This forum is an OOC forum for PCS and Organizations to work out plans in hardcopy. Each PC or Organization gets a single thread where their players can help work out plans for their PC. Quests, mini-sagas, and Trips can all be organized here as well working out timelines and points of travel and things PCs need to do along the way. Each PC however gets only one Plotnote for their individual PC. Groups get one as well. There is no limit on individuals posting saga or trip plotnote threads. Please denote [PC Plotnotes] or [Group Plotnotes] or [Quest/Trip/Saga Plotnotes] when titling your threads.
Couple of notes, he's stationed at the Mithryn Outpost but since I want to thread with squires stationed in Syliras I've come up with a solution... 1st to 47th - He will be stationed in Syliras to learn the basics of his Knightly skills, a decision by his Patron knight of the more practical squire to learn more of the history behind the knights etc. 47th onwards - Stationed at the Outpost Random dates - He will pop back to Syliras for whatever random reason I can conjure up to justify the thread
Goals & Threads etc.
-Increase Shield, Horse Riding and a ranged skill to 30 (For obvious reasons) -Make a few rivals and even a friend -Learn some first aid (AKA - Medicine/Herbalism) -Learn about the Bronze Woods -Learn more about the Syliran Knights -First encounter with monsters -Kindle a romance -Learn a new language -Spar and train with other squires (or mercs or whatever) -Get super drunk, I mean super drunk. -Have a bet at the archery range -Explore the Bronze Woods -Rack up a few shield points (Positive or Negative) -Have the shyke beaten out of him by a more skilled squire -Beat the shyke out of a less skilled -Visit the temple to learn more about the gods
Dislikes (Will be expanded as written about) -Horses -Being woken up early
Winter Calender :
1st of Winter - The Bronze Watchtower flashes a brilliant blue as Winter begins, signalling the change into the season of Morwen's reign.
5th of Winter - By special decree all magic requires a permit to practice and or teach in the city. The citizens of Syliras have a full season to Comply. After which unlicensed magic practice will be treated as a petty criminal acts which translate to a fine, time working hard labor, or both. Repeat offenders will be treated as terrorists and will be slain.
8th of winter - Rumors spread Dyrens is ill.
11th of Winter - The Main gate's reconstruction and remodel has been completed. Enhancements include an underground location for a 24 bell rapid response unit as well as defensive upgrades. <Full location update indevelopment>
13th of Winter - Zulrav unleashes his fury via a massive snow storm that lasts 5 days. Inhabitants of the city are barred from exiting the city until the snow passes.
19th of Winter - Some of the older squires "organize" a snowball fight. Patrons look the other way and let the squires have their fun reasoning that the squires need a rest day every now and then.
21st of Winter - Temperatures drop lower than usual. There is an increase of cold related illnesses/injuries such as pneumonia, diphtheria and frost bite. Farmers light great bonfires to help keep the livestock warm and everyone seems to have a few extra more layers. Stay warm!
24th of Winter - Reconstruction of the White Swan has been completed, the owners have used the damage as an excuse to increase the quality of their amenities. <Full location update indevelopment>
30th of Winter - This is a super secret placeholder event that will be announced.
32nd of Winter - Boat arrives from Alvadas - several colorful individuals disembark
38th of Winter - The Herald's Arms, to warm up the nights, begins a series of fire inspired dances on the first floor to draw in even more business
40th of Winter - The Knights of the Sylirian Order announce the creation of a new form of knight: The Field Medic. The knights appropriate space within the city to serve as a training facility and offer medical services to its citizens at a discounted rate. <Location still in development>
43rd of Winter - Several mage squires attempt to combat the cold with combined fire reimancy outside the walls. Three of the four die from overgiving leaving a smoldering crater, the fourth is executed for reckless and unsupervised usage of magic.
45th of Winter - This is another super secret placeholder event. Stay tuned!
50th of Winter - Elaborate winter celebration party is thrown at the White Swan Inn by invitation only.
56th of Winter - A band of Jamoura arrive from Karjin and ultimately from the Spires. They meet with Loren Dyres.
75th of Winter - Due to the harsh conditions this winter the Wolves start appearing more often and have been attacking caravans. Speculation has that it may be due to the large portion of woods burned in the previous season.
77th of Winter - After much deliberation the Council of Nine have announced that they have agreed on a new name. The Council of Peoples will now handle any race related representation and concerns within the city. Their work with providing a voice for the many non-human races within the city is often seen as an invaluable service with the knights' monolithic political system dominating the city.
92nd of Winter - Syliras celebrates the end of the year, the Valterrain. Mourning and celebrating life and victory over the forces that brought around the ruin of the world is the typical norm. Here is to the new year!
I thought it would be a good idea to just note down his views on things such as other races or religion to help me to get a more tangible grasp of his personality. Right now my description is quite vague and with any luck this will become more fleshed out as I write about him but I thought this might help other players approach my own.
Races :
Akalak - Brayden has encountered only a few Akalak in his lifetime and respects their physical discipline. He does find their presence unnerving though, not because of their dual mental personality (Which he is also completely unaware of like most outsiders) but their physical appearance.
Akvatari - Brayden has never encountered an Akvatari and find the stories of their physical appearance nothing more than the wild stories of drunken or delirious sailors. If he came across such a creature he would most likely be hostiles and cautious.
Benshira - Brayden has never encountered this sub-race of humans but given their general friendly and polite nature he would be unlikely to treat them any differently to humans and wouldn't even realize there was any distinction unless he was informed.
Chaktawe - Brayden has never encountered this race of but given their similarities to humans he would be far more relaxed around them then none humans though he would be unnerved by the eyes, perhaps believing them to be a product of magic so some hostility is too be expected.
Charoda - Given their rather distinct appearance Brayden would react aggressively if one these creatures present themselves to him with or without people around though how this manifests itself would depend on the reaction of any surround people.
Dhani - He has heard many stories regarding these creatures and like most people would react with force if he encountered one in its Dhani form and to a lesser extent in its human form. Brayden has no experience with these people so would have no way of identifying one in its human form so would likely treat them as a normal human.
Drykas - Brayden would treat such a race like any other human though he is under the impression that these people have "close relations" with their horses so he may treat them with some disgust if he is made aware of their heritage.
Ethaefal - I am unsure how Brayden would react.
Eypharian - Brayden has only encountered a couple of this race during his lifetime in the form of merchants. Finding them rude with their heads rammed so far up their arses you'd need a crowbar to get it out he will often be cold and blunt with someone of this race as well as find their unique physical appearance to be unerving.
Ghost - With hostility, Brayden sees ghosts as completely unnatural and would only seek to harm it rather than help it pass along.
Inarta - Brayden has never encountered this sub-race of humans but given their general friendly and polite nature he would be unlikely to treat them any differently to humans and wouldn't even realize there was any distinction unless he was informed.
Isur - Brayden has only encountered a few non-Sultros Isur and has always found them to be dedicated craftsmen, respecting their physical form and their work ethic. He reacts favourably to them much in the same way as Akalak though does find their metallic arm unnerving.
Jamoura - Brayden has heard rumours of such creatures but he would treat in much the same way as an animal upon first meeting a member of this race (That doesn't mean with cruelty, more than not he would stare at it like we do in Zoos today before moving on)
Kelvic - Brayden has encountered this race before in the form of slaves rather than free Kelvics. He dislikes their presence, believing them to be a product of magic which he reacts like most Sunberthian; with hostility.
Konti - Brayden has only encountered a couple of individuals belonging to this race and frequently refers to them as "fish-people" and depending on his mood would often imply that one of their parents must have petched a fish.
Mixed Blood - Depends on races involved.
Myrian - Brayden has heard rumours of this race and so believes them to be war mongering cannibalistic barbarians and would react unfavourably when encountering one.
Nuit - Brayden would react to this race with hostility, their almost exclusive relation to magic as well as their unnatural existence means that Brayden would never befriend one and would instead rather cut its head off, regardless of its intentions.
Pycon - I am unsure how Brayden would react.
Svefra - Unlike most human race Brayden reacts rather unfavourably to this race. He has encountered a handful of them in his lifetime and believes them to be morally lax trouble makers who have little cares in the world.
Symenestra - With hostility, he has never encountered a member of this race but given their unique physical appearance, physiology and cultural couple with many stories told about this race he would at best be rude, cold and hostile to such a creature.
Vantha - Brayden has never encountered this sub-race of humans but given their general friendly and polite nature he would be unlikely to treat them any differently to humans and wouldn't even realize there was any distinction unless he was informed.
Zith - With hostility, he has never encountered a member of this race but given their monstrous appearance and the stories told about these beasts he would react with violence.
