Alexander Ross "When you hurt your whole life, it's hard to feel anymore..." Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 20 Birthday: 55th of Spring, 496 Birthplace: Syliras Occupation: Squire Appearance: Alexander Ross mainly has the looks of someone who can get almost anything done, even with his thin build. He has shaggy brown hair that, if cut, never reaches higher than his eyebrows, nor does it reach past his chin if grown out. His upper lip and chin have thin shadows of facial hair growing on them, though he usually keeps himself fairly clean-shaven. A pair of thin reading glasses rest over his greenish-blue eyes, giving him more intelligent features. He is very rarely seen without his stepfather's steel longsword holstered to his side. Character Concept: At first glance, Alexander may come off as a bit intimidating. Due to a past of abuse and neglect, he has become quite isolated and usually keeps to himself. When he does talk, he is usually calm and simple, sometimes being a bit blunt. Though he does seem depressed moste times, he is quite bipolar, and his mood will swing between angry, annoyed, calm, and sometimes a bit hyper. A lot of times, he likes to zone out and get lost in his imagination, mainly if the subject at hand doesn't catch his attention. Whenever he is not training to become a better knight, he is more devoted to the study of the Kelvic race, a trait he acquired from his stepfather. He rarely eats. Whenever he does, he tends to not overindulge, giving him his thin build. Character History: Alexander was born and grew up in Syliras under his neglectful mother and her abusive boyfriend. His birth father left when he was only two, giving his mother a chance to jump from man to man. Eventually, she made up her mind to stay with one man, who's name is best unknown. Alexander's mother never seemed to care if this new man laid a hand on her child and eventually, she began to pick up the same behaviour. Eight years later, just shy of his sixteenth birthday, Alexander decided he had had enough. After standing up for himself for once, he moved out. He moved in with his stepfather and grandmother three days later. It was then that he developed his interest in the Kelvic race, and often times spent hours upon hours studying and learning with his stepfather. When his stepfather was not studying, he would share stories of his recent travels, which would include language lessons. Considering he had met with the Benshira and the Inarta more than once in his expeditions, Shiber became one of the main languages he loved to teach, along with a few words and broken phrases of Nari... About two years later, Alexander left to join the Order. But from those eight years of abuse, he adopted a violent personality, and often lashed out at instructors and other squires. Although over the course of half a year, he taught himself to control his anger, but this left him with a bad habit of bottling up his emotions. Even with his strange antisocial aura, he is very approachable, and often more friendly than he seems. A few months prior to his nineteenth birthday, he recieved a message that his stepfather had gone missing during a journey to Wind Reach. Unbeknownst to Alexander, though, his father had been arrested for attempting to steal peices of the Inarta's famous glasswork. After he had been released, no one has ever heard word of him. Ever since then, Alexander had been planning a long quest to Wind Reach to learn what had become of his father. |
