Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

With all the focus on Garland Nivel was able to preform the necessary gestures to preform flux magic. With all the chaos around her it was hard to focus but with some added effort Nivel was able to get her energy flowing the way she wanted it to. She shifted a portion of her energy from her lower body to the top, giving her added strength in her arms. While Patcha ran around the unsuspecting Yuk man, Nivel prepared an attack that she hoped would cripple the most aggressive of the beasts.
Her focus was wavering but she let out her attack anyway, bashing against the ragged calf of the most aggressive yukman as it recovered from the kick that Garland delivered. The creature yelped and winced in pain as the blow made contact. It didn't do nearly as much damage as she had intended but at least provided a distraction that might give Garland an opening.
The other male Yukmen had stumbled up after receiving the devastating kick from the horse. Since it was only interested in mimicking the other Yukmen it choose to go after Garland despite noticing Nivel. The pycon took it upon herself to keep it from overwhelming Garland, She directed Patcha to the yukman with her tail. The kelvic ran to it with surprising speed and viciously bit into it's leg. This reminded her of something the clay squirrel had done, she looked up and saw the exposed weak area that all tall folk seemed to have. Shifting one of her ears into her arm, She thrust a hard punch to that area and the creature wailed in agony.
Nivel had completely forgot about the female, who surprised Nivel with a kick as she mimicked the wails of pain her fellow Yukman had made. Patcha yelped as she was kicked with great force causing Nivel to fall off the saddle and onto the forest floor. When Nivel got up she was in a rage, She made a deep and powerful battle cry and flung herself at the culprits leg. She latched on with her arms and legs and attacked the yukwomen with her tail and ears which she had shifted into mallet like structures. Pummelling the leg of the creature with reckless abandon like she was possessed by an enraged savage beast.
The female yukman cried in pain and stumbled around not knowing how to deal with the tiny creature that was beating her leg bloody.

Garland saw that Nivel was doing ok for herself. He gave a small smile and attacked the Yukman with his pommel, stunning him for a quick bit, grabbing the Yukman by the neck and he raised his foot and slammed it down on the Yukman's knee, it didn't break however. If Garland had a little bit more knowledge about fighting, he would have known that attack from the side of the knee would have been more effective in incapacitating them.
He stood his ground as the other Yukman attacked from the side, stunning the squire, but not sending him over. Garland have a grunt and attacked with his sword, striking the weaker Yukman on the neck, but because of the slightly hardened skin and Garland's blunted blade, it didn't do as much damage as he expected.
As his sword was planted right on the neck of the dazed Yukman, Garland pulled back fast and hard, slicing open a wound on his neck, making the wild earth monster bleed, but not die. The screamed pains were so loud that it made birds fly away, the regular sounds of the forest was silenced by the fighting.
After his previous encounter with a Yukman, he knew that he needed to kill them quickly or they would adapt to be faster and stronger than before. The Yukman he fought previously was a bit smarter than the two he was fighting now, the old one learned much more quickly than these two. This could be a good advantage for them.

The Yukwomen that Nivel was attacking, grabbed at her leg and with more force than expected, tore the pycon off her leg. Before the pycon was ripped in half by the creatures powerful death grip Nivel condensed her already thin body and slipped free. Nivel courageously and nimbly ran along the dirt creatures arm toward her face. However before the mage squire could get a hit in, she was swatted away with a hard strike from the yukwoman's powerful arms. Nivel shot to the ground like a tiny comet hitting the ground.
Needless to say, Nivel was in a great deal of pain. This didn't take the fight from the small pycon however, It just made her more angry. She got up ready to unleash more furry on the Yukwoman that dared hurt Patcha but saw that Garland was in dire straights. The Yukmen whom Nivel had hit in the weak area didn't seem to have been affected and along with the other Yukmen were ganging up on her friend. Nivel had wished she had read up on these monsters more extensively, they were far more stronger than she had previously thought. The Yukwomen wasn't even walking with a limp after the pycon had so viciously attacked her moments before.
Nivel would have to up the ante if she was to be of any help dispatching these creatures. Her only thought was flux even if she didn't want to come to this conclusion. Maybe if she used it in short bursts timed with her attacks she could do it without tiring herself out to much. Nivel had a decent amount of excess djed she could draw upon but it would get spent pretty quickly. She made a sigh and started making wild gestures against her better judgement. One would think it was hard to focus in the middle of a fight but Nivel was pretty focused on causing these creatures pain.
Garland and made a gash across the side of the one creatures neck with his sword, creating quite a lot of blood spatter and causing the creature to make a gargled scream of agony. Nivel was making her way behind the beast at this point and saw the blood splatter overhead as she continued her gestures. Her energy was ready to be manipulated, and she let out a quick swipe of her tentacles aiming for the back of the creatures ankle. She missed and ended up hitting higher than she anticipated leaving a slash in his lower calf. It would hopefully at the very least hinder his movements but the creature already had a massive wound left by garland so it didn't make much difference.
Nivel alternated her power from her upper body to her lower and ran with alarming speed to the Other male Yukman and catapulted herself into the creatures leg. She hoped her attack would throw the creature off balance. She was already starting to feel a head ache come on but so far her body still didn't feel tired. She had to be careful not to over exert herself or risk destroying her own body.
Patcha recovered from the hit she had received and was now making her way to safety. None of the yukmen seemed to care or take any notice, they were far to concerned with the combatants.

Garland looked at the wound at the Yukman, it was in pain, but it didn't look like he was going to slow down. With as much strength he could muster, he slammed his shield on the larger Yukman, staggering him with the bash. He twirled his sword, grinning at the injured Yukman.
Tryn have a loud whinny from the other side of the clearing, the Yukmen and women didn't really look at the horse, but Tryn charged nevertheless. He rushed on the Yukwoman, and knocked her on ground. He stomped on the beaten woman, breaking a rib or two.
"Tryn? I told you to get out of he-" He was cut off by the smaller Yukman, punching him across the face. Garland was knocked to the ground, taking a knee. He rolled off to the side to avoid a stomp from the smaller Yukman.
He noticed that Nivel seemed to be using her flux, he was worried that she might over exert herself or whatever it was called, he noticed that the time they spared, she was winded out after her first flux attack.
He raised up his shield, to block the Yukman's attack. He then attacked with a backhand stunning the smaller Yukman. He grabbed the monster's head, and tilted it by the side, exposing the wound. He raised up his sword and stabbed it down its the wound. It gave guttural grunt and waved his arms, trying to get Garland off his wound, but it was a feeble attempt, as it died. One down two more to go.

Nivel's attack hit the beast but not before it was able to punch Garland to the forest floor. It didn't matter ether way because the pycons attack only grazed the beast launching her a fair distance away. Hopefully Nivel was able to cause a little damage, Nivel wasn't sure how much more she could really do in this fight. Her head ache was already starting to increase intensity, it was still very dull like a light pressure to the head. It was easy to ignore with the pain in her body from being thrown around. She forced herself to get up fighting through the discomfort yet again.
Nivel could now see that Patcha was now in a safe spot behind a tree and seemed to be doing well. However, It seemed that Garlands mount was no longer content with remaining in safety and charged out into the fray trampling the female Yukman. Not that long after Garland managed to tear open the gaping wound he had inflicted on it earlier, creating a chorus of Yukman screams. Garland had managed to kill that Yukman but the Yukwomen didn't seem willing to die just yet.
Nivel was about to charge back into join them but something shaking in the leaves nearby demanded her attention. Nivel could sense a peculiar aura coming from it and turned on her vision to the auras once more. While merely seeing an aura used little to no djed, it was still a touch taxing to do with all that had happened to her recently. Regardless of this she managed to spot the glow that shone threw the leaves. whatever this was had magic, it wasn't much magic mind you but it was most certainly unnatural. Nivel got closer and pushed the leaves aside revealing a ring that was shaking on its own accord.
"I found the Ring Garland!" Nivel called out as she put it around herself like a necklace. Nivel charged back into the on going battle but as she got closer the ring began to shake violently. So violently in fact that it flew off Nivel's head. The pycon tried to grab it again but its incessant shaking was too much for her. "Arg this ring won't stay still" Nivel said as she frantically tried to pick it up again.

"I found the Ring Garland!"
"Good!" He yelled back, he swung at the larger Yukman, it hit right on the chest, but like before, it was dull. It was more of a sharp mace than a blunt sword right now. The Yukman countered with a strong hook to the face, it knocked Garland to the ground.
Garland dodged to the left, rolling away just in time as the large Yukman stomped on the ground where Garland was before. Unfortunately, the Yukman learned from previous observation, and followed up with a kick after he finished his stomp.
"Gah!" The squire replied with a grunt and rolled again, out of harm's way. "Now I'm mad..." He whispered to himself, he figured since Yukman learned as the fight prolonged, he switched things up. He was playing defensively for the most part, it was time to play aggressively.
With a sharp swing to the side of the Yukman's head, he stepped in close and planted his shield right on the Yukman's face, breaking his nose. With a pained grunt, Garland followed up with a sharp kick to the gut, and then another slash.
"Nivel, help me finish these two off!" He yelled, readying another attack.

"Arg I'm coming!" Nivel hollered back as she abandoned her futile efforts to tame the wild ring. These yukman creatures just wouldn't stop, one had been trampled by a horse and the other had been been constantly beaten with a sword. They didn't even seem tired they just kept coming, Nivel didn't like killing but these beasts needed to be dealt with. They would certainly be a threat to anyone in the area if they were allowed to live. Nivel hoped they would go down soon, she wasn't sure her or Garland could take much more of this exhausting fight.
Nivel's head ache hadn't gotten much worse but as she ran along the forest floor she could hear faint echos. When ever one of these ominous sounds reared its ugly head Nivel felt a sudden urge to use more Djed. While this was a new sensation for the pycon, It was still something she was very familiar with. Her father had warned her many times about the sweet whispers that compel magic users to use more magic and that one should never give into them. Nivel's father was a wise pycon and she wasn't about to go against his wishes especially when magic was concerned.
Nivel arrived just time to witness Garland unleash three consecutive attacks to the last living male Yukman. The force behind the blows was just enough to make the yukman fall to his back but the creature was already starting to getting up. Nivel couldn't let this happen, She wasn't as strong as Garland especially with how worn out she was but she would at least make things easier for her fellow squire. The pycon who was far more heavy than many realized, jumped with all her weight on the creatures face, slamming him back on the ground.. She wasn't heavy enough to really keep him down for very long at all, so she attacked his eyes with the hardened club arms she had just made by shifting the clay of her ears to her fists. She bashed the eyes of this wretched monster over and over. Her tails were made into tiny flails that joined in on the massacre Nivel was causing on the yukman's face.
It wasn't long before the yukman threw his hands up to tear his attacker from his face but Nivel had nimbly jumped off before they could get a hold of her. She Hoped this would make finishing the job much easier for Garland with the creature in such a vulnerable position.

The female Yukman, or as some would call a Yukwoman, was still trying to get the horse off of her, but Tryn was as stubborn as Garland was incompetent in riding. With the large Yukman down, and Nivel giving enough time for Garland to recover from his strong attacks, this one was good as dead. Garland stepped on the downed monster's throat, and raised his sword, aiming it down to the creature's head.
"Checkmate!" He dropped the blade right down on the Yukman's head, stabbing it right through. "Coup de grace, that was what this was called? Right?" He asked Nivel and pulled out his sword from the limp body of the dead Yukman. He went over to the last one, and did the same thing to it.
It seemed like those were the only Yukmen in the area... they could have broken off of a larger group, or were the first spawns... Either way it worried Garland, he might need to tell a higher up about this. But first he needed to check on his friend and partner on their little expedition. "Nivel, are you alright?" He asked, kneeling down to look at his friend and too see if she was injured. Seeing that she was made of clay, any deformation is not really all that necessary in checking for injuries in a Pycon.
"Well, you look fine..." He wiped off the blood on his sword with the grass on the ground, covering the already bloody area with more blood. "Right... What were we doing again?" He paused and thought for a moment. "Oh right, that ring thing! Where did you put it?"

Nivel hadn't ever heard of the words that Garland was saying but it didn't matter the monsters were finally finished. There was of course still the female but she was so crippled by now that she hardly posed much of a threat. Despite absolutely despising the creature only moments before, she couldn't help feeling sorry for it now. Thankfully the horse had long since stopped pummelling her, so the Yukwomen was just bloody and broken enough but not quite dead. Nivel contemplated taking the Yukwomen with her since these monsters could be domesticated and leaving her to bleed out seemed cruel. Although that might be too much hassle she would have to see what Garland thought.
"I'm a little tired and I have an ache in my nexus but I'm otherwise fine." Nivel said in response to the Tall Folks concern. "I put the ring thing over there" Nivel pointed in the direction she laid the ring, while it was small its shinny surface made it easy to locate. "It wouldn't stop shaking so I had to put it down." The item wasn't shaking very much at all now only vibrating ever so slightly.
"So what are we going to do with his Yukwomen?" Nivel asked hesitantly. The pycon hoped that killing her wasn't on his mind but she understood if it was. Talking a bloody Yukwomen into the city wouldn't be the wisest thing imaginable. "Could we maybe take her to the Outpost..maybe she could be taught to work on the fields?" This was also a farfetched plan as well. Nivel was clearly grasping at straws but she just couldn't handle the fact that it was likely they would need to simply leave her and hope for the best.
Oocwe don't actually need to take the Yukwomen with us, My character is just having a moment

"It would be better to kill her than to let her suffer. Besides, we also need to burn the bodies I think, to avoid them infecting the land?" He said, sounding more like a question than a statement. "I've heard that burying a Yukman will just make the land where they were buried be able to produce more Yukmen, but I'm not sure. It could be just a rumor, but I would rather be safe than sorry." He said, and looked at the Yukwoman. He looked at the two other dead ones. "I like to be sure of my kills... Though it might be a bit of an overkill..."
He had a guilty pleasure in killing, it was strange. He never liked fighting before that fateful day he fought off the bullies that were ganging up on that four-armed kid when he was younger, but now he was always looking for a fight, a spar, a bar brawl, anything really. He felt that this "weakness" would end up either destroying him, or his career in the knights.
"Could we maybe take her to the Outpost..maybe she could be taught to work on the farm?"
He smiled at Nivel, she was one of the few innocent ones he had met in his life. "Well, we could try to get her to the outpost, but I think the others wouldn't want her there, and... she doesn't look like she's going to survive. Even with medical care. I guess the only way to fix her would be to get a strong healer, but what are the odds of a healer passing through the outposts?" He said and looked at the beaten and dying Yukwoman. "I'm going to kill her, I'm going to make it quick, if that's what you want."
