Kendhl went on to be her usual optimistic self, despite her audible tears, leaving Gale with his thoughts. Everything was going to be okay, it's okay, we can do this and that. It's all the same, it's always been the same. No matter who it what or where you were, it was always going to be alright, it was always going to be fine. Well where were they all when he was getting his fingers ripped off and amputated? Where were they all when he jumped into the ocean? Where were they petching all when Kendhl died.
It wasn't going to be okay. It never was.
People can say it all they want but it didn't change the fact that it wasn't. It didn't change time, it didn't change the world, it doesn't even change someone's petching mind. That bloody kelvic didn't change his mind. Ricky didn't change his mind, heck, it didn't even change his own mind. So what was the point in saying it was all going to be okay?
Even she knew it wasn't.
His chest tingled with a familiar sensation as he sniffed, allowing her to continue on. It would be nice to have someone take care of Martin and Fenvour, but he didn't take care of them anymore. Ricky and Telion were back and with no intention on leaving again any time soon. Whether should could actually help or not was also a question. But what if she turns like that again and scares him, or scares Ricky and Telion? What if she did it again with him?
Why did she do that in the first place?
It just didn't seem to make any sense. Was she that oblivious to the situation to not know how seeing her dead made him feel or was it something shouldn't control? Did she do it on purpose to scare him or just to be cruel? He didn't know what to think about it. He didn't even know what to think about any of it. Didn't know what to think about her right now, as a ghost. He didn't know. What was he supposed to think?
Once Kendhl was finished, Gale took elongated deep breath in, letting it out as slowly as possible. He then folded his hands together and looked back at her. With his blue eyes trying to blink away the water, he spoke with his voice wavering briefly,"Ricky was the one that buried you." his gaze fluttered away, looking out the window. The sun was almost done setting over the horizon. "I forced him to bury you. " He sniffed again, wiping his nose with his wrist. "He carried me to the Infirmary and he got rid of that dog's head I brought back with me." He shook his head, now looking at the floor. "He listened to me reject him and abuse his comfort." He chuckled, still shaking his head. "He gave me a home when I had nowhere to belong, he made me- I'm Martin's Godfather for Ssena's sake." Gale leaned back in his chair, putting his hands in his lap. "That man has done absolutely everything for me. There is no way I'm asking for him to do more." He then simply looked at Kenny. This whole thing started with that question. He might as well answer it. After all, he didn't know what else to think.
