Thir
Appearance
Race: Jamoura
Gender: Male
Age: 467
Birthday: 16th of Autumn, 47 AV
Birthplace: The Spires, Taldera
Location: Sunberth, Sylira
Appearance: Thir stands at a strong eight feet, healthy for a male Jamoura. He is somewhat old for his kind, but this doesn't bother him much. Age is of no matter. His fur is graying slightly on his back and his forearms, but he still has a lively demeanor to his appearance, yet stern and a bit haunting.
Character Concept
Thir, as most Jamoura do, loves learning. However, unlike most, Thir sees pessimism in almost everything. He accepts the concept of personal opinion of concept, and he also accepts his own. He was raised to love Caiyha, Eyris, and Qalaya, and so he does. But from Caiyha, he learned of Uldr. From Eyris, he learned of ignorance. From Qalaya, he learned of the forgotten. Forgetting is what he fears. For every possible positive, he knows that there is at least one possible negative to accompany it. Instead of most that he saw around him, Thir, instead of exploring this concept with loose interest and standoffish understanding, embraced it to understand it on a deeper level.
Character History
Thir, although he had existed for many years before, counts his conception as his true birth. He was born to two very knowledgeable Jamoura, respected within the community, just a few years after the Valterrian raised Marn and those around him. As a child, Thir was not the smartest of the (albeit, few) children around him, and progressed slower than they did. The wisdom shared with Thir made sense, but he felt as if he lacked the potential to truly understand it. He felt as if there was some unspoken side to what he was taught. When he reached the age of three hundred, he learned. To every yin, there was a yang. Feeling as if he couldn't learn enough from the teachers around him and feeling as if he had lacked experience, he left to learn of the seldom-spoken negative. He wanted to know how far the negative extends. Avoiding Ravok out of fear, Syliras and Zeltiva out of lack of what he was looking for, Thir set off to Sunberth to learn, surviving on his own and traveling with other groups when he felt it necessary. He took his time travelling, enjoying ever moment of his learning away from home. About ten years ago, 504 AV, Thir decided to finally conclude his outdoor learning to pursue his original goal. What he found was injustice, at best.
Thir discovered alcohol, drunken brawls, slavery, and poverty. He discovered injustice. Doing his best to keep mostly out of others' way and take everything in with an air of neutrality, Thir continued to observe, and as he continued to observe, his will to remain neutral began to die, slowly and yet surely. In the summer of 514 AV, Thir decided that is unethical to not do anything about the unjustices he saw, and is currently searching for a viable way to rid the people of this city of even a fraction of their trouble.
