Unfamiliar Streets (Nehsmay, Seliarus, Lelio, and Tohka))

[Nehsmay]

The gate was not too far from the place where they were at the moment and Nehsmay was fairly sure she knew how to get to it. She sighed in relief noticing what a good thing it had been that she had left Shadow at the stables... her poor, silly colt would have been scared to death, but everything that had happened. "So.." she tried to lighten upi the mood "You two got a job, huh? What kind of job." She knew she would have to get one as well as she needed more money than those she had. Afterall 100 mizas to travel the world isn't really a fortune. "What are we going to do after this?" She motioned towards the city walls in a distincitve manner and sighed, wondering what had possesed her to want to visit what was probably the most crowded place in Mizahar.

Nidassasyae visibly relaxed as the gates came in sight. With a sigh of relief, the leopard eagerly followed her companions forward. Realizing that all this time, Shade was gone, her brow creased. "Where's Shade?" she asked, looking around as if she'd spot him in the crowd. "Yeah, Sel got a piece of parchment that has scribblings on it. It's so he can audition with his flute at a tavern!" she said excitedly, reporting what had happened. "And I got directions to the butcher, so I can sell meat to him." The leopard shrugged. She didn't know what to do now that they had arrived here. She couldn't hunt yet, they were going to get the preserving stuff and sled tonight.

The Dhani followed the two, finally managed to regain his composure. Tilting his head aside, and slightly nodding at the Kevlic's statement, waving a piece of paper that was in his hand at her. 'The White Swan' was written on it, and where it was located, together with the names who he should ask. He looked around, making sure no one was around. "I'll...sssee what my luck brings." He forced a slight smile. "Or...We'll I'll just help Nida 'ere with hunting. Are you going to visssit the place asss well, Nehsssmay?" He asked, looking over at her. With her storytelling skills, Seliarus was sure she could get a place at a fireplace and entertain many people for hours.

"Do you two know...Where we will ssspend the night? In, or out of town?" He followed with his questions.

Nehsmay visibly relaxed as she made her first steps out of town. She sighed in relief as she left the gates a couple of meters behind her and answered Nidae in a happy voice. "I left Shade at the stables inside the city... he was skittish and he hated the crowds so I decided to leave him somewhere quiet as long as we remain in the city." She pondered and answered the second question."I think I'll search for the Employment Center as well... perhaps they have need of a storyteller." Where to spend the night... now that was a good question. She didn't want to spend unnecessary money, but she longed to fell the softness of a proper bed and mattress. "I don't know." she answered Seliarus' question. "Wherever works best for you guys I guess, I have no preferences." That was technically a lie, but she wouldn't be found dead admitting it out-loud.

Nidassasyae started giggling. "Even Shade hates the crowds!" Grinning from ear to ear, the leopardess shook her head. Everyone in this group seemed to hate cities, but they were on a journey to see lots of them! This made no sense! The Kelvic girl glanced at Nehsmay skeptically. From what little she had learned about humans when in Avanthal, she had figured out that they liked beds. Personally, Nidae thought beds were silly things, and quite easy to fall off of. But, she was the one who slept outside Nehsmay's tent, on the ground. She supposed she really couldn't be the one to talk. "You... don't want to sleep on a bed?" asked Nidae curiously, having thought that her friend would prefer a mattress. If the Vantha wished to sleep at Travelers Row, Nidae didn't mind. As long as no one tried making her sleep on a bed.

Nehsmay stopped in her tracks and frowned at Nidae. Sure she wanted to sleep in a bed, she loved a big, fluffy white bed much more than a tiny mattress on the ground, but she didn't want to make her friends unhappy. "I...yeah a bed would be nice." she mumbled "But the thing is going back into that crowded place where people hit you and push you around is not a great thing to look forward to. The Traveler's Row has nice rooms, I guess, but it still means making your way through the crowd... Oh I don't know..." she was babbling and she knew it. Why was it so hard to make up her mind... in Avanthal she would have jumped at the thought of sleeping in her own bed, but here... this city made her want to turn tails and head straight to Zeltiva without bothering to look back.

Nidassasyae smiled. She knew it! Humans did like beds! The leopard girl bit her lip in thought, wondering how to solve this crowd problem. They were only going to be here for two weeks, which seemed very little compared with the time they would spend in the wilderness. If Nehsmay felt uncomfortable in a bedroll in the forest, then she'd better enjoy a bed while she could. These thoughts ran through Nidae's head as she tried thinking of a solution. "I got it!" she exclaimed, almost bouncing up and down. "You can get a room tonight, when the crowd's less. Sel and I will be going over to a tavern for auditioning, so you should be able to get a room over at Traveler's Row then!"

Nehsmay pondered and glanced at Nidae... less crowd meant less worries of getting lost so the plan sounded almost plausible... almost being the key word. On the other hand she knew she needed some real rest after all those weeks spent in the woods, her back was killing her. "That's a good idea." she nodded then glanced at Seliarus "What do you think? You've been awfully quiet about this whole situation."

[Seliarus]

Seliarus silently followed them as they were walking away from the crowds, and the worries. His heartbeat returning to normal now, and his breathing calm again. What he just survived was almost a emotional breakdown. But he shrugged everything away, as he had no need of worrying anyone. He listened to the exchange his two female companions had, and stayed silent. He was only free booting himself here anyways, so he hadn't much choice of what his wishes or wants were. Beds or woods, it was fine either way. He was used on sleeping in the woods, but, he couldn't really say no if a bed would be made for him. It felt funny sleeping on that cloud-y thing. Unusual, nothing more.

When the idea of the bed was decided, the Dhani simply nodded, nothing really keeping him from saying no. As he made sure no one other could see him, he spoke, in his usual cold whisper towards the two. "I? I'm fine either way thisss might turn out. I'm just tagging along. Hmm...Auditsssion? That plan workssss jusssst fine for me." He nodded, completely agreeing with the two. Or at least acting like he did. He had no wish of speaking up, so it was for the best he just nodded. "I like walking in the night." He randomly added. With a bit of emotions in that last part, trying to show them he's still alive.

"Me too!" agreed Nidae to Seliarus' statement about walking around at night. Nidassasyae grinned, her idea worked! Nehsmay would get to sleep in a bed, and the whole group could avoid crowds for the rest of the day! Though, they had forgotten one tiny thing... "So... what are we going to do until sundown?" she asked. The next thing they had planned to do was audition and get rooms at Traveler's Row tonight. No one had said anything about what they'd do until then. The leopardess wasn't relishing the idea of sitting around and doing nothing. She couldn't hunt yet because she hadn't gotten the preserving kit and sled.
