Sira opened the door to the reception area of the office of the Valintar, quietly stepping inside where she knew she was to wail until he came out to speak to her. As an endal she probably could have gotten away with going straight into his office, most likely, but she would have only done that if the matter was urgent. Hers was not, and so she waited. It didn't take long, not that she expected it would, for the Valintar to see her, and Kaden greeted her with his usual warmth.
"Sira, good to see you. What can I do for you today?"
"It's nothing bad," Sira began, instantly regretting her words. She didn't want to remind him of the last time they interacted. "I just wanted to request a new aerie."
"A new aerie?"
"A smaller one, I mean. The one I have is great, but I feel like it's wasted on me. It was designed for a family of multiple eagles, and now it's just me. I'm sure there are others who need it more than I do. I just want to move back into a regular sized one. I'm choosing a new rider-"
"Are you?" Kaden interrupted curiously.
"Yes. I think I know who and.. well, I want to do it soon, and I want to be in the smaller place before I do."
