Appearance

Aliara Cantrell has eyes the colour of the ocean on a sunny day. Their bright blue shine against her sandy, blonde hair; which hangs loose around her. Twisted at the top, her hair is like vines which fall down into a mass of delicate curls. Her skin, a silky, bronze, has been tanned from spending many days in the sun around Sunberth. Standing at 6", Aliara is a slim but strong woman with slight curves. When not working, she wears loose, cool clothing and always has a bright smile upon her lips.

Personality

Aliara is often called a loud mouth because she is always telling people exactly what she thinks; regardless if it is rude, snarky, or (rarely) nice. She has no filter on what to say and what not say, which usually ends up with her brawling against strangers on a regular basis. However, to those she knows, Aliara is very protective and she is especially loving towards her friends. At times, she tends to overthink situations, but is overall a compassionate, fun-loving person who dreams of captivating an audience of hundreds someday.

History

The Cantrell family was not one of great renown.

Aliara is the daughter of a sailor and spent her younger years waving goodbye to her father from the docks; and if she and her mother were lucky, they would wave hello to him as he returned. Her mother was a simple tavern waitress who spent her evenings tending to the rowdy lot of the Drunken Fish. Due to this, Aliara spent many a day watched over by the sailors who went there often. They told her many stories, but the tales of the pale-faced women with fangs and red eyes captivated her the most. She had been mezmerised from that moment on, clinging to their every word.

She began to dream of dancing up high in silk, yet reality was harsh. After all, dreams are only dreams and the only way she could possibly learn aerial dance was from a Symenestra; and dreams didn't keep one fed either. Throughout her teenage years, Aliara began to take up many odd jobs from the sailors that she had grown up around in order to support herself and her mother. These jobs eventually turned into light mercenary work, handed out due to the frequent scrapes caused by her unfiltered mouth. After awhile, Aliara began to feel tied down when her mother chastised her dangerous choice of work. She began to save up coin in order to pursue her dreams, and even began practicing dance and acrobatics.

On her seventeenth birthday, she finally moved out of her family home and into her own residence in the Sunset Quarters. To this day, she continues to work as a mercenary. She continually hopes to save enough to make a trip to Kalinor in order to fulfill her dreams of becoming an aerial dancer; while remaining unaware of the Symenestra's dangerous nature.
