he was almost done with his Bendi when he stumbled across a Wind Eagle that was desperately injured. Forgetting all about his task, he looked for the wound and stopped the bleeding, before taking her to the community to get helped. He soon learned she was an unbonded eagle, and often found that in any freetime he had he would be watching her as she recovered, even giving her some of his food. One thing Arima noticed was that she had the same exact color eyes as him, and interesting fact someone else pointed out.

Nuelle is what he named her during the recovery- and she let him. Right before he was to move in the Yasi part of the city, he bonded with her, and she rarely left his side.

During his time in the youth section he found he was extremely skilled with weaponsmithing, and took a liking to it. He would spend extra time around the shops and would look at all the weapons created, studying them intently. He could be found with Nuelle, pointing at different weapons and asking her if she liked them. He was fascinated by them, so it was no surprise that he when he graduated from the Yasi class, he was by all means a weaponsmith. He interned with one of the forgers of the place for about a year before splitting off and do his own work, finding that his specialty lay with the talon sword.

But he never was truly satisfied with it. He always wanted more- he wanted to become part of the Endal status. So he still reaches for any challenge to come his way so he can prove himself- even if it's stupidly dangerous, and he is most likely going to die trying.
